Chapter 6 - The Felling's That Connect

After a while, Kara runs up behind Seka.

"Oi, is the match over?"

Seka replies, "Just missed it. Where were you anyway?"

"Toilet. The fish I ate was too much."

Chio gives a thumbs up. "Nicely done."

Kara looks at her with a confused face.

"Oh, Big Bro Kara, you're here."

"Hey Mizuno, how are you?" Kara asks.

"I am fine, but what's with that weird laugh?"

"I am so unlucky I wasn't even able to—"

"There there, don't need to be sad. There are other moments," says Seka as she tries to pat his head.

She couldn't reach his head.

Kara comes down a little so she can reach him.

Kara gets all red.

Seka looks at his face, and then at Chio.

Chio says, "You should go on a date, like really."

Seka runs off saying, "I need to go to the toilet."

Mizuno says, "Should I come too? Do you need help?"

Seka replies with a red face, "Do I look like a child?"

As she walks out, she explodes with emotions.

"Sis!" Mizuno screams as we see the clear sky.

A black figure talking, "Yes, I am. If it's for my clan, I am willing to do anything."

"Then you shall be chosen."

Kara, trying to sleep, it seems that something is really going on.

He slowly looks outside. Morning comes. Without any delay, he enters the tournament lobby for B-ranks. He finds a poster that states the upcoming tournament.

"What's up with this timing? So bad. It would have been a great time to improve, but I have professional stuff at that time," he thinks to himself. He sees Seka.

"Ooh, Seka," he thinks to himself.

"Hey, Seka, what are you doing?" he asks.

She comes close and says, "Hi. Oh, was just about to look for a quest in the city."

Kara looks here and there, as he is looking for someone.

"Is there any problem, Kara?" she asks him.

"Oh, just wondering where your brother and your Chio are," he replies.

"Well, Chio said she's not feeling better today, and Mizuno is in the tournament. I just felt off, so I took a break." She puts her hand on her head.

"Oh, is that so." He replies

Kara keeps looking at the walls.

"Anyway, what were you looking at?" Seka jumps in front of Kara, confused.

"Huh? Oh, it's just this tournament entry for the nationals this year—"

"Wait, do you want to enter it?" asks Seka.

"Nah, I have other things to do these days," says Kara.

Seka gives a bummed face.

Kara looks at her. She looks quite depressed and uneasy.

"Hey, is everything all right?" he asks, his face in confusion.

"Yeah, yeah, it's all right. Why don't we take a seat?" Seka insists.

They get out of the lobby and take a walk around.

Seka walks as she is still a bit angry. Kara takes a glance at her.

"Did I just say something to her? Why is she mad at me?" he keeps on thinking.

He looks around, sees a café.

"You want some coffee? You look tired. If you want, I can bring you some." Kara looks at her with excitement.

"Yeah, sure," she nods.

Kara takes a step—

Stops.

"Did you have a fight with Mizuno?" Kara looks back.

"What am I even doing getting bummed up like this? He doesn't even know how much I wanted to participate in the tournament with him," she thinks to herself.

"Sigh... no, no. It's not that. We're just fine. I was just thinking how pitiful I can be sometimes," a flashback as she talks.

"Seka, run!" her father's voice again.

"I can't do anything but run. Even he stayed behind just so I could get out of that place."

Tears start forming in her eyes.

"Huh?" Her vision gets blurry.

Kara puts his hands on her shoulders.

"I know it might be hard to take, but even though I have no idea what you're talking about, I do know that you can still change, become better, and stop things from happening. So stick there, okay?" Kara looks her in the eyes.

Seka just keeps looking at him. Her face gets all red.

Kara notices her golden eye starts glowing. It's leaking through her eye patch.

His eyes focus on it. He has a dizzy feeling.

"Father, it doesn't look good down there," a mysterious figure with just red eyes and darker pink hair.

"I can't fix it unless I go. Look after us. Your mother and I will leave," a figure with dark blue sapphire eyes that glow just like Seka's. Hair dark and black.

Kara starts breathing heavily and falls on his knees.

"Hey Kara? What happened?" She wraps her arm around his shoulder, her face worried and concerned.

"It's fine. Just felt like I had a glimpse of something," Kara tries to explain.

Boom!

There is an explosion.

A black figure appears. Kara slowly looks at the black figure. She takes a slow walk in front of Kara.

Seka looks ahead, scared. Her anxiety starts kicking in. Her hands start to shake.

The figure passes them. Kara senses another explosion.

Bam!

The gate of the museum explodes.

The debris starts falling.

Kara unwraps her arm and grabs her tightly, turning away from the debris.

Seka gets shocked, figuring out what just happened. Her face gets really red as he holds her tighter.

The black figure enters the museum and escapes.

Kara, barely conscious, almost falls down.

"Are you all right?" asks Kara.

"Yeah, but what about you?" Her hand—she puts it on his face.

"What is happening lately in the city? Something is not right," Kara thinks to himself as he gets unconscious.

"Sera!" Kara wakes up in shock as he reaches out his hands, with no meaning to his words.

, Seka looks at him as a drop of tear falls from her cheek as emotion starts to build up.

"Where am I?" Kara asks.

"The hospital." She starts wiping away her tears, but her heart doesn't feel right with the name she just heard.

"Hey, you all right? I think you're thinking too much... stuff." She looks at him.

"Why should I really do this? Why?" she thinks as the tears roll out.

"Hey, why don't you join the tournament? With focusing on fighting, you will be focused and get stronger," Kara looks at Seka.

"I mean, I can't make it in time, but hope you will be able to do something."

She keeps weeping.

Kara looks at her and says, "Look, it's just my idea, and I don't know if it will work for you, so don't push it, okay? Think first."

Seka ignores what he just said and asks, "If I may ask you... what's your story? I mean, you do have parents, right?"

Kara looks at her, smiles a little. "Well, about that, you see... I was actually from the Magic Kingdom, but I had a fight with my father and I ran away from home."

Seka looks at him. Her tears stop, face changes to almost sad.

"Must have been really rough for you?" Seka says.

"Yeah, not much. Compared to your story, I am still very lucky. I mean, it's just been about a couple years for me," Kara says.

"I am free and can do what I like, but still, something I am looking for is just out of my reach and still searching for it," he says.

"Hmm, looks like you're troubled as well. Well, your story wasn't that kind of interesting, but still, I hope you find that thing." She gives a fake smile.

"Must be this Sera you talked about," she talks to herself.

"Wait... is he... maybe—maybe I do hope so. I don't know what I should do?" She thinks to herself and stares at the wall.

"I am feeling a little better. So shall we go then?" Kara says.

"Huh? Yeah, the doctor did say you're just exhausted." She tries giving a smile and looks down.

Kara looks at her with a concerned look.
