Chapter 43 - Chapter 42 The Meeting.

Amelia looked back to everything that happened just now. She remembered the evidence of a few misdeeds done by her colleagues being sent to her desk in the form of pictures and files that were concrete and ironclad.

The letter had the name of the person who had send it to her, Rita Skeeter.

Rita Skeeter, in a way was one of the most annoying enemies anyone can ever have in the current wizarding world. She had the ability to gain information from people and places in a way that was even more efficient than the ministry's entire intelligence department.

Plus, she has such a hold on the press than even if everyone knows that she is writing false articles, the public will believe what was written and no one would try to stop her publishing. They knew that doing so will result in them being implicated by something that Rita had found proof of. Rita was actually that horrifying to them.

Right now, Amelia got a small deal from Rita. She will give the full information of the evidence to her without publishing it on the paper. This will give Amelia time to capture these corrupt members of the ministry without giving them a chance to escape or create fake evidence.

But she knew Rita would not make such a deal without trying to gain something from it and when the price for it was asked, all she got was an agreement to a meeting with a student she had never heard before.

She knew Auden did not belong in any of the sacred twenty-eight or the other influential families as she had kept an eye on every family because of being the head of the Bones family. She knew Auden was not from an influential household and so she was intrigued enough to send a few of her trusted agents to get information about the boy.

After getting the information, Amelia was able to easily conclude that it was fake. Even though her agents were sure that his identity was legitimate, Amelia was able to see traces within it due to her experience that told her otherwise. And she also knew that the people who are able to do this flawlessly can only be counted in one hand.

That is why she was intrigued to know what this eleven-year-old prodigy wanted to talk to her about. So, she decided to see him face to face while accepting the deal. The deal only talked about a meeting and not about agreeing to anything, so she decided to endure it as it cannot give her any loss at the end.

The first conversation between them went a bit complicated. When Auden gave the conditions of the oaths before the conversations were made, anyone else would have thought that the deal was highly beneficial to them as they can back out anytime. But Amelia knew better, the child sitting in front of her was said to such a prodigy that the teachers were teaching him separate advanced level knowledge in his first year when the other children of that age were only glimpsing the world of magic through their own hands.

So, Amelia knew that the deal was made because of the confidence of the boy in front of her. His confidence that after the meeting is over, Amelia will be a supporter for him in his endeavour.

As the oath was made, Auden put four chess pieces on the table. And then he said something that shook her to the core.

"I am the direct descendant of the four founders of Hogwarts, and my full name is Auden Hogwarts" he spoke calmly and raised his wand to show that he can still use Lumos, proving that his oath was not broken and that every word he had spoken was true.

Amelia could not believe it, for a moment she wanted to shout out that he was being lied by someone or that he had a misunderstanding. The oath only works if Auden knows that he is lying. If he believes that the information is true even if it is false, the oath will not work.

But suddenly, the four chess pieces began to shake as four spirits appeared in front of Amelia. Amelia was not an ordinary wizard or auror. She was the head of the DMLE and had dealings with spirits before. She knew for a fact that the spirits cannot change their image no matter what they do and are stuck in what they looked like on the day they died. And with her senses, she was able to ensure that she was seeing spirits instead of any illusion magic or anything similar of that kind.

The pictures of the founders were not widespread in public, but they were present with many of the pure blood families as well as the ministry. Amelia had seen those pictures stored within her family as a child more than once. She cannot mistake them for anyone else due to her familiarity with their characteristics.

If one spirit had a similar appearance to the founders, she could have considered it as a coincidence. But seeing four spirits of the founders at the same time made her realise the truth and seriousness of the matter in front of her.

But it did not stop there, Auden also took out a parchment written by Nicholas Flammel himself, giving the alchemist's guarantee that the boy Auden was found within the Hogwarts castle a few months ago, sleeping inside a structure that was helping him by siphoning magic to him for at least a thousand years.

The four spirits of founders then told her that there were complications with Auden's birth that required all these centuries for him to awaken as he was healing up within the Hogwarts castle without any person alive knowing about it.

Amelia finally felt like everything made sense as it would explain the fake documents she had seen before as Nicholas Flammel was one of the few people with the powers and resources to create such a stellar fake document. This cemented the fact that Amelia was sitting in front of possibly the most important person in the entire wizarding world. Even the boy who lived might pale in comparison to the importance of the person now sitting right in front of her.

Amelia gulped as she felt her throat dry.

"Why..hmrmp…why did you come to me with this information" Amelia finally manged to ask without stuttering her words.

"Because it is time for the wizarding world to move forward" Auden said as he began to tell her about his plan.

A/N- hope you like it.
