Chapter 2 - I Wanted to be Radha

"I Wanted to Be Radha"

I wanted to be his Radha,

but ended up like Meera —

loving him like the moon loves the sun,

from far… without being seen.

I dreamed of a fairytale,

like a child holding stars in hand,

but he ended it midway —

like rain that leaves before touching the land.

I wanted to be his home,

like a lamp waiting for night,

but became a passing shade —

like clouds that hide the light.

I asked for forever,

like rivers asking to meet the sea,

but learned to love quietly —

like wind hugging a tree.

I gave love like Sita,

pure like fire that doesn't burn,

and lived her exile too —

like pages no one turns.

I thought I was his last stop,

like silence after a song…

but I was just a path,

like a road he walked along.

I waited like Radha,

loved like Meera — deep and free.

But he was never my Krishna…

Not for Radha,

Not for me.
