Chapter 61 - SIXTY-ONE

 Alexander and Lana left the fashion house and immediately got into Alexander's car, ready to drive straight to the party.

 The drive was a blur of city lights, the hum of the engine the only sound between them. Lana sat back against the leather seat, trying to calm the rush of nerves in her stomach as she kept sneaking glances at Alexander, unable to help herself. His charcoal grey suit looked impossibly sharp, tailored to perfection, and it matched her outfit in a way that felt almost too deliberate. The sight made something flutter in her chest, though she quickly looked away each time, cheeks warming at her own thoughts. He looked handsome- painfully so- and she wasn't sure what unsettled her more- how easily he carried it, or how much she noticed.

 Still, she couldn't deny the pride swelling inside her. She adored the way her outfit draped over her figure, the way the fabric shimmered when light touched it. She looked gorgeous and even she knew it.
