Aurora jolted up in shock as cold water splashed on her.
"Oh now she's awake" a male voice snicker.
Her eyes were blurry from the impact of the water and blinked severally.
Raising her hands to wipe it, but felt a restraint there.
She was chained to a wall with her feet bound together.
Her clothes soaked and body shivered from a slight cold.
"He will come meet you soon…" he sneered walking out and slammed the metallic door harshly.
She was kept in a cell room, with no windows and a bucket at the far end of it.
Aurora glanced around the room, it had the pungent smell of blood and death.
Her stomach did a flip as it growled, the impact of the smell greatly disturbing.
Her gasp echoed in the dim room, glancing around she couldn't find anything that could help her escape.
The sound of chains rattled as she tried moving her hands.
With subtle movements, she slithered her hands through the chain but it was tight, perfect size for her wrists.
She huffed out annoyingly.
Her body had sore pains around, as whatever they injected in her was the cause of it, she thought.
She dragged her arms from the walls forcefully again and again, as the chains rattled continuously, the sound echoing.
Exhausted, her neck limped and back slouched, the tears were flowing freely as sobs racked through her body.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
She repeated severally in her mind.
She shouldn't have ever called the police.
She should have listened.
She could have endured it all and had Sandra safe.
But now because of her foolish actions, the life of her friend might be at great stake.
She stared long at the lightbulb on the ceiling.
Her thoughts crumbled as no idea for escape in mind.
She stared into the abyss– alone.

In what seemed like a big space. Different shelves stacked with antique objects, the air smelling of sandalwood, gunpowder and cigarettes.
Viktor stood in the center, taking a sharp exhale from his cig watching the clip before his eyes.
"What do you need?" He turned calmly with precise glare at the intruder.
His tune sharp.
"S..sir she's been locked up in the basement. What should we do next?" The intruder replied, his voice unstable but firm.
With a clenched fist, Viktor took the cig from his mouth, smashed it on the floor with his foot.
He glanced at the window.
He will deal with her later, for now they should do anything they like.
"Do whatever you want but – I still need her alive."
To pay a surprise visit.
"Yes sir." The guard nodded and left.
With slow precise steps, Viktor walked to the open window in the office.
His footsteps halted as he glanced around the building, his expression unreadable.
His body pricked with discomfort as if trying to be free.
Eyes shut tightly, fingers piercing his skin, a growl escaped his lips.
Free!
No he can't let it out.
Free!
The voice spoke again, this time louder.
"Bang!" His hand hit the window as his pants increased with hard breaths.
Eyes rolled back to the point his pupils disappeared.
He banged on the mirror hard as the glass shattered, gaining the attention of the guards outside.
Confusion was in the air as everyone glanced at each other and wondered why their leader broke the glass.
Trashing on the floor, body trembling, his body burning. Battling in his mind.
Stop!
Stop!
Stop!!!
****
Sandra was still bound on the bed, eyes opened with a sting.
Her body wrecked with pain, any movement made was a punishment.
With sore eyes she glanced around the room.
How long have I been out?
Instantly she got flashbacks.
No! No! Please stop!!!
"Ahh," she gasped.
With her eyes closed, she tried to stop the tears from coming but it was late.
It came streaming down in frenzy as quiet sobs racked through her body.
She didn't know how long she'd been here or eaten.
What she knew for sure was, they'd been injecting poisons in her body for a while now.
'Bang'. The door banged open as a man walked into the room.
His steps loud and with a mission.
She glanced down.
The same man who had been giving her those deadly dosages.
Costello.
"And she's awake. How are you, princess?" He asked, voice chirpy like he had not been feeding her poisons daily.
Her body crawled with disgust and her face morphed into that of sheer hatred.
"Fuck you." She spat.
Costello tsk as he took out a syringe from the box he came with.
"You are just ill-mannered. Maybe I won't show mercy today."
Her eyes widened and Costello saw a flicker of emotion.
Fear.
"See, I knew you could behave. You just needed the right encouragement" He taunted bringing out his glove and the white liquid.
Fear racked through her body as she trembled, shaking her head.
"Please don't. No! No! –
Costello grew quite annoyed at the noise she was making, brought out a napkin and put it over her mouth.
The material muffled her screams as tears streamed down her eyes.
Slowly her movements began to reduce, her vision getting blurry and body weak, lay limp as darkness took over her consciousness.
"Now was it hard?" Costello smiled, throwing the napkin at the corner of the room aimlessly.
And began work.

Aurora still was awake still staring into nothing.
"So this is her." A voice echoed in the room.
The door was pushed open more as a man in white lab coat and an all black overalls walked in with a guard.
His hair black and eyes brown like sand. Lean and a little over 5'10.
He walked over to her and crouched.
His long slim fingers held her jaw a bit firm as he examined her face.
Aurora's body crawled with disgust as she forcefully snatched her face from his hands but his grip was tight.
And any moment could pierce into her skin.
"Don't you dare." He warned in a low voice but the tune clearly carried the meaning.
Unfazed, she glared right back at him and spat on his face.
Instantly he loosened his grip, stood straight.
The guard lunged forward but he waved an arm to stop him.
"Let me go you fucking bastards!" She crashed around, the sound of chains rattling in the room.
He brought out a napkin, cleaned his face, the curve of his lip lifting in a smirk.
"You are one hell of a fighter…but I'm better."
Smack!
He slapped her across the face, tearing a light layer of her skin.
Her head hit the wall from the impact, and moaned in pain.
Blood oozed out like streams.
His laughter echoed throughout the room as he crouched down at her face, dragged her hair harshly and spat.
"Why don't we make this a bit fun?"
He summoned the guard, who handed him a black metal box.
"Where…is..Sandra?" She kept on repeating that he tapes her mouth.
"Now who's talking?" He patted her cheeks mockingly as he brought a white tiny crystal like substance with a napkin.
Her eyes followed his every move as she watched him pour some of those substances into the napkin.
He glanced at her wearily and in a swift manner, dipped it straight at her injury.
"Ahhhh!!!" Her voice loud and clear echoed the whole room.
Salt.
It was salt he dipped the napkin in.
It burned her skin as he pressed on it harder.
He swayed his head and swung his other arm musically as if making the normal saying "music to my ears" practical.
She screamed trying to scratch his face but the chain was a great obstacle and his laugh echoed in mockery to her pain.
"Now, I don't really want to hurt you, since our boss doesn't want you passed out or anything, so I'll take my leave –for now." He growled the last part menacingly with the guard behind, both left.
As only her sobs could be heard in the room, she muttered, pain on her voice and her heart hurting.
"Sandra…where are you…
