"Father, we must avenge my mother's death; her death will not be in vain. We must declare war on the Dark Elves," said Thor.
"Her death will not be in vain, son! But I will not add more deaths to hers for the sake of revenge," said Odin.
Odin knew that sending more Asgardian troops to Svartalfheim would be suicide and would weaken Asgard, leaving it vulnerable.
"Doing nothing will only show our weakness, Father. Malekith will not stop even if we do nothing!" said Thor.
"This is not the way of war, it is the way of stupidity. A war we cannot win," said Odin.
Thor did not know how to react and rose from his father's throne. Goku was standing watching the view, and when Thor left, he approached him.
"Tell me, what did your father say about confronting the dark elves?" said Goku.
"He didn't agree. He says it's useless to go to war with them."
"So what will you do?" said Goku.
"I must go to someone who will agree," said Thor.
Thor was desperate, and the only person he could think of was his brother Loki. He walked with Goku to the dungeon where he was in his illusory cell. When he arrived, he saw him disheveled and talking to himself.
"Well, well, if it isn't my dear brother with a human. I didn't think I'd ever see you again," Loki said sarcastically.
"Loki, our mother just died," Thor said.
"No..." replied Loki.
Upon hearing that his mother, the only person who had ever shown him love and affection, had died, his illusion vanished and he faced reality: a cold, dark cell and a Loki who did feel the pain of loss.
"I need your help," Thor said.
"You need my help? The great Thor, the man who has everything, comes to ask for help from the vile and treacherous Loki."
"It's about Mother."
"And what makes you think I would help you? After everything they've done to me?"
"She was your mother too. And you loved her."
"She was the only one who ever did. And what's in it for me?"
"Revenge for Mother. And the chance to redeem yourself, perhaps."
"Redeem myself? You and I both know that's impossible."
So Loki, as the god of deception, agreed, but he had his own plan in mind. Goku didn't speak, he just watched the conversation between the two brothers unfold.
"I know a passage. A dark path. But Asgard will burn if I do it," said Loki.
"We will trust you once more, brother. But if you betray me..."
"And if I don't, what then? A bigger cell? I have nothing to lose."
Thor said nothing and agreed, took Loki out of his cell, and began to walk down the passageway Loki had mentioned.
"By the way, the human next to you, who is he?" asked Loki.
"He's someone who came to help us with the elves. His name is Goku, and he's stronger than he looks," Thor replied.
"I hope so. He'll take care of the elves, won't he? Or can't you do it, human?" Loki said sarcastically.
"Not just them, even you," Goku replied with a smile.
"Enough, both of you. I don't want you fighting," said Thor.
As they made their way through the secret passage, he began to tell Thor the plan, one in which he would betray him to make Malekith let his guard down.
"A stratagem no one would expect. Not even you, brother," said Loki.
"Very well, then I must go get Jane," said Thor.
"I'll go with you. I already know the place, so it'll be faster to get there," said Goku as he approached him and put his hand on his shoulder.
Thor was about to respond when he felt them appear in the room where Jane was.
"Thor..." said Jane in a weak voice.
"Come with me, Jane, I'll take you to a place where you can be healed," said Thor as he carried her.
Goku simply approached when Thor carried her and, with his palm on his shoulder, teleported to where Loki was.
"All right, that was very effective," said Thor, carrying Jane.
"All right, it's time for the magic to begin," said Loki.
He began to form a portal with his magic, though it wasn't like the Bifrost; it was a more rustic and dangerous portal directly to Svartalfheim.
"All right, once we pass through the portal, we'll appear in Svartalfheim," Loki said as he watched Thor.
"All right, then let's begin the revenge," Thor said, carrying Jane as he moved toward the portal.
