Chapter 79 - Chapter 79: S.H.I.E.L.D., please, don’t call me. I’m afraid Aron will misunderstand.

When Aron left the Trident headquarters, he didn't just unblock the game account, but also brought along a little assistant.

"Aron, can you put me down?"

Skye was blushing all over as Aron carried her.

At that moment she realized that the word "abduction" wasn't really that wrong after all.

"Alright."

Aron replied without hesitation.

His words were short but decisive. In his mind there was no dilemma: either execution right away, or wait until they returned through the portal to the temple, and then finish things with Skye. And not just with her.

Aron had also brought with him SHIELD's 084 object – the obelisk.

"Aron, this thing is very dangerous!"

"It can turn people into stone!"

Skye was panicking as she watched him hold it without any protection. Her first reaction was to warn him.

Even though she was taken away by force, she didn't resist. Skye had only recently joined SHIELD, and her sense of belonging wasn't strong.

After Hydra had infiltrated their ranks again, when another space carrier had fallen and colleagues were dying all around, her trust in SHIELD was shaken even more.

Now, being with Aron, a demon hunter, she at least felt safe.

"Skye."

Aron looked at her while holding the obelisk in his hand.

"Do you know why SHIELD has been watching you so carefully?"

He gently pressed his palm against the obelisk.

Click.

Skye's eyes widened. Since the moment she met Coulson, she had seen many attempts to destroy the obelisk – all unsuccessful.

And now, under Aron, the hard surface of the obelisk began to deform. Soon a sudden crack was heard.

"Skye, do you want powers like mine?"

His voice carried weight and the hint of a promise.

Of course she had thought about it! Skye had always been an ordinary person. Who wouldn't want to become superhuman?

"Can I really?"

Her voice trembled with excitement.

"Of course. You just have to endure it."

Aron carefully broke the outer shell of the obelisk and revealed the glowing Terrigen crystal.

Skye wasn't an ordinary human. Her true identity was as an unawakened Inhuman. The mist released by the Terrigen crystal was the medium through which their power was awakened.

Hearing Aron's words, Skye didn't hesitate. She reached for the crystal.

The moment her fingers touched the surface, the mist spread out like a powerful shockwave.

"Mirror dimension."

Before the mist could spread, Aron summoned high-level magic – the mirror dimension. In it he trapped the Terrigen mist.

He knew well: for Inhumans it was a gift, but for other races – deadly poison. Especially for ordinary humans, it was enough to touch it and they would immediately turn into stone.

"Aron, I can't move, I…"

Skye's body stiffened after contact with the mist. Stone spread quickly across her body, covering her like a shell.

At first glance, it looked as if she had been petrified.

Soon her entire body turned into a statue.

Aron didn't panic. He knew this was a normal phase.

And indeed, it wasn't long before Skye broke out from the stone cocoon from within. Like a butterfly emerging from its chrysalis, she shone anew.

Her skin was bright and clean like that of a newborn.

"Am I… really superhuman?"

Skye looked at her hands in disbelief. She could feel the power within her. Strong, fierce, ready to respond to her will at any moment.

"Try it."

"We're in a separate space, you won't destroy anything in reality."

Aron calmly encouraged her.

Skye took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and raised her hand. She began to channel the energy from her body.

Seconds passed. Aron thought her first attempt wouldn't succeed.

Boom!

A transparent shockwave, visible to the naked eye, suddenly exploded from her palm.

The temple hall within the mirror dimension was destroyed. Glass showcases, wooden screens, walls – everything shattered under the wave of force.

"Ah! Sorry! I… I didn't mean to!"

Skye opened her eyes wide, terrified by the damage she had caused.

"Don't worry. This is a separate space. What you destroy is only a projection of the real world. In other words – fake."

With a wave of his hand, Aron restored the destroyed hall to its original state.

"Phew, good."

Skye placed her hand on her chest and felt relieved.

"…Pretty useful."

Aron shook his head, closed the mirror dimension, and returned them to reality.

"Now be careful. We're back."

"Uh-huh!"

Skye nodded, looking like an obedient chick. Her eyes were fixed on Aron, full of admiration.

What did SHIELD mean to her now? Nothing. In her heart it was clear: if anyone could protect and guide her, it was Aron.

...

After the account was unblocked, Aron once again set out on the path to a higher league.

This time the person accompanying him was Skye. The speed of her fingers on the keyboard was incredible, a true force when it came to hacking and controlling the game.

Aron's rank began to rise sharply again. In just three days he broke into the top ten of the American servers and became known as Batman among the players.

"You're still playing Batman? If it wasn't for that cute girl making miracles in the match, you wouldn't have even won this round!"

"Anyone can play if his sister carries him! Are you even capable on your own?"

Messages of rage began flooding the public chat. The opposing side was frustrated, and Aron glanced at it briefly. His expression remained calm, for his state of mind was no longer what it had been before.

If you have a sister helping you, that's still a skill. Let them find someone like Skye too, who could react with lightning speed and take down four in a second.

"Yay, we won again!"

Skye stretched and put down her phone.

"Let's call it a day. I'm going to Wanda in the temple to spend some time together."

In three days, cheerful and sociable Skye had already made friends with everyone, and she was especially close to Wanda.

"Alright, go." Aron smiled, watching her leave. Just as she closed the door, his expression changed.

"A little brat mocks me, huh? Fine. Just wait, I'll remember this!"

For Aron, revenge was never a question of if, but when.

...

At the same time, while Aron was planning the next match, the rumble of engines was heard outside the community.

A retro Harley motorcycle and a 1969 Dodge Charger suddenly braked and stopped by the roadside.

"This is the place."
