Chapter 62 - SIXTY-TWO

For one dizzying second, Lana thought her ears were going to give out.

The sound was deafening- camera shutters firing screaming nonstop, reporters' voices overlapping in a loud chant. She had never heard anything so loud, so pressing. It was chaos wrapped in bright blinding light.

But the noise didn't matter. Not for long anyways. Because in the very next moment, her mind went blank.

All thanks to Alexander. And his lips. Which were on hers.

She froze, every muscle locked in shock. Her glass slipped slightly in her hand, her breath caught somewhere in her chest. She couldn't think, couldn't move. The press of his mouth against hers was firm, steady, not rushed-but it was real. So very real.

Alexander was kissing her. She and Alexander were kissing.
