"My worldview has been shattered," Kotetsu Isane whispered in awe.

Unohana Retsu gave her a strange look but said nothing.

Kyōraku Callum's flower arrangement won first place. Whether there was any foul play was unknown, but the Fourth Division knew the Captain held veto and affirmative powers in the contest.

Back in the Fourth Division, life returned to normal for Kyōraku Callum. Everything seemed the same.

However, lying on a lounge chair in the sun, Kyōraku Callum knew the world's gears had begun to turn.

With the Hollow disturbances suppressed, their numbers drastically reduced, and the Research and Development Institute's new spiritual pressure detectors deployed, the World of the Living seemed to have returned to its previous state. Shinigami stationed there were gradually recalled to the Seireitei, leaving only the Thirteenth Division.

A month later, Shiba Kaien had to return to the Thirteenth Division to act as Captain due to Jūshirō Ukitake's condition.

However, problems arose with the Shinigami's return. The Fifth Division's Vice-Captain seemed to have gone missing.

Fifth Division Barracks.

Aizen Sousuke, calm and composed, his hands clasped in front of him, his large captain's haori draped over him.

"Gin, have you investigated?" he asked, his voice devoid of emotion.

A figure in a black robe materialized in the room. Under the black hood, short lavender hair fell naturally, and slender eyes, faintly gleaming blue, were slightly narrowed.

"Aizen-sama, the investigation is complete. Everything is as you predicted."

Aizen smiled, walking to the window, gazing at the Seireitei sky. "Indeed, a slight problem has arisen. But it doesn't matter; the plan will proceed as scheduled. Gin, you may return."

Ichimaru Gin's demeanor was unusually subdued. "Yes, Aizen-sama." He vanished in a flash of electricity.

Aizen continued to gaze at the sky. "The Seireitei sky remains as uninteresting as ever."

.....

Time flew. Two months had passed since Kyōraku Callum's return to the Seireitei. Urahara Kisuke handled the World of the Living situation. Kyōraku Callum trusted him implicitly after their years of working together.

One day, he was preparing for his usual patrol of the General Medical Facility. As a Vice-Captain, he couldn't be idle. This was his way of finding work, definitely not because Shiba Kūkaku was there.

As he stepped out of his room, he saw Hanataro Yamada approaching.

"Callum-sama!" Hanataro Yamada had recently returned from the World of the Living. His Sixth and Seventh Medical Squads had successfully suppressed Hollow disturbances in multiple cities with only one casualty.

Kyōraku Callum raised an eyebrow, noticing the envelope in Hanataro Yamada's hand.

"A letter from the Twelfth Division!" Hanataro Yamada said excitedly.

Kyōraku Callum took the letter, noticing various Kidō incantations and seals from the Research and Development Institute.

"Identify spiritual pressure, automatically destroy…" He smirked. "Kurotsuchi Mayuri actually had the time to do this instead of contacting me directly with Denreishinki. He just wants to show off his invention."

He infused the envelope with spiritual pressure, and it opened, revealing a white paper.

"Report to the Twelfth Division immediately?!" Kyōraku Callum frowned. "What does he want now?"

"I'll take over your patrol of the General Medical Facility, Hanataro Yamada!" He delegated the task.

"Yes, Callum-sama!"

Kyōraku Callum then vanished using Shunpo. He took Kurotsuchi Mayuri's summons seriously; the man never joked about such matters.

Second Division, Research and Development Institute.

Kurotsuchi Mayuri stared at the screen, a sinister smile on his face.

"Callum-kun," he said, "Karakura Town, the city under your jurisdiction, has a problem again!"

As he spoke, Kyōraku Callum appeared near the sensor. The Karakura Town area on the screen had turned red, and the alarm was smashed—clearly Kurotsuchi Mayuri's handiwork.

"You called me here for this?" Kyōraku Callum asked disdainfully. The plan was proceeding as expected.

Kurotsuchi Mayuri looked surprised, tapping the console frantically. "Callum-kun, the alarm indicates a large Hollow, at least Gillian-level, in Karakura Town!"

Kyōraku Callum spread his hands. "So? Do you want me to go to the World of the Living to deal with a Gillian? Isn't that the Thirteenth Division's job? I'm no longer responsible for the World of the Living." His tone was dismissive.

"You should contact Vice-Captain Shiba Kaien first."

Kurotsuchi Mayuri's expression twisted. This didn't seem to be a threat to Kyōraku Callum.
