Humanity was once a peaceful home. It was once a race that seemed to live in harmony but what do you call harmony when souls began to go astray.
Harmony was short lived and was replaced with nothing other than war and conquest. We fought ourselves and ended up being killers of our mothers, families and friends. We became demons.
And God looked upon our sins and weighed them. It was worth more than the weight of the earth. In order to bring back salinity, he decided to end the world. But he kept to his promise. He did not destroy earth by water or flood but something more deadly.
He gave the most dreaded being in the galaxy, Lucifer the permission to trample on earth and its inhabitants. And that was when the apocalypse began.
Earth began to be savaged by the most cruel beings in existence. Demons began to rampage of humans and the gods watched earth being burnt.
And all of a sudden the demons slowed their pace. Maybe they wanted to the inhabitants of earth to enjoy their last moments on earth. Or perhaps, they wanted to enjoy their last kills.
Whatever the case was, the fact was that after the fallen angels had wiped out half of earth within the space of one year, they slowed down to about the destruction of a single town in a month.
Well thanks to this, technology improved from the fractures. Scientists discovered fragments of the demons and used them to create high efficient weapons known as Dark Weapons.
With these weapons, humans began to ward off demons. Slowly they began to secure their place and the technology continued as Scientists began to use the dead and fallen bodies of demons to create even more powerful weapons.
Every citizen of a country had at least one E rank Dark Weapon. This was to help the citizens defend themselves in extreme danger. But the higher ranked weapons were stored with the Super Military.
Although people who were rich enough could afford to buy out some deadly Dark Weapons from the greedy Scientists or Super Military. The poor were left with the low grade weapons.
As time went on, some of these weapons were too weak for some demons as a new class began to attack. Humans were taken aback once again and they were close to useless and defenseless in the mist of these Arch Demons.
All of a sudden, one day an angel landed on earth to defend earth against these demons. More of these angels began to flood in and it was noticed that they were defying the gods rule and the Sovereign's judgement.
These angels were now called Dark Angels. They protected earth but they were never approached by any human because they feared their strength and didn't trust them.
"Sniff." a light skinned lady sniffed lightly. Her pink hair was neatly packed and it curled beautifully in its own way around her neck. She was the storyteller and her son was the listener.
"Mum?" a fair skinned guy with blue hair asked lightly. His face told to be at least in his late teens. He stared at his mother as he saw her cry.
"Nothing son. Nothing..." she muttered to herself. He stared at her in shock but it faded in an instant as a new expression washed over his face. He was now angry.
"Every damn time you tell this story, you end up crying. What is it mum?! Why do you cry whenever you tell this tale? I want the truth." he said as he stood up from his seat.
She stared at her son in shock. She had always wanted him to be calm and happy. She had always told him to stories because he had never stepped out of the roof of the Safe Zone they were in.
"Xero. I need you to calm down. I will explain all you need but you have to sit and listen calmly. I hate to see you angry." she said calmly as tears streaked down her cheek.
Xero stared at her for a moment. She always seemed unhappy when he enraged. He stared at her lovingly eyes which bleeded tears.
"Okay mum." he said and sat back on his seat. His mum smiled at him and wiped away her tears. She stared at him and he rubbed his soft hands on her fleshy cheeks.
"Everyone!!! In!!! A demon gate has opened!!!!'' a loud voice thundered in the air. Even though that they were both inside a single room, they could still hear the voice loud and clear.
Soon it seemed like everyone began to run and trample upon themselves. They scramled around for their space.
They were already used this. They had always stayed in this single room for more than Seventeen years. Xero had never stepped out to see the world outside the Safe Zone .
But they would occasionally move around the Safe Zone but never outside it. His mother never allowed him to relate with anyone. He did not have any peer or friend.
"Again?'' Xero asked. His mother stared at the door. The recent attacks had been somewhat weekly. This was uncalled for. It was strange but they had to defend themselves before asking questions.
From all they heard that the attacks were nothing but weak class demons and the Super Military were handling them quite well.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door. Their door. Both Xero and his mother turned sharply to stare at the door. The sound repeated itself.
"Mother should we..." his mother held him back as he tried to stand.
She stood up and quickly grabbed a short knife as her hands began to shake and vibrate visibly.
Xero tried to speak but his mum dropped her finger on her lips signalling him to be quiet. He closed his mouth instantly.
She opened the door with a scary speed and in an instant she struck her knife in the open. Blood splattered over her face and she stared at her handy work in shock.
"What the..." she muttered in shock. Xero eyes narrowed sharply as he stared at her. Her felt a rush of fear in an instant.
"What happened?" he muttered as he rushed to the door and he squeaked in shock at the work.
