INT. NOVA BASE – NIGHT
The base was quiet, most of the rangers asleep in their bunks. But Daiki moved silently through the halls, a backpack slung over his shoulder, his prototype Shard Resonance Amplifier strapped to his side.
His steps were quick, urgent — every beat of his heart screamed one thing: I have to face her.
EXT. NOVA BASE – OUTER HANGAR
Daiki tapped a sequence into the console. The Nova Skip Teleporter began to hum, its rings glowing faintly. He was almost through when—
KAEL(voice sharp)—And where do you think you're going?
Daiki froze. Out of the shadows stepped Kael, Rayna, and Zayn, arms crossed. Moments later, Lyra's med-bed hologram pinged softly from Zevor's projection, as if even she was silently watching.
Then Jett strolled in from the side, twirling a candy stick.
ZAYNYou weren't exactly subtle, Daiki. The sensors picked up your tinkering.
RAYNA(angry, but also scared)Were you really planning to just sneak out and fight the Dark Sentinel alone?
DAIKI(defiant)She's our mother! Mine and Nee-chan's! If I don't try, then who will?
KAEL(snapping back)We will. As a team. That's what you don't get yet.
DAIKIIf I go and fail, it's just me. But if all of you go—if Nee-chan wakes up and finds out you let me sit back—she'll never forgive any of you.
The words hit them like a blade. A silence hung heavy.
JETT(scratching his head, breaking the tension)Man, I hate family drama. So… sorry, kid.
Before Daiki could react, Jett's fist blurred forward, striking the back of his neck with surgical precision.
THWACK!
Daiki collapsed, unconscious.
DAIKI'S BAG FALLS — THE RESONANCE AMPLIFIER CLATTERS TO THE FLOOR.
The others froze, staring.
RAYNA(deadpan, eyes narrowing at Jett)…Did you just knock him out?
JETT(shrugging innocently)What? Don't look at me like that. He was about to do something stupid. Now he can't. You should be thanking me.
KAEL(stepping closer, eyes burning)…Or maybe we should knock you out next.
The team circled Jett, their frustration boiling. Jett put up his hands, grinning nervously.
JETTWhoa, hey—violence is my department, not yours!
ZEVOR(interjecting, calm but firm)Enough. The boy's intentions, though reckless, are not misplaced. But his strength is not ready to match hers. You must decide, Sentinels — will you lock him away from battle, or prepare him for the inevitable?
The team stood in silence, the weight of the decision pressing down. Jett looked at the unconscious Daiki, then at Kael, Rayna, and Zayn.
JETT(softer, more serious now)…If Lyra wakes up and finds him missing, she'll blame all of us. He deserves a chance. But maybe… not alone.
The rangers exchanged heavy looks — torn between fear, duty, and family.
