"Why are you turning away? In this situation, the one who should be embarrassed should be the lady, right?"
As Saber said this, Yoru couldn't help but smile wryly. Embarrassed? The lady? I don't see a shred of embarrassment on you at all...
Thinking that in his heart, Yoru turned back around. Since she wasn't the least bit shy about showing her body in front of him, he figured there was no reason for him to act overly proper either.
Yoru had never been the reserved type to begin with. Seeing Saber naked didn't spark any wicked thoughts in his mind, nor did he feel the slightest bit of guilt.
His general reaction was just: Oh… I saw it… so I saw it, huh.
Frankly, even though he was already married and had a child, Yoru's emotional intelligence hadn't really improved much. As for Saber—who had ruled over Britain for years while crossdressing as a man and even had a wife as a cover—she was even less likely to possess anything resembling emotional intelligence.
In truth, this girl who had become king at just sixteen still didn't truly understand what romantic feelings between men and women were supposed to mean.
Of course, as a woman being stared at by a man while completely exposed, Saber still felt some level of shyness. But those feelings were greatly subdued because of what was in her heart.
This was the man she loved. She had already decided to express her feelings boldly—not as a king, not as Saber—but simply as the girl named Artoria, someone who wanted to love and laugh freely.
Even though their relationship wasn't technically that of lovers yet, Saber was already holding herself to that standard.
She recalled something Guinevere once told her—something about what husbands and wives should naturally do. Though Saber was a woman, and her marriage to Guinevere had only been for show, they did share a bed. So naturally, Saber had seen Guinevere naked.
And for some reason, Guinevere had even taught Saber a few things in that area… like how people might not be able to resist doing certain things.
But… looking at Yoru now, he didn't seem even slightly aroused. Why was that?
Saber couldn't understand it. Could it be… that I lack charm?
Thinking that, she lowered her head to glance at her own body. Compared to Guinevere, she was indeed lacking in a lot of feminine qualities. Years of being king and fighting on the battlefield had made her behavior and mannerisms far more masculine than most women.
But if I try doing… that…
Remembering what Guinevere had once taught her, Saber slowly pressed her bare body against Yoru's. And before he could even react in his shock, she was already lying in his arms.
"Saber, what are you doing?"
"Is it because I'm not charming enough? Guinevere once said that no man can stay calm in front of a naked woman. So why are you completely unmoved when you see my body?"
Nestled against Yoru's chest, Saber spoke with a slight tone of frustration and teasing. Just as she said—she was no longer a king, but simply a girl wanting to act a little spoiled with the man she loved.
Love is such a strange thing. At first, she didn't even understand what she was feeling. But as she spent more time around Yoru, that fluttering in her chest only grew stronger.
She had always kept up a perfect image as king in front of her subjects, and a dignified figure in front of her knights. But now, for the first time, she was approaching a man simply as a girl—just to be close to him, to feel something new. And the sensation captivated her, pulling her deeper.
Can you feel it? My presence, my feelings... I'm right here.
Yoru felt a faint stir in his heart. The warmth of her soft body in his hands made his mouth go dry.
He was a normal man. Naturally, he had normal desires.
"You're very charming, Saber."
Yoru spoke, his voice carrying a hint of bitter laughter.
"Maybe I was never really a loyal, devoted man to begin with. But... right now, I just don't have the heart for this. My wife is still in a coma—her life uncertain. I just can't..."
As he said this, Saber blinked in surprise, then slowly looked apologetic.
"I'm sorry… I didn't know. I wasn't trying to do anything... I just… I didn't know how else to express myself..."
Saber stammered in panic. Seeing her flustered expression, Yoru smiled gently, then leaned down and softly kissed her lips.
"I understand. I can feel your feelings. But right now… I can't accept them yet."
After being kissed so suddenly, Saber finally looked truly embarrassed. She lowered her head and curled herself into Yoru's arms.
"A man can be passionate, but at the very least, he shouldn't be frivolous. If you're going to be my woman, then you'll need Airi's approval first... and also... hers."
That last sentence he muttered quietly—so quiet, almost to himself—because Yoru no longer believed he had a way back to Orario.
If he did obtain the Holy Grail, his wish would surely be to save Airi—not to return to his own world.
I'm sorry, Riveria. Looks like… we may never meet again...
Lost in thought, Yoru was silent, until Saber softly spoke again.
"Your wife… let me take a look. Maybe I can figure out what's wrong."
As Saber said that, Yoru's eyes lit up. He really didn't understand this world's power system that well, but if it was Saber, she might be able to spot something he couldn't.
"That's great, Saber. Let's go!"
"Wait a second… don't call me Saber anymore!"
Saber said this with a playful pout and raised a finger to gently press against Yoru's lips.
"Call me Artoria. That's my real name."
