After everyone received the money from Marin,Sylvia becoming the financial manager of the village, Free was given something as a gift from Marin, as a gesture for their contract on village harvests. Free didn't pay it much attention, he just returns home and throw himself on the bed.
His eyes open, the sun was long gone the twin moon shine through the window. Free got up and stretchs, he stands and went downstair into the dining table and sat there quietly, lighting his cigarette.
"Lord Free, how was your day?" Lina ask, entering with a tray of food, while Elina followed behind with cups and tea pot.
"Tiresome..." Free sighs, Hinata and Hina enter the dining room, Hinata jumps into her chair and starts gulping the soup, Hina too was eating her soup and dried meat faster competing with Hinata. "I need a break..." Free said, giving another tired sighs. They didn't pay attention so did Free, he quietly eat his food and start to leave while Hinata and Hina were still eating the soup like they hadn't eaten in ten years
"Ahh, lord Free. Merchant Marin had given you something in a sack, it's in the kitchen. He said don't let it touch water" Lina said, calmly eating her food, while Elina was munchin on a dried meat continously.
Free gave a look and went into the kitchen. There in a grey sack was something filled, Free opens it and he gets a little surprised as inside it was a finely milled flour, high in quality and expensive. 'Flour?! A high quality one too!?!' Free thought, he closed the sacks top, and thought for a moment on what to do with it. ' What should i do with it? Making breads? A waste. Cake? no ingredients. Ramen.....Ramen!' Free thought, he quickly take a cup of flour and starts making something.
In the dining table everyone were still eating when Elina nose twitched, something was smelling good from the kitchen. "Mom? Is not there something smelling good?" she ask, Lina too nodded with acknowledgement.
"Yes it is, lord Free is cooking something with the bag of soft flour in the kitchen" she said, Hina and Hinata stop chewing on a dried meat. Their head turn to the kitchen.
"Is papa cooking something good?" Hina ask, Hinata mouth start to drool.
"Yes he is" She said, slowly both walk out of the dining room and peek into the kitchen, inside Free was cooking something, his sleeves were folded to his elbow, buttons slightly loose.
"Ohh.....Mom, Hinata, you wanna eat something good" Free said, both nodded and Free gave a pat to Hinata's head. "Then wait for a bit" Free said, walking out from the kitchen.
"Pat me too!! Papa!!!" Hina yelled running toward Free.
10 minutes later.... Free hair was messy, his blue adventurer coat slightly torn in corner. Lina served the ramen in the tabke while Elina put the soy sauce(somehow able to make it from dark stink– A spider soecies usually found around white blooms, edible but stinks to eat), everyone sat down on the table and picked up their spoon. Hinata and Hina take a sip and their eyes lit up with sparkles.
"SO TASTY!!" both screamed out in joy, they try to eat it quickly but the ramen was still hot so they had to blow it slowly to get cold.
Lina too was impressed with the ramen "I never thought of something like this, and this dark stink's soup makes it even better" she calmly said, taking a sip. Free glance at Elina and she was already halfway to finishing her bowl, Free gave a faint smile and starts to take a bite from his own with his chopsticks.
"Papa, what is this you're using?" Hina asked eyeing the chopsticks kn Free's hand.
"This are call chopsticks, they are used to eat ramen" Free said, taking a sip using his spoon.
"i wanna use! i wanna use!" Hina shouted snatching the chopsticks from Free's hand.
"H-Hey" Free said, but Hina was already trying to use the chopsticks, she couldn't grab it the good way and it drops into the ramen.
Hina gave a sobbed, once, twice. "I'll use my spoon" she said, taking a spoon.
"Look like using a stick to eat is harder than fighting" Elina said, everyone starts laughing and Free too allowed himself a faint chuckle.
The next day, the sun was rising. Free and Hinata were training not magic but swordsmanship. Free swings his wooden sword with wights in it's tip, while Hinata was swinging her sword at thousand times already. Both were drenched in sweat but they didn't stop, Elina and Lina stared through the window while Hina was still deep asleep in her room.
As the sun fully rises, Free ate his breakfast and went to his room again working and signing documents as always. The day was normal, after hours of working the paperwork finally ended, it was now less. A sign of nobles giving up on the land.
"Lord Free" Lina said, gently knocking on the door twice.
"Enter" Free said, Lina enters with a cup of tea, inside Free was smoking as always.
"You're done?" she said, a little surprised and relief. "Look like the nobles are finally retreating" she said, with a smile and Free gave a nod. He takes the tea and sips it. "Also do you know why Sylvia didn't visit today?" she ask.
"She is learning from Aunt Rael on handling the finance of the village" Free calmly said, taking another sip. While in Sylvia's side she sneezed and look outside.
"Hmm?" she look outside exoecting something but Rael quickly snap her back by giving her a pile of paperwork to correct.
"Do it dear or Free will have to do it alone" Raek said, with a dark smile.
"You're free for the whole day now so what do you think to do now" Lina ask, glancing at the skyboard in a corner, it was now dusty as Free hasn't used much.
"I don't know?" Free said, leaning in his chair. He thought for a moment. " Why don't we open a ramen stall" Free said out loud.
"I'm not their maid" Lina pointed with an annoyed face, Free quickly realized what he's done.
"Wait! I'm not asking you, i'm thinking of asking Marin about it" he quickly clears the misunderstanding.
"Okay, but don't drag me on serving other peoples" Lina said, leaving the room and Free took a breath of relief.
