Kamisato state, Inazuma
Kamisato Ayato started his day like any other. He woke up early in the morning, ate a breakfast that was prepared for him, went to his study and started filling oficial documents. This continued until his sister-Ayaka entered the studio saying that she would be visiting the city that day.
Of course this set off the 'overprotective brother' alarms in Ayato, his sister still had responsibilities (less than him, but it counts) and she was very devoted to them, which meant that she (like him) could not take a day off as she pleased. Now, normally, he would grant her wish, his sister tries very hard (sometimes more than him) but it turns out that the Kamisato clan is quite busy at the moment due to the three commissions being investigated for colaborations with the fatui, to finally get rid of the traitors 'thanks to Narukami sama, he thought'.
Well, what does that mean? That means that his sister-Ayaka was most probably going on a date
Did he mention that she was his sister and that he was overprotective? No? Well..
This internal debate lasted less than a minute, during which he put on a poker face and a thoughtful look (as if he didn't know what he had to do...)
So, putting on his 'diplomatic face' and with a calm voice and look he said "Yes, of course you can, you work harder than me sometimes, take a day off, I'll take care of the rest for today" Ayaka, who was worried her request would be denied smiled at that.
"Thank you, Ayato-nii!!!" She said, Keeping his smile, Ayato was about to hide his face from the brightness of his sister's smile when she left the study.
Although what he didn't tell her is that he would send the Shuumatsu-ban to see who the man who had conquered his sister was, so they could talk later. Thinking of that, a cold smile formed on his face.
He continued working
It was close to dark when Ayato heard another knock on his door, with a "come in" he let in whoever was there. He was about to look up with his diplomatic face and a smile when he heard that very...familiar voice.
At the entrance of the studio with a grace that should be impossible and while one of her hands elegantly covered part of her mouth she said "Oh, you don't even look up to receive me? How cruel of you Ayato, messing with this little fox~" A melodic voice said, Ayato recoignized it from the moment she started talking, his smile faltered a little, her visiting didn't tend to be good news.
"Ah, to what do I the pleasure, high priestess?" She mock-pouted at this and one of her hands came to her chest, as if she was hurt and said "Now, now, with everything we have done together you can't still drop the formalities? Come on, say it, 'Miko'~" She said, mocking him a bit.
He just kept his smile and continued
"Ah, yes, apologize for that..Miko"
"Yes, that's much better, dear" Miko said, still not serious, as always, altough he could see how she was just using him to release stress, she seemed tense.
'That's not good..' he thought
Deciding it was time to tell him why she was here Miko approached his desk as she spoke.
"Don't worry, I know you have your theories but it's not that bad, you just have to accompany me to see the Raiden Shogun in Tenshukaku" she said simply
"Ah, yes, of course you want me to go t-..."
He stopped, then looked back from his work to Yae Miko who was looking at him like someone looking at a joke that only she understands
Then It came to him
"An audience with the Shogun!??!"
He screamed, loudly, at that

Kamisato state, earlier that day
Kamisato Ayaka was having a normal day. She got up, got dressed, and had breakfast.
Afterwards she spent most of the morning moving around Inazuma and the Kamisato state fulfilling her duties.
She was returning to her room while having a conversation with Touma (who on paper was a servant of the Kamisatos but in reality she considered him a great friend) when she felt and saw it. She stumbled clumsily forward as her eyes lost focus, all she could see was white—everything but a few traces of gold in the distance, in Inazuma.
And at that moment she felt the need to find the source of that golden glow, the rest didn't matter, only that peace that the golden light transmitted.
The world regained color and she felt arms holding her so she wouldn't touch the ground-Touma, she noticed. He seemed to be calling her, unfortunately, in her mind there was nothing but that light, so peaceful, so...free.
She told Touma to return to his normal duties, that she had something to talk to her brother about, and although he seemed worried and not very happy with the order he still followed it. When Touma nodded she didn't waste a second going to her brother's studio and asking for permission to go to the city, disguising it as a 'day off'-not her best excuse, she admits to herself (she doesn't take those).
She was afraid that he would not allow it, and with good reason since they were in political tension with the other two commissions and the Shogun herself, but she could still hope. And someone must have answered her request since her brother said yes, she wasted no time in thanking him and leaving for the center of Inazuma (more or less where she saw the light) she assumed that she wasn't the only one who saw that light, but that hope dimmed as more time passed.
The people of Inazuma continued with their lives, everywhere she passed she would be revered, people moved out of her way. Normally this would make her sad, but today it came as an advantage. Still, they didn't seem to have seen that light, she questioned some vendors about it (they were very nervous) but everyone said the same thing (more or less, you get the point)
'What light?' It's like she was the only one who saw it. That made her think but it didn't scare her, such a peaceful light couldn't be dangerous, she knew that instinctively.
When she reached the position of the light she began to search for the source, spending about half an hour walking through the alleys of Inazuma, still without luck, it was a large area.
It was then that she felt it again, the warmth, the tranquility, pulling her. The light, whatever it was, was calling her and she didn't seem able to resist. She entered another alley and there she saw him, a young man, around his same age, maybe a year older. He was wearing a strange black suit with a white t-shirt underneath, he had dark eyes and hair, a little more handsome than average, she realized.
Still, it was nothing special, although she could notice the brief aura of peace that surrounded him, like a thin cloak. Not at all as strong as the light before, but it gave the same feeling.
"Hmm, miss? Do you need something? You've been staring at me for quite a while"
The boy spoke with a grimace, obviously uncomfortable and with that she realized that she had been looking at him for a few minutes without saying anything. Shame was consuming her, but using the maximum power of her poker face, she managed not to show it.
Using her diplomatic skills she said with a kind and serene smile (not very difficult given the state she was in)
"Ah, excuse me, it's just that you looked familiar, could I ask you some questions about the golden light from earlier?"
The boy showed a confused face and said "What light?"
She frowned for a second but at the next it was gone. 'Maybe I imagined it?' she thought, in the end everyone she had asked had told her the same thing.
The boy chose that moment to continue talking, just as she was about to drop the subject.
"Anyway, my name is Alex, whats yours?"
He asked with a surprising disarming smile, it was rude not to introduce yourself when the other party had already done so, although something else picked her interest, because anyone who didn't recognize her wasn't from Inazuma.
"Ah, my apologies, it seems my mind was in another place" Ayaka said while making a formal greeting
"My name is Kamisato Ayaka, a pleasure" she ended with a smile on her face
Alex, who seemed calmer in her presence than before did something she didn't expect.
In what seemed like a blink of an eye, Alex was standing in front of her, gently grabbing her hand and bringing it to his mouth to kiss it softly. The second that the interaction lasted made Ayaka freeze, she could have stopped it, but something inside her didn't want her to do it - in fact - she wanted that contact to continue.
Unfortunately, all good things come to an end sooner or later, and that interaction was no different. When the contact ended Alex took a few steps back and said with a smirk.
"The pleasure is all mine, miss Kamisato"
She must have been deeply immersed in the sensation of those lips on her hand because when she came back in herself, the boy had disappeared and he left more questions than answers, not only from the golden light (which she knew was connected to that boy) but from the boy's sudden action.
She never noticed the figures who were unconscious on the rooftops.
