Chapter 90 - The Avengers Arrive

"Um, Manager, are you going to kick him out?" The blue-dressed dancer who was caught in yesterday's commotion hesitated for a few seconds before asking Zinn.

Zinn put down the bounty poster, his face a bewildered husky-like expression. 'Kick him out? The man had a bounty of 200 million Berries! He was above Crassien! Did she dare to kick him out?'

But then Zinn thought about Whitebeard's even more terrifying bounty and immense reputation... 'This, should I run away quickly?'

However, Alucard was already here. On second thought, it seemed better to deal with this harbinger of disaster first. Thinking this, Zinn told the blue-dressed dancer, "Aria, I'm relying on you and the others. Please try to stall him for a bit. I'll figure something out in the meantime."

"Understood." Aria nodded and quickly walked from backstage to Alucard's side, pouring him a drink.

"Why is it so quiet? Tell your people to come out and work." Alucard didn't accept the drink Aria offered, but asked boredly.

Aria hesitated for a long time before speaking with difficulty, "I'm... I'm sorry. Because of yesterday's incident, many people are afraid to come to work."

Alucard chuckled softly, taking a sip of his wine. "Don't they have that much courage working in the New World?"

Aria couldn't help but roll her eyes. She had never encountered such a situation before, because this was Whitebeard's territory.

Ever since Whitebeard took over many years ago, the consequences of such an incident were unpredictable. Aria herself had never actually met Whitebeard, and could only secretly hope he wouldn't take his anger out on them. But then again, were pirates ever that reasonable?

"Besides you, how many people are left in the bar? I believe I requested five yesterday, didn't I?"

Hearing Alucard's words, Aria's expression darkened. "Jane was injured yesterday, and two other friends are taking care of her. Now, besides the manager and me, there are only a few people left in the bar."

Alucard said no more.

He planned to stay on this island for a while longer, also wanting to observe Whitebeard's reaction.

It was rumored that Whitebeard would never forgive anyone who harmed his comrades. However, his old rivals like Roger, Golden Lion, and Garp were still alive and well.

Alucard was curious to see if Whitebeard would truly come after him.

Since New Kaba Island was Whitebeard's territory, there was naturally no Marine branch here. In fact, most islands in the New World didn't have Marine branches; at most, fleets would be dispatched for patrols.

Currently, the only large Marine bases in the New World were G-1 and G-5 branches.

Those who could enter this area were generally elite pirates.

If the Marines or the World Government wanted to apprehend someone, they would directly dispatch fleets.

On a small desolate island very close to New Kaba Island, a pirate crew was resting on the beach.

This was the Maelstrom Spider Pirates, led by Captain Squard. Although they hadn't yet joined the Whitebeard Pirates, Squard had an extremely good relationship with Gold Shark Crassien, a subordinate of the Whitebeard Pirates.

"Captain!" A slovenly dressed pirate frantically ran to Squard, who was lying on the beach.

"What's wrong? Why all the fuss?" Squard squinted at his subordinate.

"Crassien! Crassien has been killed!" the subordinate shouted excitedly.

This shout immediately startled everyone in the Maelstrom Spider Pirates. If the Gold Shark Pirates had been killed before joining the Whitebeard Pirates, they wouldn't have found it strange; pirates in the New World constantly fought each other.

But with Whitebeard as such an impenetrable shield, someone still dared to kill Crassien? Unbelievable!

"Who did it?! Roger? Golden Lion? Or even Redfield?!" Squard's face turned red with anger. The three names he rattled off were all names of men at the pinnacle of the New World.

"It's... it's a rookie named Alucard, originally a Pirate Hunter." The subordinate pulled out a bounty poster from his clothes and handed it to Squard.

Squard took it and looked. "A 200 million Berry bounty? He's a somewhat capable rookie."

"According to intelligence, he's a lone wolf. He doesn't have a pirate crew," the subordinate added.

"Where did something happen to Crassien?"

"It was in New Kaba town."

"He might have some strength, but he's utterly foolish!" Squard grabbed his large katana from beside him and roared, "This bastard! How dare he kill my brother! Lads! Let's go take him down!"

"Captain! Calm down," a subordinate came over and said, "Crassien was a member of the Whitebeard Pirates. The Whitebeard Pirates will deal with it themselves. We... we don't need to do anything, right?"

Although the Maelstrom Spider Pirates had a good relationship with the Gold Shark Pirates, unlike them, they weren't officially under the Whitebeard Pirates. So many felt that the Whitebeard Pirates would definitely take action, and they didn't need to get involved.

"You idiot!" Squard punched his subordinate. "My brother was killed! Do you think I'm some coward who'd put my hopes in others?" Squard bellowed at his subordinates, "With our current strength, do you think we can't handle a rookie kid?"

Squard's confidence was well-founded. His own strength was comparable to Gold Shark Crassien's, but the strength of their respective pirate crews was not on the same level.

Crassien had an eccentric and somewhat perverse personality, with fewer than ten total crew members, while his Maelstrom Spider Pirates numbered over a hundred.

With such a disparity in combat power, Squard didn't believe he would lose to a rookie.

That guy must have only barely defeated Crassien, so Squard decided he would avenge his brother!

And since they were so close to New Kaba, it was a perfect chance to show Whitebeard's people the strength of the Maelstrom Spider Pirates!
