Chapter 281 - The Wrath of Tatsumaki

Chapter 19 — The Wrath of Tatsumaki

After clashing for several tense seconds, the energy of the Roaring Star Collapsing Cannon was finally, completely neutralized by Zenin Kyūjō.

— — —

Amidst the field of distant stars, the broken, barely-living body of Boros drifted weakly, his once-proud face now dull and lifeless like decaying wood. Across from him, Zenin Kyūjō stood untouched—his clothes unruffled, his expression calm.

Boros could only stare and let out a bitter smile.

At the brink of death, he cursed that "Cosmic Prophet" in his heart over ten thousand times.

A thrilling, glorious battle, was it?

Is this what you meant?

The reality was cruelly one-sided. There was no excitement, no satisfaction—only defeat. He hadn't been granted even a sliver of resistance.

The so-called "Dominator of the Universe" could feel neither joy nor the rush of combat.

Zenin Kyūjō glanced at the dying alien and decided not to interfere. Instead, he turned away, a streak of light propelling him back toward the massive spaceship hovering nearby.

The ship was now his prize—his spoils of war.

He couldn't just let Tatsumaki tear the entire vessel apart.

— — —

Inside the ship's energy chamber—

In midair, Tatsumaki and the self-proclaimed Number One Telekinetic Master in the Universe, Geryuganshoop, were locked in an invisible mental struggle.

Below them, Genos and Amai Mask were engaged in a brutal battle against Melzargard, a terrifying creature with near-immortal regenerative abilities.

Fortunately, this world had Zenin Kyūjō as a mentor. The current Genos had undergone countless upgrades—his strength, speed, weaponry, combat instincts, and battle experience had all surpassed his canonical counterpart by leaps and bounds.

As for Amai Mask, unwilling to become a burden, he did something unprecedented: for the first time ever, he revealed his true monstrous form before others.

His beautiful face twisted into something horrific—but in return, his speed, strength, and regenerative power skyrocketed. Together with Genos, he fought toe-to-toe with Melzargard, holding the creature at bay.

High above, Tatsumaki caught a glimpse of Amai Mask's transformation and was momentarily surprised—but she had no time to dwell on it. Against two powerful alien psychics, there was no room for distraction.

— — —

In the original One Punch Man timeline, a general like Melzargard had once battled several S-Class heroes alone—Bang, Atomic Samurai, Metal Bat, and even Puri-Puri Prisoner.

Yet now, Genos and Amai Mask alone were enough to keep him restrained. It was undeniable proof of how far they had grown under Kyūjō's guidance.

As for Geryuganshoop, his psychic prowess was indeed terrifying. Among Boros's three top generals, his influence and raw telekinetic mastery were the greatest.

— — —

High above the ship, tens of meters above the metallic decks, Tatsumaki crossed her arms over her chest, her emerald hair swirling violently around her. Annoyance crept across her face.

This blue octopus was proving troublesome. Outside of Zenin Kyūjō and Saitama, it was the first time she had encountered someone who could fully resist her telekinesis.

But she wasn't the strongest esper on Earth for nothing.

With a cold snort, she decided to stop holding back.

Her psychic aura erupted like a raging storm. Invisible waves of force howled outward, crashing against Geryuganshoop like a tidal wave.

At the same time, she compressed and spun her psychic energy into a single point—forming an enormous, invisible telekinetic spike in midair.

With dual focus, Tatsumaki hurled the psychic spear forward at incredible speed, aiming straight for the alien's core.

But instead of panic, Geryuganshoop simply sneered.

"Such a cheap trick… and you dare display it before me?"

He raised his tentacles, eyes glowing. "Witness my ultimate art—Telekinetic Spiral Shard Barrage!"

In an instant, shards of metal tore free from the ship's walls and hull, whirling around him like a cyclone. Guided by his mind, hundreds of razor-sharp fragments pierced through Tatsumaki's psychic spike and rushed toward her from every direction.

The air was filled with a deafening shriek of cutting metal.

Tatsumaki's body was impaled in six, seven places. Blood sprayed from her mouth, her eyes wincing in pain.

So close...!

If not for her instinctive countermeasure—the psychic spike that delayed the attack for a split-second—she might have been killed on the spot.

But that small delay sealed Geryuganshoop's fate.

From the depths of her fury and pain, Tatsumaki's psychic energy erupted. It was no longer a storm—it was an ocean, vast and boundless.

Even Geryuganshoop, who had battled across galaxies, felt it—a primal fear clawing at the core of his being.

Panicking, he unleashed another wave of Spiral Shard Barrage, hurling every remaining fragment toward her.

Yet this time… the shards froze midair, just one meter before reaching her.

Tatsumaki's expression was blank. Blood trickled from her lips as she stared directly at the trembling alien.

"Number One Telekinetic in the Universe…? Heh."

A smirk curved on her face, wild and dangerous.

Then her voice thundered, shaking the air itself.

"Die, you pathetic blue squid! You're just another bald freak like that Saitama idiot!"

Her psychic will surged.

The metal shards exploded forward, shattering through Geryuganshoop's barrier and tearing his body apart until it resembled a mangled hive.

Still unsatisfied, Tatsumaki extended her hand and clenched her fist tightly.

Below, the five bodies of Melzargard convulsed midair before being crushed into pools of twisted flesh, their cores crushed in unison.

Two of Boros's top generals—Geryuganshoop and Melzargard—were annihilated in seconds by Tatsumaki's wrath.

But she wasn't done.

Fueled by adrenaline and fury, she turned toward the ship itself, her telekinesis flaring once again. Plates of metal groaned as the entire vessel began to warp and tear apart under her control.

And then—

A brilliant emerald light burst between her and the ship.

Zenin Kyūjō appeared in the middle of the chaos, Starforce radiating from his body. The sheer energy dispelled Tatsumaki's telekinetic storm in an instant, scattering it like mist in the wind.

"That's enough, Tatsumaki," he said calmly. "The fight's over. Don't destroy the ship—it's mine now."

As he spoke, Kyūjō extended a hand. A stream of green Starforce energy flowed from his palm, enveloping Tatsumaki's body.

Her wounds closed instantly, the blood fading as warmth spread through her.

It was a Ninja Healing Technique, one Kyūjō had developed by merging Starforce with his own adaptation of Kidō and Kaidō—the healing arts of the Shinigami world.

Through it, he could heal not just wounds—but restore spirit itself.

And as the glow faded, Tatsumaki could only float there, speechless, as Zenin Kyūjō stood before her like an unshakable pillar amidst the stars.
