Chapter 3 - Meeting Eros

Damien's eyes widened in shock, and he instinctively turned toward the voice.

Snap!

The loud snapping of fingers suddenly echoed around him, and the darkness instantly vanished.

A massive white room appeared before him instead, with no end in sight, just like the darkness from before.

The ground was like glass, and when he looked down, he could even see his reflection staring back at him.

"What the hell…" he muttered, looking around in shock.

However, there were no visible corners, ceilings or even walls. It was like he was buried in an endless sea of white.

'What… is this place…?'

And more importantly, he couldn't feel any deja vu as well, meaning, this was an entirely fresh experience for him.

'I don't know if I should be happy about that or not…' he mumbled inwardly, his heart racing.

But then, a cough brought his attention forward.

Damien turned his head—and finally noticed the figure standing ahead.

It was a man, standing about a head shorter than him.

He had neat, short blue hair, and a pair of bright yellow eyes that glowed faintly, like a pair of bulbs.

He wore a clean, well-fitted blue suit—the exact shade of his hair—along with black shoes that clicked lightly against the floor as he stepped forward.

"Ah. You're awake," the man said with a soft smile.

Damien frowned slightly, still confused.

"Ohh… who are you? Where am I? Why am I here? How am I here? I want to get back to Earth—no, I need to get back! How can I get back?"

His voice echoed slightly in the vast white room, and his expression turned more desperate with each question.

The man's brows twitched, a bit taken aback by the sudden barrage of questions.

'It's expected though…' the man thought, letting out a low exhale. 'I can imagine how confused he must be.'

"I am Eros," he said, placing a hand on his chest, "The one and only god of love and sex."

"…Huh?" Damien's brow twitched.

He blinked slowly, not sure he'd heard right.

"…Eros?" he muttered. "A god? Of love… and sex?"

A part of him wanted to burst out laughing, feeling like he had just been pulled into a fantasy novel.

But when he took another look at his surroundings, and remembered the fact that he was literally dead, being before a god didn't seem so crazy anymore.

"…Why did you bring me here?" he asked instead, his gaze narrowing slightly. "Eros?"

The god's brow twitched once more.

'He's just calling my name so casually…?' Eros thought, one eye narrowing slightly.

Still, he didn't complain. Instead, he smirked, his yellow eyes gleaming faintly.

"Let's forget who I am for now," he said lightly, taking a small step forward, his shoes clicking softly. "Don't you want to know… what I can help you with?"

Damien blinked.

His brows furrowed again, and he seemed to consider the words for a moment.

"…Is there a way you can get me back to Earth?" he asked at last.

That was the main thing on his mind. He didn't care if he was in some sort of fantasy world, he just wanted to get back and fulfil his lifelong dream!

"Unfortunately," Eros said, sighing under his breath. "You've died in that world. And there's no way to return to it."

"…Tch." Damien's eyes lowered, his jaw clenching slightly. 'How unfortunate… dying at such a terrible time…'

"But," Eros suddenly spoke again, his voice breaking Damien out of his thoughts. "I can do you something better…"

Damien's eyes flicked up again.

"…Better?"

Eros stepped closer now, just within arm's reach, and raised a single finger.

"A way to grant you your heart's desires."

Damien blinked, his mouth parting just slightly.

"…My desires…?"

The god's smirk widened.

"Yes," Eros said, his bright yellow eyes locking with Damien's.

"Don't you want a world where you don't experience endless boredom?" he asked softly. "Aren't you fed up with everything being so… predictable?"

Damien's eyes widened, his chest rising slightly.

"…How do you…" He muttered, a quiet breath escaping his lips. "How do you know about that?"

"Of course I know," Eros replied, letting out a light chuckle. "Why do you think your whole life has felt like an endless loop, no matter what you do?"

Damien's eyes narrowed, but he didn't respond.

His lips pressed into a thin line, and his jaw clenched. He wasn't sure if he wanted to hear the answer… but something inside him needed to know.

Eros continued anyway, his tone calm.

"It's because the world keeps getting destroyed and reconstructed," he said, his gaze deepening. "Over and over again."

Damien's face twisted in confusion.

"…What?" he asked slowly. "What do you mean by that?"

Eros sighed.

"You probably can't fully understand," he said with a shrug. "But… the Earth's been destroyed time and time again."

He paused for a moment, letting the weight of his words settle before he added, "And you, Damien… somehow, you managed to retain your memories each time. Isn't that crazy?"

Damien's eyes widened even more, his mouth slightly agape.

"I don't fully understand," he muttered. "But… you mean the world keeps getting reset, and I somehow have my memories from each reset?"

Eros nodded.

"Exactly," he said. "That's why you never seem to find anything new. That's why everything always feels like a repeat. You've lived through it all, Damien. Over and over and over again."

Damien's throat tightened.

The deja vu.

The endless boredom that no one else seemed to notice.

It all made more sense now.

"And that…" Eros said, his voice lowering slightly, "Is something I can fix for you."

Damien didn't reply for a few seconds.

His eyes remained fixed on the glowing yellow pair in front of him, but his thoughts were elsewhere.

'He's right…' he thought slowly. 'I can't feel any déjà vu right now. Not even a trace of it.'

"…Then tell me something," he said. "Why? Why is Earth being destroyed and rebuilt each time? And who is the one doing it?"

Eros closed his eyes and let out a soft sigh, shaking his head faintly.

"I can't tell you that," he said. "There are things you'll need to discover on your own. If you want the truth… then you'll have to find it yourself."

'Find out myself, huh…' Damien thought, his eyes narrowing.

He clicked his tongue but didn't press further. It was obvious Eros wouldn't say more than that.

Still…

'This new world…' he thought, his gaze drifting downward for a second. 'I wonder… will there be MILFs there too?'

Almost as if Eros could read his mind, the god suddenly smirked.

"You don't need to worry," he said. "The new world will have everything you want. Magic, thrill, even… lots of women. Just make sure you grow stronger..."

Damien's eyes twitched.

His lips parted, then slowly curled up.

Those words were exactly what he wanted to hear!

'Honestly… I don't have a better option,' he thought to himself, his gaze settling on Eros once more.

'I'm already dead. He's offering me something more than I ever thought possible. A fresh start, without any annoying Deja vu. And lastly, a massive opportunity to claim MILFs!'

His heart thumped again.

Not from anxiety this time—but from pure anticipation.

"…Yes," he said quietly. "I accept."

He nodded once at Eros, eyes sharp and clear.

'There's no way I'm missing this.'
