"Magic String Puppet." Hachi starts to cast her spell.
Swish!
Strings come out of her doll. All the strings target every enemy in the room. They connect.
"I was expecting more from all of you. Now all of you—time to d—"
Bugrrr!
One of the strings starts to burn!!
"Ouch!" she screams. Other strings connected to the doll start to snap one by one.
"Hachi, how many of them are there?" Kara observes them, asking Hachi.
"There are exactly 15 of them in the room, But they said 1000 years—these people don't look like a thousand years old at all," Hachi replies.
Kara looks around them, figuring out their plan. Then something clicks in his mind.
"Magic Mist Forest!" Kara casts a spell. The whole area starts to fill with mist. He disappears in the fog.
"Aw come on, both of you players think you're so strong. You're using these simple tricks—I don't like them." A voice echoes through the temple.Someone starts to speak. A priest emerges out of nowhere with a spirit staff, in a similar black robe, but with a purple, ominous cloak. His face is not clear at all.
He strikes the ground with the bottom of his staff. The whole area clears of fog in an instant as it resonates through the temple.
Kara and Hachi are shocked. Kara starts to think, "Something just doesn't seem right... it just feels like a tra—"
"Okay then, Crystal Gate 2, open!" Hachi starts to break her crystal.
"No, wait—" Kara shouts.
"It's too late," the priest says.
The priest's wand brings out a black thread that connects directly to Hachi's chest.
"What?! my magic, it just disapeared!" Hachi gets down on her knees. The pressure from the thread around her crystal holds her from using magic at all.
"Hachi" Kara screams, "I cant even use my crystals here."
Bam! Kara dashes toward the priest. The priest dodges.
"Aw, nice try. sorry, but you can't!"The priest starts to float to the top of the long room with no floors.
"Now shall we have a little fun?" he says. "Go my friends." a magic circle start appearing in front.
All the robed men start attacking. Kara looks at Hachi.
"Don't worry, brother. I can handle these insects."She lifts her skirt a little, exposing a knife on her thigh. She takes it out.
"Smmmm." She takes a deep breath.
"Focus." She starts to see everything darker. She looks at the enemy.
One of the enemy men comes running towards her. She jumps and strikes the knife into his head in an instant.
"Don't you underestimate me! I am not A-rank for no reason, alright?"
"Don't worry me like that", Kara says as he looks at Hachi, a guy comes rushing toward him but upon impact, he just fades away—reappearing behind the guy.
The guy notices and tries to get a hit. Kara simply dodges and gives him a smack in the face, launching him across the room.
Others start to come toward him. As they come running, he starts approaching them slowly.
Tak tak tak. He walks past them as they all strike at him with blades. which just passes through his body.
He walks past them.
"Magic Mist Resonate."All the enemies he got past get frozen in place.
Hachi jumps and kicks a guy approaching her. She sends him flying. He gets into position mid-air, as he breaks his fall right before the guys Kara just froze.
The guy looks up—
Swishhhh. A dagger is right before his eyes, about to pierce.
Chyak! It stabs him, making him crash into the frozen bodies behind him.
"Five of them left," Hachi looks at the priest, She throws her dagger at him, but before it reaches, it just stops and explodes.
"Yeah, right—now my blade is gone too," she adds.
The other five start to attack them.
"It's just pissing me off!, brother hold them for a bit"She closes her eyes. She focuses on her magic—there is a seal. She starts to get rid of the curse. Kara guards her.
The first guy comes for a punch. He dodges, grabs him, and throws him into another one.
"Two down, why are the enemy's strength so inconsistent its really hard to read them like this." he says.
Another one runs toward him, dodging the two he just knocked out. He starts to cast a spell. His hands turn into dark flames. He punches from a distance, forming a giant fist of dark flames.
"That's how it is, huh? Magic Mist Condense."
Snap!
He snaps his fingers. The black fist disappears right before it hits him.
The two guys he knocked stand up. Both of them start to cast—one casts compressed air, one forms water around his hand.
"Take this, you piece of shit!"The fifth guy starts dropping in. His hands are filled with lightning.
Khyak! All of them stop where they are. Their heads fall as something black starts pouring out instead of blood.
"not much of a problem when I am around right.", Hachi steps in.
"Ew. So yeah, there—you got your answer, These were just vessels." Kara says.
"Brother, the defense—I already got rid of it." Hachi Turns to Kara.
Boom!
Kara jumps instantly. The priest continues to cast his spell.
Hachi looks at Kara with a terrified expression on her face. "no he is too late."
The temple starts to rumble, and the whole place lights up in a bright purplish-red color.
"If only the generals were so good in this country. They're not here even when we need them," Kara starts to think.
The preist notices Kara so he casts another spell "Summon ancient curse, curse of depth"
Black shadow-like figures start appearing beside Hachi.
Kara notices it."This is taking too long, Hachi get ready!!" Kara screams as he is going up.
She hears him, "Magic String Dollhouse", string starts to cover her and makes a place covering her.
Kara starts chanting inside his mind "Magic Mist Area Mist of the Mountain "the temperature inside the temple drops instantly as everything starts to freeze with a slight mist filling up the place that slowly drops to the ground.
it freezes all the new curses. Hachi gets out punches all of them while they're vulnerable.
Kara rushes toward the priest, charging a punch with little sparks coming out of it.
"Hey!" he shouts.
Seka looks at her opponent. She can see her opponent glow—and glowing more brightly than before.
She feels confused about what is going on. Her opponent keeps staring at her with the same eyes with a tiny pupil. As she looks closer, she feels as if a beast is standing behind her opponent.
She steps back a little.
"Awh, don't tell me you're scared, are you?" Garry starts to mock her.
She jumps toward him. They clash with each other. Seka is thrown off onto the ground. She barely stands up and looks at her opponent.
Garry approaches her, running. Seka changes her stance and dodges his attack.
"I can see everything clearly again. "She jumps and pulls out her sword—
Cling! Clang!—it turns into a dagger.
Bang! The enemy activates his gauntlet while he runs.
"This match is going crazy, everybody! I don't think Ms. Seka will win this battle," says the announcer.
Seka sees her enemy really clearly—where he is, and his movements slowly.
Seka tries to dodge but gets scared by the sheer force of him coming her way.
"Yeah, I may have got something new to help me fight, but it's purely offensive. I cannot run faster with this. I need to think—or the impact will break me."She looks here and there, looking for something to help her stop.
Seka starts running around the arena. The guy stops, slams the ground—pillars start forming from the ground.
Seka dodges as the pillars shoot up.
Seka brings out her fist. The weapon with her changes its shape. She runs up behind the guy.
"Too slow. Magic Ice Spikey Gate."
She manages to cast a spell.
A giant door-like structure forms with lots of spikes. He slams the door, smashing it into pieces.
"Yup, right there," she smirks. She jumps in the air.
Swish!
She pulls out the dagger—it changes its shape into a bow. She pulls it, and an arrow forms with a very frosty tip.
Phack!
She shoots it. Garry's hand gets stuck in the ground. He still struggles as he tries to pull it out.
Seka's arrow hits the ground near his hand—near the gauntlet.
"You missed," Garry says.
His hands start freezing, locking him in place. Seka lands safely.
The weapon in her hand changes into a sword. She takes a stance. She takes a heavy breath in.
"Focus." She stands there as her blade starts to glow with magic.
Garry smiles.
"Magic Earth Clenching Fist!"
