Chapter 47 - FORTY-SEVEN

 Andrew was ready to argue.

 He positioned himself in front of Lana, arms folded, his entire posture screaming protective. He arched his brow and eyed Nicholas from head to toe, ready to go one on one with him until he figured out what he wanted to say to Lana and why he needed to say it to her privately.

 But all it took was Lana's palm, gently pressed against his shoulder for them to slump, all the façade he had set vanishing. She pat him gently and reassured him she was going to be fine and would be back soon, Andrew immediately left with no choice but to let her go.

 Not of course, without sending a final glare to Nicholas as he watched him lead the way to his car. He didn't leave until they were both inside the car, Andrew's eyes threatening to bore holes through the tinted glass.
