Beyond Appearances

Away from the industrial city of Gaishan, where concrete gradually gave way to trees, stood a strange complex nestled in the forest.
The Eden School.
Five buildings arranged in a hexagon formed the base of the domain. At their tip stood a ten-story triangular building, built of old bricks and topped with a glass ceiling.
To the left of the large base, a circular building housed two internal structures: one in the shape of a G clef, the other in a C clef.
---
09:00
In the building in the key of C.
The room was simple and clean: a bed against the wall, a chair next to it.
On the bed lay Beven, still unconscious.
A slight movement.
Then another.
He slowly opened his eyes and stood up, discovering a girl sitting next to him. Her hair was a mix of black and white, and her red and gold eyes seemed to observe more than just her face.
Without a word, she threw him a bracelet marked with a C.
Beven instinctively caught up.
She stood up and motioned for him to follow her.
— Hey… wait! Where are you taking me? Who are you really?
She gave a smile.
—I want to help you. And it will benefit me too.
Become strong. And be loyal.
- You're really weird, little one...
— Appearances are deceiving. Never trust them.
She opened a door.
---
Inside, a huge circular room.
Rows of red and black chairs surrounded a theater podium.
Two large pianos faced each other.
— Could you play a little tune?
— It's a bit sudden… I have a bad feeling.
—You just have to get to the piano.
Look beyond appearances.
She sat calmly.
—And by the way... you're not alone.
A man appeared.
Neutral expression, intense gaze, a scroll drawn on the cheek.
Moza.
- Oh. It's you.
—What is this guy still doing here?!
— Come on, come on. You will collaborate.
We must succeed together to succeed.
—I don't need this ball, it will slow me down.
The girl's look changed.
Cold. Sharp.
— Do it. NOW.
- All right !
Moza murmured, perplexed:
— It's incitement… normally, we can resist.
—You read the library books, didn't you?
They found themselves in front of a staircase covered with a red carpet.
Beven tried to move forward...
A shiver forced him to step back.
— Close your eyes. See rather than look.
They inhaled.
When they opened their eyes again, their globes had turned completely white.
Before them: a bottomless pit.
— An illusion.
Above floated a liquid sky, changing colors, unreal.
—The spiritual world is above our heads.
This is the safest path.
They jumped.
---
They found themselves in an empty opera hall.
On stage, a piano… and a violin.
Someone stood up in the stands.
A coat.
A hat.
A face painted like that of a clown.
He left the room without a word.
---
Later — in town
A man in a white coat walked through the crowd.
He went home, went up the stairs, opened his door.
- Cuckoo. Not too hard, the work?
He froze.
- Who are you ?!
On a chair, the clown.
— The clown and the doctor. Part two.
—What are you talking about?
—I need you. From the doctor.
—How do you know that…?
— You have changed. Looking for answers.
— I want two things.
Finish my research…and don't get lost.
—What do you really want?
— Open this door.
The clown threw him a bottle of red liquid.
- Drink. Count to thirty.
—What is this thing?
— Tomato juice. Well… almost.
He drank.
Black.
He suffocated. Digging.
And came out of a coffin.
— You are dead. Then came back.
You are a vampire.
The truth overwhelmed him.
—I was ignorant...
- Maybe. But now you will help me.
— Am I your servant?
- Yes. Blood pact.
Betrayal is paid with death.
She handed him a briefcase.
"You're going to help me assemble my team.
My future bunnies.
