Chapter 72 - Chapter 72 - An Unwarranted Grudge

I could barely sleep that night. Caleb Beaumont's unfounded accusations kept replaying in my mind, his words stinging even though they made no sense. What could have possibly turned him against me so quickly?

My phone rang just as I was pouring my first cup of coffee. Griffin's name flashed on the screen.

"Morning, Griffin. You're up early."

"Juliana, we have a problem." His voice was tight with stress. "Beaumont Industries just cut our hydrogen supply chain. Completely. No warning."

The mug slipped from my hand and shattered on the kitchen floor. "What? That's impossible!"

"I wish it was. I've got their official termination notice right in front of me. Effective immediately."

I gripped the counter for support. "Did they give any reason?"

"Just corporate restructuring bullshit. But this is targeted. They're not dropping other clients."

My mind raced. This had to be Caleb's doing, but why? Without those materials, my entire production line would halt within days.
