The streets of the noble district were unlike anything I'd ever seen in other countries. In short, the mansions looked like miniature castles with the intricate details, decorations, and more.

Eris at my side on the other hand was not so attracted to the decorated houses, she was walking with her fists clenched and with a look that would make any mortal shit their pants.
But when her gaze fell on me or when I turned to look at her, she blushed visibly and a smile unconsciously formed on her face.
I also noticed that her hand wanted to take mine so I went ahead and took her hand causing her to shudder violently.
"R-Rudeus..." She muttered embarrassed and I just shrugged.
'And to think that only I can see this side of her...' This thought made me feel like the luckiest person in the world.
Eris on the other hand did not think differently
'H-he took my hand! I love you! I love you! I love you so much Rudeus!!' she exclaimed with emotion in her mind but on the outside she simply approached me and gave me a kiss on the cheek and hugged my arm.
Noticing his display of affection, I rested my head on his shoulder and we continued walking.
The guards around us, still petrified with fear, couldn't help but look at the two of us with surprised expressions.
't-that kid! W-with such a powerful aura, he can walk so easily next to that girl!! He's definitely terrifying!' One of the guards thought in his mind.
But just as they thought that, the cardinal's notifications began to reach the noble families associated with him.
Including the Latreia house where Zenith was from.
The notification was simple
"Laplace, the Magic God has reincarnated and is in the city. We must stop him before he destroys the entire city."
The word Laplace was fully emphasized causing shock throughout the noble district
But the only problem was that no one knew what that person looked like or so it was until the full description was given.
This was made possible by witnesses who witnessed Rudeus' battle against Alek Kallman a month ago.
"Laplace's reincarnation is currently a boy no more than ten years old, with light brown hair and green eyes. He is accompanied by a red-haired girl and a sword."
Obviously the guards near Rudeus immediately associated these characteristics to him and he immediately became their target in addition to the terrifying aura that he exuded.
There was no more doubt that he was Laplace.
But meeting the supposed Laplace and confronting him are two completely different things.
"S-stop...stop...there!" One of the guards from the noble mansions immediately stood in front of me and drew his sword pointing at me.
Sweat was running heavily from his forehead and his face was pale not to mention the trembling in his body.
I just looked into his eyes increasing my [imposing] skill.
The result was that the guy literally peed himself and fainted, but it also attracted the attention of more guards.
"s-stop!"
"Y-y-you're a-arrested!!"
"S-stop...n-not one more step!"
The shouts or babbling of the guards left me bewildered and Eris as well and even more so when they were about twenty meters away each without any trying to get closer.
"What do you want?" I asked them, staring at them.
Immediately the guards paled and moved further away from me.
"Damn Laplace! Get out of Millis!" One of the "bravest" guards shouted at me while hiding behind two other guards
"Laplace?..." This time it was Eris's turn to be confused and she looked at the guards with open hostility but compared to me they could see her without shitting themselves.
"Yes! You son of a bitch Laplace! By order of the Cardinal we must exterminate you!" The guard continued shouting and I just shrugged.
'It seems that Hitogami has already made his move...' I muttered in my mind
I didn't want to attract attention in the city but I guess it can't be avoided anymore.
So using my [Passive Hypnosis] skill I made all the guards look as if I was going to run towards one of the noble houses and destroy it.
"Bastard!!" They all screamed and ran to the noble mansion, raiding it in the process.
Eris simply looked at all of this with a smile and so we continued walking through the city but at a faster pace.
My goal was obviously to confront the cardinal or kill him and then destroy his army in the great forest.
And if everything went wrong then Millis would be my new ranch.
"We have no choice Eris" I said as I carried her like a princess and rose into the air
"Hah!" She flinched slightly at the feeling of my hand on her ass but didn't say anything and so I headed to the sacred district.
There the Pope and the Cardinal shared a location, but the objective was clear.
The cardinal's guards saw me soar through the air and they all turned pale at once.
*Krooom!!!*
With wind magic I landed hard creating a crater and raising debris.
Obviously I protected Eris from all this and apparently she even blushed at my gaze.
The guards who saw this instead all turned pale and could barely draw their swords.
My [imposing] skill was at its maximum as I lightly walked through the garden of the sacred chapel.
Inside this was the cardinal and he was my target
"Stop!"
"Surrender now Laplace!"
"Come on, try it! You're surrounded!!!"
Still the guards' shouts didn't stop and even I was surprised to laugh slightly.
'Fanaticism is a powerful thing,' I muttered to myself.
"No!" My voice echoed through the garden with wind magic. "I'm only surrounded by fear and dead men!" I said loudly.
"Raaaah! Bastard!" Immediately one of the guards lunged at me with his sword but he didn't even manage to penetrate my Dragon Aura.
His eyes widened before his head shot away from his body.
Eris on the other hand was already taking care of the other guards with relative ease.
This would also serve as training for her.
Thus one by one the once 80 guards were reduced to dismembered corpses or blood stains.
I didn't even use magic or swords, just my hand and my Touki, I felt like a miniature Orsted but stronger and more manly hehe.
There were even some mages and from their mana reserves I could see that they were King rank and above but again only with magic distortion they were incapacitated and subsequently killed.
"Haa...." Eris let out a tired sigh as she pulled her sword from the corpse of one of the guards.
But with healing magic she was able to regain her strength and smile at me.
*ziiing!!!*
The door to the cardinal's office was destroyed in an instant with my wind magic.
But what I found inside surprised me the most.
Inside was the cardinal, enclosed in an Emperor-ranked protective barrier, his face pale, staring at me.
In front of him three men in blue armor with golden swords.
"D-damn Laplace!, Kill him!" The cardinal ordered his guards who pointed their swords at me with hostility.
"tch, trash!" Eris clicked her tongue ready to attack but I stopped her.
"Calm down... They are all emperor-rank swordsmen, you have no chance," I told her.
She immediately pouted and crossed her arms but in the end she mumbled a "fine..." and walked away.
"What should I call you? Laplace or Rudeus!" A two-meter-tall swordsman shouted at me loudly.
But I wasn't in the mood for that so I used wind magic and his head fell off instantly.
The other two swordsmen at his side froze and the cardinal fell to the ground completely horrified. "I-it can't be...h-he was a Water Emperor!!" He screamed looking at the headless corpse "h-how is it that you-" he raised his head but froze when he saw the other two swordsmen without their heads while they fell to the ground in the same way.
The cardinal's already pale face lost all color as he looked at me in desperation and fear.
His last line of defense, the emperor-rank barrier, instantly succumbed to my Distortion Magic, but the cardinal's face showed nothing but realization.
'The second world power...' he muttered in his mind, cursing his stupidity.
"Fucking hell Lord Millis... You set me up..." The cardinal muttered under his breath, not daring to look at me.
But that didn't matter to me, so I grabbed him by the hair and forced him to look at me.
"Your army, where is it?" I asked him.
"..." He didn't answer and looked at me with anger on his face making me sigh.
"I'll ask you one more time, where is your army?... Is it already on its way to the great forest?" I asked him but he clenched his teeth so hard that his gums bled while his eyes looked at me with rage.
"Damn demon! You and your entire fucking race must die! Lord Millis will kill all of you bastards and you!-"
I didn't let him continue as his head fell to the ground.
"And now?..." Eris muttered, crossing her arms and looking at me impatiently.
"We will intercept the army and destroy it," I said as I took her in my arms.
She didn't resist, she destroyed the roof of the chapel and flew away.
But before that I used earth magic to destroy the entire chapel leaving the place as nothing but a wasteland.
So I left the city and headed at supersonic speed to the great forest.

In the city the commotion was not long in making itself known.
The enormous thirty-meter-high chapel, a symbol of the city, was destroyed in seconds by an unknown attacker.
The news was well received in Millis's "Vatican"
The Pope even smiled at the thought that the enemy faction had been destroyed.
Thus Harry Grimoire, the current pope and grandfather of Clift Grimoire, was very pleased with the events.
"Do we know who the attacker was?" The Pope asked.
"No sir... But witnesses say that the cardinal saw the second world power, the Magic God Rudeus, and named him Laplace," one of the papal ministers said with is head bowed.
At this the Pope could not help but burst out laughing, a genuine laugh that he had not felt in years.
"That bastard... Hahahaha! He brought his own death on himself, hahaha!" The Pope's laughter surprised the minister, but he didn't dare say anything.
So shortly after the Pope calmed down he again adopted a serious stance analyzing what would happen next.
Without the Cardinal as a thorn in their side, the papal faction could finally flourish without any problems.
The only problem would be the King of Millis who was allied to the Cardinal
But quickly an idea arose in the Pope's mind
'If I can get the Magic God on my side...the whole city of Millis will be mine!' he shouted in his mind with visible excitement.
"Find some way to contact Lord Rudeus! And don't call him Laplace! Unless you want to die!"
At the Pope's words, the minister bowed deeply again and ran out of his office.
So the Pope was once again left alone with his thoughts and the more he analyzed it, the more excited he became.
"With the power of Rudeus... Millis will be in the palm of my hand!" He muttered with a huge smile that would have disturbed anyone who had seen it.
But the most important thing was that we had to celebrate.
After all, it wasn't every day that the enemy faction was eliminated in a jiffy.
