Rosette Young POV'

As I scurried away, the sound of my footsteps echoed through the hallway, a reminder of my hasty departure.

The empty purse in my hand felt like a weight, a constant reminder of my financial struggles.

I couldn't shake off the feeling of embarrassment, knowing that Caleb had seen my empty purse, my financial struggles laid bare for him to see.

The wind outside seemed to pick up, whipping my hair into a frenzy as I walked.

The sun was much hotter today, casting a golden glow over the city, but I didn't notice.

I was too caught up in my own thoughts, my mind racing with the events of the day. As I walked, the sound of my shoes clicking on the pavement was like a metronome, marking the passage of time.

I felt like I was running out of time, like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of poverty and helplessness.

The smell of the city streets filled my nostrils, a mix of food vendors and exhaust fumes.

My stomach growled, reminding me that I hadn't eaten all day. I quickened my pace, my eyes fixed on the ground ahead.

As I turned a corner, the sound of laughter and chatter filled the air.

My heart sank, knowing that I would have to face more ridicule and humiliation. I steeled myself, my shoulders squaring as I prepared to face whatever lay ahead.

But for now, I just walked, my feet carrying me forward as my mind wandered.

The compound seemed to stretch out before me, a vast and unforgiving landscape.

I felt small and insignificant, a tiny speck in the grand scheme of things. And yet, I kept moving, driven by a spark of determination that burned deep within me.

I would survive, no matter what. I would rise above the ashes of my past and build a new life for myself.

The thought gave me a sense of hope, a glimmer of light in the darkness. My footsteps quickened, my heart beating with a newfound sense of purpose. I would make it, no matter what. I would make it.

In no time I stood infront of the main building...
