The sky was clear, birds chirps happily in the trees, Hayan was bustling with chatter, a blacksmith hammering sound with metal, vendors, but a shadow passed by the markets but no one give it that much attention except....children because the shadow that passed was non–other than Free now 14 years old. He pierce through the sky with his Skyboard, he flew all around the Village looking for any trouble.
"Nothing much" he said, and he fly through trees, his C-rank badge shine in his chest as the sun touch it, he flew to the village playground and landed there. "No trouble today too" he muttered.
Many childrens ran toward him with a joyful smile on their faces. "Brother Free can i ride it too!!" a boy asked, his eyes sparkled at the sight of the Skyboard.
"No, me first!!" another boy shouted, they started to argue to ride the board.
"Okay line up everyone" Free calmly said, and everyone starts to line up and in the front was a little girl, barely 5 she extended her hand and Free took it with a smile. He strapped the skyboard and hopped the girl in his back, then. Wooosh!. He launch himself into the sky with the little girl in his back. She laugh at the whole sight of the village in her eyes.
"Thank you, brother Free!!" she yelled into the sky and Free smiled and he raise the speed. "Weeeeee...faster!" Free then add more mana and.Booom!. The skyboard starts to flew faster.
2 minutes later....
Free landed with the girl, her hair was messy but he joyful smile never faded she came down and goes back to her friends. "I saw the whole Village and also the lake too!!" she shouted, Free just smiled at her, then other kids starts to came too and Free starts to give each one a ride.
A boy laugh as the whole village was in his sight he look toward the lake and Free increase the speed of the skyboard, the boy's hair starts to flew backward the boy's laugh was joyful and careless, Free look at him 'it's really good to be a kid' he though, the memory of his pastlive flashed, he didn't have any childhood which he can say was joyful all were just learning and education for him.
At the afternoon Free landed with the last kid that was there, they all left for lunch Free was left alone, then Sylvia arrived, she was now taller and more mature, Free cheeks turn slightly pink, he quickly look away.
"What happen?" Sylvia asked, she look at him and Free just shook his head.
"Nothing" He said, he turn to her hesitating for a bit. "Let's go back" he said, giving her a little smile.
Sylvia nodded, they started to walk together with an awkward silence, Sylvia steal glances atFree and Free steal glances at her. "H-how is your job as a new C adventurer?" Sylvia finaly broke the awkward silence and Free close his eyes for a moment deep in thought, then he opens it.
"Quite good. I get atleast two silver coin a day and one gold coin and four silver a week" he said, looking at the sky his left hand holding the skyboard. "And you?" He asked, glancing toward Sylvia.
"Dad's crops are growing very quickly and better too. This year might be more profitable" She said,chuckling looking at the path ahead. "How's your training with your dad"
"I have learn many technique with swordsmanship, but still i haven't learn how to use adrenaline burst" he said, exhaling, as if tired.
"Good for you. I haven't learn much" Sylvia walked ahead and Free keep his pace, she look at a flower vendor offering her some flowers. "hey...can i borrow your spell book?" Hse asked.
"huh? Sure. I don't really use it that much now" Free said, he turn toward her staring at Sylvia as she took the white bloom the vendor offered.
"Thanks" she wave at the vendor and turn back her attention to Free. "you have learn almost all spells from the book.....right" Free nodded.
"I just don't have the mana to use the highest–class spells" he said, looking at his left hand, then at his right hand, it glow yellow with raw mana. "I sometimes think there is more mana inside me" Free said, Sylvia almost tripped by, she look at Free then at his chest.
"I-i don't really think...so" Free turn to her and Sylvia panicks. "I mean! If you have more mana wouldn't other notice it too!" she said, trying to clear the misunderstanding.
"You're right" Free muttered , he reach home and Hinata was giving water to the flowers. Elina was cleaning leaves that fall from the Root tree she then wave her hand toward Free and Hinata was not giving him much attention she was busy in her own watering flowers job. "you.....want to have lunch together" Free asked, he glance at Sylvia and Sylvia was not.....okay, she was red. She look toward Hinata and Elina who were not looking toward her but were grinning.
"Oh Free you're back" Hina came, holding a ladle kn hand she then look at Sylvia who was red and she flashed a little grin. "everyone. Lunch is ready and Free please bring Sykvia too~" She teased and Sylvia face became red like a tomato.
"Yes...." Free turns to Sylvia, she wasn't respondinh, he wave his hand. Nothing. Free gave her a gentle tap on her cheeks and Sylvia jolt back as if her soul enters her body again. "let's go" Free said.
"Y-yes!" Sylvia quickly went inside the house. 'it feels like i am a part of the family!!' she thought to herself. Looking at the dining table, Hina and others were already seated even Philip was in time.
Free took his seat beside Hinata and Sylvia. "Let's eat" he said, everyone starts to eat until hina look up from her bread.
"Sylvia don't you have someone you like" Free suddenly spat his bread in Philip's face, who was eating two bread.
"MOM!" Free stand up from his seat.
"Ohh please are you jealous" she wave it off, teasing Free.
"N-no i not!. It's just that it's not appropriate to ask someone's personal life like that" Free shouted, Sylvia was silent the bread in her hand break into two ajd Sylvia looking like she would faint any second.
"It's just that i heard almost every boy talking about her in the village" Hina covered her mouth as she laugh, Free just look at the others no ome was talking just eating and Philip was wiping his face.
"It's! Not that i likeanyone oranything! It's ju-just that..." she fainted. And Hina and the other just laugh while Free was supporting Sylvia.
Just then. "HEY PHILIP!!!" a deep and loud voice called out from outside the hoise and Philip quickly stand up.
"Don't tell me!" he ran outside. And the others went outside except Free, he was still supporting Sylvia to sit.
