Chapter 2: A Painful Target

(It's a dark, foggy night. Xiao Feng, wounded and gasping for breath, steps into the deep forest.)
💭 "I can't stay here... They're behind me. I have to run, but my legs are about to give out."
(The sound of heavy footsteps approaches. A dim lantern light flickers through the trees.)
🔊 Feng Jie (in a cold, decisive voice, accompanied by two others):
"There he is! Xiao Feng is running! We won't let him live."
🔊 First follower:
"The order is clear: he must die. Don't waste time."
(Xiao Feng focuses on his wounds and tries to control his breathing.)
💭 "I have to find somewhere to hide... A cabin, a shelter... anything is better than getting caught here."
(The ground feels soft and wet beneath his feet; he slips a few times but manages to keep going.)
🔊 Second follower:
"Move faster! We can't let him escape."
(Xiao Feng takes a moment to rest, hiding behind a tree and catching his breath.)
💭 "I don't know how many are behind me... but whatever it is, I have to survive."
(He puts his hand on his chest wound, feeling sharp pain.)
🔊 Feng Jie (his voice echoing from afar):
"Xiao Feng! This is your last chance! Surrender or die!"
(Xiao Feng ignores the threat and runs deeper into the forest.)
💭 "Running is my only choice... I don't know how long I can keep this up."
(The sounds of breaking branches and heavy breathing get closer.)
🔊 First follower:
"He can't run anymore. This time, we end it."
(Xiao Feng drops to the ground and tries to hide.)
💭 "If they catch me this time, it's over..."
(One of Feng Jie's followers points a flashlight at him.)
🔊 Second follower:
"Here! I found him!"
(Xiao Feng
stands up with all his strength and runs away.)
