Chapter 7 - Section - 7

At dusk, after just four hours of deep sleep, Akira had woken up.

His body had somehow managed to recover all his fatigue in half the time an average human sleeps. Maybe it was the Stamina stat that he maxed?

What a bother.

Akira couldn't care less; all he wanted right now was a long, peaceful sleep—maybe even a few days off?

Sigh.

Who was he kidding? Tomorrow was the club fair, and he had mapped out several potential plans to execute. He really needed to plan this efficiently.

The butterfly effect would catch up with him soon; it could even alter the special exams. Originally, Akira was really worried about that.

But does it really matter?

As more time passed, he realized that he had been given straight-up broken perks. Korosensei's knowledge alone could advance this whole world by a generation—and he could read minds and alter thoughts. Who could even beat him?

He'd make a big move tomorrow. If the plot changes, so be it.

He didn't need the plot to remain anyway.

His task wasn't about the plot; it was about people.

He didn't need to bring Class D to Class A—he needed to infatuate the heroines.

Trying to preserve the original story would only slow him down.

It was 7 p.m. right now. Not having anything to do, Akira decided to go outside. There was a difference between reading and actually experiencing things. He needed to know the places without surveillance and get a general outline of the place.

After all, this place would be his home for the next three years.

Advanced Nurturing High School was something else. Akira had never gone to any college or university, but the campus could easily rival any top-tier institution.

It was built on an artificial island, to boot!

The Keyaki Mall alone was a five-story mall with everything one could possibly need. It had a café, arcade, various clubs, and a lot more.

Akira was most interested in checking out the arcade. Although somewhat based on real life, it was a different world in the end. He might be able to find new games he had never played before.

He also needed to visit the electronics shop and purchase some equipment.

It took him little to no time to reach the Keyaki Mall and find his way to the fourth floor. It was on this floor that they sold electronic items. Akira bought various computer parts, a laptop, a toolkit, and some other stuff that probably no student had ever bought at this school.

He was shocked by the fact that they even sold these things.

But despite getting the best products available in the market, Akira was very disappointed.

Classroom of the Elite takes place in 2014; therefore, the technology was a decade behind what he knew. As a reference, it hadn't even been a year since the release of GTA V.

The latest Tekken game in the market was Tekken 6. Tekken 7 would be released in 2015... or it will be now.

After confirming that the items would be delivered to his dorm, Akira completed the transaction and decided to head back to his room.

The items he had purchased had cost him just a little over 90,000 private points. Luckily, he had an extra 500,000 that he got from extortion, but soon he'd resolve the problem of private points in its entirety.

Akira was about to head back to his room when he noticed a certain pink-haired girl stealing glances at him.

Well, there wasn't a single moment when someone wasn't sneaking glances at him, but this one was very special.

Airi Sakura.

She was one of the main heroines—extremely shy in nature and a gravure idol.

Shy and idol—these two words don't fit together at all. But somehow, Sakura had managed to pull this off. She went under the alias of Shizuku and had even managed to appear on a magazine cover.

Akira wasted no time in activating Aphrodite's Eyes.

[25%]

This was the highest number he had ever seen on someone without having any prior encounter with them.

It was probably because she wanted to be an idol, and idols put a lot of focus on their appearance. Clearly, someone like Akira would be extremely attractive to her.

After a few moments of looking around, Sakura went inside a store called SIVCAMERA. She was about to purchase a brand-new camera for herself—one she had always wanted—with the private points she had just received.

Akira immediately followed after her. This was a golden opportunity to raise infatuation—he couldn't waste it!

And he wanted to buy some spy cameras as well.

As he stepped into the store, a faint scent of freshly unpacked electronics and plastic greeted him—sharp, clean, and sterile. The overhead lights were soft but steady, casting a gentle sheen over the rows of glass cases that cradled sleek cameras, lenses, and accessories like they were priceless artifacts.

Akira distracted himself by looking around at the cameras on display.

Sakura stood near the counter, her body drawn in, almost curled like a question mark. Her fingers nervously tugged at the strap of her small handbag, her gaze fixed on a DSLR displayed just behind the glass. She seemed very hesitant about whether to buy the camera or not.

She hadn't noticed him yet.

Akira wandered in with an air of nonchalance, deciding to focus on his own purchase instead of meddling with her. In the novels, Sakura Airi had some level of intuition—she could tell when people approached her with ulterior motives. Akira knew this very well, so he'd only step in when the time was right.

Sakura was just scrolling through the store catalogue, looking at various cameras and their features, when she felt like someone was staring at her.

She looked around—and found him.

It was a store clerk, his eyes locked straight onto Sakura, his facial expression shifting between a mixture of shock and ecstasy. Sakura flinched a little when she looked at him. Her intuition, which she was so proud of, was fully ringing now, alerting her that the man in front of her was dangerous.

She quickly selected the model she wanted and decided to exit this place as soon as possible. She had that camera in her mind already—there was no point in worrying.

"S-Shizuku? You're Shizuku, right?"

Her heart dropped.

Someone had actually recognized her.

"U-Um... I-I don't know what you're talking about."

"No... You're definitely Shizuku! To think you joined this school. This must be fate... You look even cuter in real life…"

Sakura was nervously fidgeting with her strap, looking here and there, avoiding eye contact, at a loss for what to do. This old man knew her identity... He was just trouble for her.

"Why are you ignoring me? You always talk to me online... Hey, I'm talking to you."

"Excuse me, may I ask what's going on here?"

Akira decided that it was the right moment to interfere.

"W-Who are you? Don't get in between me and her!"

The clerk immediately snapped at Akira. It was this guy who kept getting between him and his precious Shizuku. Akira was kind of pissed at his behavior.

Does this guy think I'm a pushover or something?

"Do you know him?" Akira turned his attention towards Sakura, completely ignoring the guy.

"No... I don't know him." Sakura's grip on her strap tightened even further; she couldn't even look Akira in the eye. She really didn't want to be in this situation right now.

Just how nervous is this girl...

"You heard her. She doesn't know you. Now scram."

The store clerk bore a flustered and betrayed expression. He mumbled something under his breath before leaving them alone.

Akira passed Sakura a glance before he moved toward the exit without saying a word.

"W-Wait!"

Sakura shouted—something uncharacteristic for her. Akira stopped in his steps and turned around, waiting for her to speak her mind.

"Thank you for your help."

[25% → 39%]

Akira just nodded and moved on with his business. He had purposefully not introduced himself to her.

If he introduced himself just then, someone like Sakura would probably doubt him and his intentions.

'Is he trying to use this incident to get closer to me?'

'Does he also know me?'

People like her were too closed up, too cautious, and always on guard against strangers.

But if he left without saying a word?

Well, now all doubts are cleared. Since he simply left, he must've genuinely wanted to help her, right?

In fact, Sakura, in her mind, was already nervous about what Akira would say after he drove the clerk away. She couldn't just ignore him after he had helped her out, and she really didn't want to talk to anyone…

It was probably only a spark of gratitude that she felt for him that spiked her infatuation.

Such feelings will usually drift away almost instantly, but Akira had Aphodrite's blessing.

Sakura now has a permanent crush on him, she won't forget him ever in her life.

Akira left the fourth floor and decided to shop at the men's clothing area... He couldn't just stay in his school uniform all day.

He spent another 90,000 on clothes and accessories—now looking even more charming.
