Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: The Throne of Fire

---

🔥 Scene 1 – Walking Into the Past

Kael stood at the base of Mount Haldris —

a volcanic monolith, buried in silence.

Ashmourne hummed low, trembling.

> "This is where I was executed," Kael said.

"The first time."

Cassia placed a hand on his shoulder.

> "Do you want to turn back?"

Kael didn't answer. He walked forward.

The air grew hotter.

Every step, a memory.

Every breath, a name he once had.

And at the summit —

the Throne of Fire.

---

👁️ Scene 2 – The Living Throne

It wasn't a chair.

It was a furnace shaped like judgment.

Stone lips. A crown of flames.

And a hundred divine eyes watching from every crevice.

> "Who comes?" the Throne roared, voice like magma.

Kael stepped forward, cloak burning at the edges.

> "The boy you burned.

The soul you rewrote.

I come not to kneel — but to reclaim the spark you stole."

The flames hissed.

> "We do not forget execution.

Only mortals forget."

> "Then remember what you made that day," Kael growled.

"You didn't burn me.

You forged me."

---

⚔️ Scene 3 – The Trial of Flame

The Throne's eyes split open.

A circle of fire formed around Kael —

ancient trial glyphs spinning midair.

> "Then stand judgment again," it declared.

"By divine right, you will face the fire you escaped."

Kael raised Ashmourne.

> "And this time, the fire burns back."

From the furnace, three Trial Beasts emerged:

A wolf of pure ember.

A serpent made of molten glass.

A faceless judge in robes of flame.

Each one, a reflection of Kael's past sins.

---

🔥 Scene 4 – Fighting the Sins

Trial One: The Ember Wolf

It roared — Kael's rage incarnate.

Ashmourne clashed with it midair, fire against forgotten fury.

Kael struck low.

> "You're not my anger.

You're what I became when they silenced me."

Trial Two: The Molten Serpent

It whispered lies in Kael's ear — memories that never happened.

> "You begged to be erased. You wanted it."

Kael slammed Ashmourne into the ground.

> "I begged for mercy. Not extinction."

The serpent shattered.

Trial Three: The Faceless Judge

It showed Kael an image of himself —

kneeling.

Bleeding.

Begging.

Kael looked it in the eyes.

> "You are not my memory.

You are theirs."

And cleaved it in half.

---

🔥 Scene 5 – The Throne Reacts

The Throne shuddered.

> "You broke the cycle."

> "No," Kael replied.

"I remembered it."

Flames surged.

The mountain cracked.

Ashmourne ignited — not with fire,

but with Kael's own voice.

Every soul he'd ever been…

every scream…

every silence…

Sang through the blade.

> "You burned me once," Kael whispered.

"Now, I burn you."

---

💀 Scene 6 – The Throne Falls

Kael struck the ground.

A shockwave of ash tore the summit apart.

The Throne roared —

and began to crumble.

> "We… made you…"

> "You tried," Kael replied,

"but I made myself."

The flames died.

The throne — silenced.

And Kael stood at the crater's center,

unchallenged.
