Chapter 279 - Boros

Chapter 17 — Boros

With a single motion of his hand, a mesmerizing surge of multicolored Starforce Energy flowed out from Zenin Kyūjō's palm.

The radiant, prismatic light spread outward, wrapping tightly and evenly around the three people beside him. In moments, the glow began to fade, leaving behind a faint shimmer that clung to their bodies like invisible armor.

— — —

"I've stored a vast amount of oxygen around the three of you," Zenin Kyūjō explained calmly. "If any of you get thrown off the ship by accident, that oxygen will keep you alive for a few hours. The invisible barrier surrounding you will also protect you from cosmic radiation."

He paused briefly, his expression firm.

"All right—let's go. I'll explain the rest along the way!"

As soon as those words left his mouth, Zenin Kyūjō unleashed his Starforce, surrounding the group in radiant light. In an instant, they shot upward like a beam piercing the heavens, tearing through the atmosphere and ascending straight into space.

The only one left behind was Fubuki, her face painted with disappointment.

An alien invasion of Earth—an event this extraordinary—of course she wanted to go too.

So badly. So desperately...

But sadly, someone didn't want to bring extra "baggage."

— — —

The prismatic light streaked across the void, carrying Zenin Kyūjō and the others at blinding speed toward a massive spacecraft—an enormous fortress drifting like a floating city in the dark of space.

BOOM!

In a heartbeat, the rainbow-colored light smashed through the ship's outer shields, ripping through its metallic plating before bursting into the main chamber.

"Genos, Tatsumaki, Sweet Mask—stick together. Don't split up." Zenin Kyūjō's voice echoed through the vast interior. "There are three Dragon-level warriors inside this ship. Don't underestimate them. I'll go face their leader—the Dominator of the Universe. Be cautious."

And with that, Zenin Kyūjō's form blurred once again, vanishing like a flash of light.

Boros… I'm coming for you.

I might not be the bald man you're searching for, but if all you want is a worthy defeat... I can grant that much.

— — —

Watching him disappear, Tatsumaki crossed her arms arrogantly, chin held high.

"Hmph! You two, stay put. Don't get in my way. Leave all the enemies to me! They said there's a 'being with the strongest psychokinesis in the entire universe,' right?"

Without waiting for a reply, she shot forward, heading straight toward the ship's front chamber.

Genos and Sweet Mask exchanged glances, neither saying a word before following her lead. It wasn't fear—just caution.

They were dealing with alien lifeforms whose power levels were unknown, and multiple Dragon-level opponents at that. Acting recklessly or splitting up could be suicidal.

Besides, Genos had absolute faith in his teacher's advice.

If Zenin Kyūjō said to be careful, then the enemies here were not to be taken lightly.

Among the three of them, Tatsumaki was clearly the strongest combatant.

If she slipped up and got taken down, both he and Sweet Mask would be in grave danger.

— — —

Inside the ship's command chamber.

Red warning lights blared, bathing the metallic room in a crimson glow.

Hovering above the floor was a massive blue being—over six meters tall—with a head resembling a giant octopus.

This was Geryuganshoop, the self-proclaimed strongest telekinetic being in the entire universe.

"What's going on?" he asked calmly, though his tone carried weight. "Have the intelligent lifeforms of this planet discovered us?"

One of the alien crew members quickly saluted. "Lord Geryuganshoop, it seems so! Our ship's outer hull was just breached by an unidentified energy source. Approximately 0.032% of the structure has sustained damage. Four hostiles have infiltrated the ship!"

"Three of them are together and heading toward the energy core chamber. The last one… we can't track his position."

"Hm?" Geryuganshoop's large eyes narrowed dangerously. After a moment's thought, he issued his command.

"Contact the elite warrior, Groribas. Order him to intercept the intruders—don't let them near the core. No, wait…"

He paused, then added with sharp precision,

"Summon Melzargard too. Have them go together. Do not underestimate the enemy. I suspect the intelligent life on this planet isn't as simple as we believed."

— — —

At the far end of the ship, in a grand hall resembling a royal palace.

Seated upon a throne of alien steel was the leader of the Dark Matter Thieves—Boros, the Dominator of the Universe.

He sat with one hand resting against his chin, his single eye gleaming with anticipation.

He had waited long for this—a true battle worthy of his existence.

"It's close… so close… Earth. I've finally arrived."

"Tell me, my destined rival—are you ready? For twenty years, I've crossed galaxies in search of you. And it was worth every moment. I, the undefeated ruler of the universe, have grown weary of my own strength…"

But before his monologue could continue—

BOOOOM!

A deafening explosion tore through the hall. The massive steel doors burst open, and from the swirling dust, a lone figure stepped inside—Zenin Kyūjō.

— — —

Before him stood Boros—his blue skin marked by glowing, pulsing veins, a single eye blazing at the center of his face. His body was clad in special armor forged to restrain his own power.

The Dominator of the Universe rose slowly, his aura flaring like a storm.

He gazed at Kyūjō and spoke in a deep, thunderous tone.

"So, you're the representative of this planet? I can feel immense power within you—an immeasurable force."

"You're strong. Just as I foresaw. Before we fight, tell me your name. I am Boros, leader of the Dark Matter Thieves—ruler of all existence!"

"I came to this planet seeking the rival foretold in prophecy. That should be you, right?"

To him, it was clear.

The energy radiating from Zenin Kyūjō was vast and profound—undeniably the aura of the one destined to face him.

But Kyūjō merely smiled and shook his head.

"Sorry, I'm not the one you're looking for. The man you seek is bald—his name is Saitama. I'm Zenin Kyūjō… and as you can see, I have plenty of hair."

"Still," he added, his tone soft yet edged with confidence, "if all you want is a fight, I'll gladly entertain you. Just try not to die too quickly."

As he spoke, a blinding surge of Starforce gathered in his palm.

In an instant, a massive blade—forty meters long—formed from pure rainbow light.

With one fluid motion, Zenin Kyūjō swung it downward.

"Cleaving the Sacred Mountain!"

BOOOOOOM!

The entire palace split apart under the strike—the throne, the hall, even Boros's body—cleaved in two by a single swing.

— — —

CRACK!

Boros's armor shattered instantly, fragments scattering into the air.

But his bisected body began to writhe and mend—the shredded flesh pulling itself back together, regenerating faster than the eye could follow.

Feeling the overwhelming pressure of Zenin Kyūjō's power, Boros grinned widely, excitement burning in his lone eye.

At once, he released every limit restraining him.

His body pulsed with energy, colors swirling wildly across his form.

Without hesitation, he activated his ultimate combat state—

Meteoric Burst!
