Chapter 48 - FORTY-EIGHT

Lana woke up in her bed the following morning and for the first time since she moved into Alexander's mansion, it felt weird.

 Like the bed wasn't hers, she felt out of place. Like she hadn't spent the past several weeks in it, it felt uncomfortable. Like it wasn't a bed she had grown used to, it felt strange and foreign.

 Regardless of it all, she shrugged all those emotions and got out of bed, heading straight to the bathroom to get ready. Having returned home the previous day earlier than usual, she spent the rest of her day locked up in her room, pondering on thoughts she'd rather not ponder on. she didn't leave her room not even once to check in on Alexander's return to the house- it was none of her business.

 Now, morning, she was ready to leave the house to head to school when her stomach grumbled. She immediately ran her hands over her belly, reminded of how she'd made breakfast the previous morning for Alexander.
