Chapter 130 - BUTZ: Chapter 130

Just as he was about to speak again, the red area on the spiritual pressure sensor screen suddenly turned white.

"What's going on now?" Kurotsuchi Mayuri's extraordinary perception sensed something unusual.

A Shinigami working at the console spoke rapidly. "The Hollow's spiritual pressure in Karakura Town has disappeared! It seems to have been eliminated by a Shinigami! But all the Vice-Captains have been recalled; there aren't even any seated officers left in the World of the Living."

Kurotsuchi Mayuri realized something was wrong.

Kyōraku Callum smirked, remaining silent. The Hollow's appearance wasn't accidental, nor was it dealt with by Urahara and his associates. This was clearly the work of Kurosaki Ichigo and Ishida Uryū!

Ishida Uryū's personality hasn't changed much, Kyōraku Callum thought.

"Jie Jie!" A strange laugh escaped Kurotsuchi Mayuri's lips, his golden teeth oddly comical. "I think we should investigate this thoroughly."

Kyōraku Callum shrugged indifferently. "Suit yourself. But remember, I'm only a Vice-Captain of the Fourth Division; this isn't my concern. You can contact Shiba Kaien or report it to the Captain-Commander."

He paused, adding, "By the way, that research report was excellent. I look forward to our next collaboration!"

With that, Kyōraku Callum vanished.

Kurotsuchi Mayuri gritted his teeth, his expression turning increasingly frantic. "What an annoying fellow!"

He clearly had no idea how unpopular he was in the Seireitei.

The Research and Development Institute began investigating the matter.

That night, the moonlight was obscured by dark clouds; a cold wind howled, carrying a chill in the air.

Seireitei inner court patrol Shinigami stood guard impassively.

A figure in a black cloak approached them.

However, the Shinigami seemed to ignore the figure, passing each other without incident.

Under the cloak, Aizen Sousuke walked freely through the inner court, disregarding the rules.

His destination: the Seireitei's central underground council chamber, where forty Seireitei elders and six judges were gathered.

The barriers and Kidō traps before the chamber were meaningless to Aizen. He passed through them effortlessly and entered the chamber.

Aizen looked at the Central Forty-Six, their expressions arrogant, and a slight smile touched his lips. He raised his hand, slowly removing his hood and dispelling the Bakudō #26, Kyokkō.

Seeing the cloaked figure, the Central Forty-Six realized something was wrong.

"Who are you? Why are you trespassing in the underground council chamber?"

"Fifth Division Captain, Aizen Sousuke!"

"You disregard the rules! Do you wish to face our judgment? The Muken is where such as you belong!"

Though slightly panicked, the Central Forty-Six didn't seem to take Aizen seriously.

They considered themselves the Seireitei's authority, controlling everything.

However, they soon realized something was amiss. Why hadn't any guards arrived after their prolonged shouts?

The temperature in the chamber plummeted. The Central Forty-Six, accustomed to their high positions, were slow to react.

In their long careers, they'd enjoyed the pleasures of power, oblivious to the brutal realities of the world.

"Aizen, leave this chamber before we unleash our wrath!" a judge shouted from above. "Otherwise, you will face an eternity in Muken!"

Aizen tilted his head and smiled slightly. "The last buzzing of insects is quite noisy!"

His blade flashed, reflecting the fear on the faces of the elders and judges.

Splash! Blood sprayed, staining a nearby judge.

The warm sensation finally brought the reality of their situation to the Central Forty-Six.

"Guards! Guards! You killed Judge Sankawa?! Aizen, are you rebelling?!

Are all the guards dead? Why aren't they protecting us?!"

Screams filled the chamber. The elders and judges trembled, facing death.

Their world seemed to crumble.

These high and mighty beings finally understood fear. Death was not distant.

Aizen slowly drew his Zanpakutō.

The elders and judges' faces contorted in terror. They tried to use weak Kidō to stop him, but the vast difference in power rendered their efforts useless.

Kyōka Suigetsu reflected their terrified expressions. Aizen spoke calmly.

"Explaining things to insects is a waste of breath. Especially insects whose minds have rotted."

Aizen raised his arm, Kyōka Suigetsu's blade reflecting the cold light.

The chamber erupted in noise—curses, screams, pleas.

Kyōka Suigetsu descended, silencing everything. The chamber fell silent once more.

Tap, tap. Steady footsteps echoed. Aizen reached the doorway, surveying his handiwork, a smile returning to his face.

"A quiet underground council chamber is a much more pleasing sight."

Meanwhile, in the Fourth Division barracks.

Kyōraku Callum sat cross-legged, his Zanpakutō across his knees, having finished his training. As he stood, a frantic knocking came from outside.

"Callum!"

Recognizing Shiba Kaien's voice, Kyōraku Callum opened the door to see a worried face.

"Karakura Town has a problem!" Shiba Kaien said urgently, clearly having Shunpoed at top speed.

Kyōraku Callum frowned. "What's wrong with Karakura Town?"
