"He's fine now, recovering gracefully," the Queen said, gently stroking the carved armrest of her chair.
"How could those earth crabs have been what caused such a fatal turn?" Xozo said, referring to the Kegis. A vein pulsed visibly in her neck.
"We are on it already, since it shows that they were there for the human, but Zee got in the way," the Queen stated.
"That human again." Xozo curled her upper lip in disgust, spitting the words as her chest rose in a sharp breath.
"What are the reports on what you were sent on?" the Queen asked, her fingers tapping a slow, steady rhythm on her thigh.
