Chapter 4 - Chapter 3:" The Arsenal of the Damned"

Chrono Genesis – Blood Layer 00: Core of the Broken Throne

Jin lay on the ground, his body twitching from the aftershock. Every breath burned, but he was alive.

More importantly—he had won.

He didn't know how. He didn't know what he'd just unlocked. But it wasn't normal. It wasn't anything the game's forums or guidebooks had ever described.

> System Message: Blood Arsenal Terminal Activated.

Analyzing combat instinct... Personality alignment syncing…

Blood Signature: [Adaptive – Berserker Instinct / Mutative Potential: High]

Initializing Arsenal.

The room shifted.

The fractured floor pulled apart and reassembled, stone by stone, forming a long corridor lined with weapons — but not ordinary weapons.

Each one looked alive.

A blade that breathed smoke.

A gauntlet pulsing with veins of black fire.

A pair of throwing knives that whispered in a forgotten tongue.

And then — in the center — a mirror.

No reflection. Just darkness.

> "Choose your first Weapon of Blood."

---

Jin stepped forward. His hand hovered over a blood-red spear, then a jagged axe… but the moment he touched the mirror, a flood of memories hit him.

Not his.

His brother's.

> "The code... it learns from your rage. From your fear. Every battle, every death—it remembers."

"The Blood Arsenal doesn't follow the system. You shape it. Or it shapes you."

The mirror pulsed.

From it formed a weapon — not forged, but grown — from his own instincts.

A crimson-bladed chain sword, wrapped like a serpent around his arm.

> You have unlocked: [Bloodbound Weapon – Chain Fang Lv.1]

Attribute: Rage Adaptation / Blood Memory Sync: 3%

Warning: Overuse may induce Berserker State.

Jin gripped the weapon, and for the first time in years… he smiled.

> "Let them come."

Meanwhile – Real World, Chrono Genesis Developer HQ

"Sir," a technician called out, staring at three flashing red screens. "We've got a breach."

The lead developer, Director Xu, turned slowly. His face went pale.

> "What kind of breach?"

"Player ID: Jin_047 just triggered Version 0.01."

Silence.

"Impossible," Xu whispered. "That version was buried. Firewalled. Burned out. No one's touched it since—"

A fourth screen lit up.

It showed footage of Jin's battle against the corrupted avatar of Wei Liang.

The developers recognized him instantly.

> "Sir, that's Wei Liang's old character model…"

Xu's expression darkened. "Then the rumors are true. He never logged out."

He turned to his assistant.

> "Issue a Class-S Bounty. Mark him a virus. If a player kills him in Blood Mode, we'll wipe it all."

> "Yes sir."

Back in the Blood Layer

Jin stared at his new weapon. His breath steady. His grip tight.

The ground beneath him opened into a downward staircase — carved into living flesh and stone.

A new path. A deeper level.

> You are now being hunted.

Jin didn't flinch.

He took the first step into the darkness.

> "Come find me, then."
