Kael didn't say anything at first. He simply looked at Riley, studying him the way one might examine a rare creature that had just confessed something outrageous.
Then, with a slow movement, he lifted a finger and pointed toward his cheek.
"This one," he said calmly, "was during that meeting. In front of everyone."
Riley blinked. "What?"
Kael's hand moved again, this time to his lips. "Then here. When you jumped at me and kissed me… only to break skin."
The human's face heated up. "Wait! You asked for that one, and I even got permission!"
"My body—" Kael began, but stopped when he saw that the twig's expression had turned scandalized.
"What body?!" Riley blurted out, already certain he had no idea what was coming next.
The golden lizard continued as if he hadn't heard him. "There was that instance… when you had to be brought into the bath and wouldn't stop pressing against my body."
"That was medical! A medical emergency!"
