Synopsis
Two hundred years ago, a star brighter than the sun appeared in the night sky. They called it The Roots of Existence. Its light didn’t just change humanity—it rewrote it. Some gained godlike power. Some lost what made them human. And Earth itself became a graveyard of forgotten dreams. Lux Aeterna, a girl who only wished for a quiet life, awoke centuries later in a world she could barely recognize—a world ruled by fear of those like her: the god-humans. Haunted by a power she doesn’t understand and memories of a family long turned to dust, she finds herself caught in a web of betrayal, survival, and destiny. Betrayed by those who pretended to protect her. Feared as a destroyer. And in the end… she became what they feared most. But this isn’t just her story. From the ashes of Earth, a seed was planted—a being born from her own soul. A child left alone in the void, forced to choose between humanity and power. In a world where weakness makes you human and power turns you into something else… Can anyone truly remain themselves?

Chapter 1 - The New Star

The beginning of everything remains unknown to every living being.

When and why? Questions that linger without answer. How do we live? How can life even exist? Was there truly a creator?

No one has ever solved this mystery.

Far away, in a world abandoned by humans, everything changed when people attained a power so great it rivaled the gods.

Among them was Lux Aeterna, a girl whose only wish was to live in peace.

But that simple wish was forever out of reach—a dream that could never come true.

It all began the night humanity discovered a strange, blinding star in the sky—a star they named The Roots of Existence.

"What the f*** is that?" someone shouted, shielding his eyes from its dazzling light.

[A dazzling star has appeared in our night sky!] reporters declared, their voices crackling over radios and screens.

The star's brilliance turned night into morning.

Inside a quiet room, footsteps crept cautiously. A girl, breath held, moved past locked doors and surveillance cameras.

"Just one minute… let me see it," she whispered to herself.

I am Lux Aeterna, daughter of the Emperor of Fourthenent—the fourth continent of the world.

Father is always busy, always promising to come home in letters he never keeps. I stopped reading them long ago. His words mean nothing now.

This wasn't my first time sneaking out. Despite guards and cameras everywhere, I learned how to hack the systems, how to move unseen.

I wasn't some pampered, useless noble girl.

But tonight… tonight would become the turning point of my life.

My greatest mistake.
