Chapter 134 - BUTZ: Chapter 134

Taken completely by surprise, Kurosaki Ichigo followed Ishida Uryū's lead and collapsed.

His pupils constricted; a deep-seated fear quietly began to grow within him.

Kurosaki Ichigo gripped his sword hilt tightly, the blade sinking into the ground with a grating sound.

He attempted to use his own strength to stand, his spiritual pressure rising steadily around him.

However, for every increase in his spiritual pressure, Callum's spiritual pressure increased proportionally.

After several minutes, Kurosaki Ichigo despaired.

This Shinigami's spiritual pressure was like a bottomless abyss, unending!

"Is… is this… the true power of a Vice-Captain?"

Kurosaki Ichigo managed to croak out, blood welling up from his bitten lip, his knuckles bleeding from the exertion.

"Me?" Callum asked, a hint of surprise in his voice.

"When did you get that impression? If all Vice-Captains were like me, the entire world would be at peace."

Hearing this, Kurosaki Ichigo's lips curled into a grim, almost painful smile.

"So it seems I still have a chance!"

As the words left his mouth, Callum suddenly saw a surge of spiritual pressure erupt from Kurosaki Ichigo, a power no less potent than that of a Captain-level Shinigami.

In an instant, it broke through Callum's oppressive spiritual pressure. A black figure sprang from the ground, its blade flashing in the moonlight, aimed directly at Callum.

"So, you still haven't realized the difference in our strength?" Callum said, extending his index and middle fingers.

"A little lesson is in order."

Swish! Callum's figure flickered.

Maintaining his sword-finger stance, he slowly withdrew his hand.

Kurosaki Ichigo, suspended in mid-air, froze, feeling intense pain emanating from his very soul!

Weakness overwhelmed him; his strength vanished instantly!

Bang! Kurosaki Ichigo plummeted to the ground, his Zanpakutō failing to even reach within three meters of Callum.

Callum walked calmly to his side, his expression devoid of emotion.

"I have severed your [Chain of Fate] and [Soul Sleep]. The Shinigami powers you stole have been completely reclaimed. Even if you recover, you'll likely never be a Shinigami again."

With those words, a powerful spiritual pressure descended once more, causing the now powerless Kurosaki Ichigo to fall unconscious.

"Don't just stand there watching," Callum said flatly.

"Is it that entertaining to watch me perform solo?"

"Well, Callum-kun!" A teasing voice rang out from atop a streetlight. "That's quite perceptive of you," Urahara Kisuke said, leaping down to Callum's side.

"You do have quite the talent for performance. If I didn't know better, I might have actually fallen for it."

Callum sighed, gesturing towards the two unconscious figures on the ground.

"These two are yours? Their parents must be incredibly trusting, aren't they worried I might accidentally send them to Soul Society?"

Urahara Kisuke pulled his hat lower. "Those you kill don't go to Soul Society. Besides, one is a Shinigami, the other a Quincy. And, from a familial perspective…"

He pointed to Kurosaki Ichigo. "This kid would have to call you 'cousin'."

Callum looked exasperated. "Me and Isshin are not related, okay? If you insist on calculating it that way, I'm actually your senior!"

As a member of the Kyōraku family, Callum's seniority was considerable, although he never gave it much thought.

Such calculations were far too time-consuming for a Shinigami with their long lifespans.

What truly mattered was one's position and power within Soul Society.

"Alright, enough chatter," Callum urged. "Get these two back for treatment quickly. I truly did sever Kurosaki Ichigo's [Chain of Fate] and [Soul Sleep]. Without prompt treatment, Isshin will be searching for his son in the Rukongai."

Urahara Kisuke effortlessly picked up both individuals. "See you later then, Callum-kun!"

Callum, having already opened the Senkaimon, stepped directly through. Urahara Kisuke smiled wryly under the streetlight. "Such an independent spirit."

In Soul Society, Callum reappeared in the First Division barracks. As the division responsible for commanding the others, the First Division naturally possessed its own Senkaimon.

The Thirteenth Division, tasked with purifying the World of the Living, also had one.

Callum wasn't certain about the other divisions, but most high-ranking nobles undoubtedly had access to one.

Accessing a Senkaimon to travel to the World of the Living was a privilege reserved for those with significant power and required prior authorization.

Genshirō Okikiba stood guard near the Senkaimon. As the First Division's Third Seat, he frequently patrolled the area and also guarded dangerous beings sealed nearby.

"Third Seat Okikiba," Callum greeted, then asked, "Where are Captain Aizen and the guilty Hinamori?"

Okikiba replied softly, "They went to the Captain-Commander's office before your return. Captain Aizen seems to be pleading for Hinamori's leniency."

Callum nodded. "Thank you." He immediately used Shunpo to head to the Captain-Commander's office, only to find Aizen emerging, his expression downcast.

"Captain Aizen, how did it go?"
