Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: Re-entry into Asgard

[Ding!]

[Abnormal energy detected!]

[The exorcism system is purifying you!]

Following the system's tone, the Spirit of Vengeance that had entered Aron's body was quickly stripped of its power.

The abilities that belonged to Zarathos and the Spirit Knights, Aron took over and quickly mastered.

The immortal body.

Enchanted vehicles.

The Penance Stare!

These were the fundamental powers of every Ghost Rider.

The ability to enchant and transform vehicles.

And the most dangerous of all – the ultimate skill, the Penance Stare.

"Aaaa!!"

As Aron absorbed the powers without restraint, suddenly a painful scream was heard.

The sound came from his body.

"Darling?"

"..."

"It wasn't me who called."

Hela at first thought something had happened to Aron, but he shook his head.

It was over almost as quickly as it began.

Everyone present soon realized what was happening.

"Aaaa!!"

The Spirit of Vengeance, which had merged with Aron, suddenly tore itself out of his body, screaming and visibly humiliated.

The flames on its skull extinguished and turned into thick black smoke.

"Don't go!"

Aron reached out, trying to hold it back, but the spirit tore free and ran toward Johnny without looking back.

Johnny was still talking with Robbie about his plans for a peaceful life.

"I'll buy a farm in New Jersey, raise sheep, cattle, finally retire from all this…"

He turned – and saw a skeleton wrapped in black smoke charging at him.

"Shit!"

"Don't come here!"

Johnny cursed.

He wanted to escape, but it was too late.

The Spirit of Vengeance once again forced itself into his body, completely destroying his retirement plan.

"Johnny?"

Robbie asked cautiously.

"...Stop yelling, I'm annoyed."

Johnny, who had come back to himself, pushed Robbie's hand away and nervously walked toward Aron.

Meanwhile, Aron opened his eyes.

In just twelve seconds, he had absorbed most of the Spirit of Vengeance's powers.

He had not yet crossed the threshold of the divine level, but he had gained what he most lacked – a weapon for offense.

Demonic power was best for strengthening the body, suitable for close combat.

Shadow energy was excellent for fighting large numbers of enemies and summoning.

Low-level occult magic was weak, and advanced magic usually required specific energies.

Now he had something else.

"The Penance Stare… a divine skill that strikes directly at the enemy's soul."

Its function was clear – burning the soul of sinners.

This dealt both physical and magical damage at the same time.

Aron now also had a true weapon against souls.

"A few more control skills and I'll be complete."

He thought about this and immediately connected his abilities.

Able to fight and use weapons, he now had three types of damage – physical, magical, and spiritual. With the ability of resurrection (the power of the Morning Star), he could completely destroy demonic forms.

"How did you do that?"

Johnny approached, disbelief in his eyes.

"I can feel the Spirit of Vengeance's fear of you."

"It fears you, Aron, because you took away its power."

It was the first time Johnny had ever felt emotions from his spirit.

Fear. Extreme fear.

As soon as he came closer to Aron, the Spirit of Vengeance inside his body retreated, pretending to be dead.

It could do nothing.

"Johnny, this guy is possessing you again."

"What do you say I pull it out again?"

Aron asked, half joking, half serious.

He still wasn't satisfied – he wanted everything.

"Forget it."

"Now I feel that the spirit isn't so powerful anymore."

"And more importantly, it can no longer take over my body."

Johnny shook his head.

Today's spirit could no longer control him.

Retaining its power was the best he could get.

"And now I can help you much more."

"Weren't you saying you were going into retirement?"

Aron raised an eyebrow.

From Johnny's tone, it seemed like he had changed his mind.

"I was thinking… maybe the money I have isn't enough."

"A few more years under a generous boss, and I'll secure a better retirement."

"..."

"Then work hard, maybe the boss will even marry you next year."

"Alright! So? Master?"

...

They left Limbo.

Aron once again summoned the colorful elevator and requested a return to Asgard.

Heimdall immediately lowered the pillar of light and Aron once again found himself on the Rainbow Bridge.

"Hahaha!"

"My friend!"

A deep, hearty laugh made Aron frown.

Thor was near the Bifrost and as soon as he saw him, he approached with a wide smile.

"My friend, have you come to Asgard to drink with me?"

"I'm looking for Odin."

Aron rolled his eyes.

Thor's enthusiasm was hard to ignore.

"Come, my friend, I'll take you to my father."

"Along the way I'll show you our Asgard, haha!"

Thor threw his arm around his shoulder, acting like a typical carefree prince.

"Thor, weren't you supposed to go to Muspelheim?"

Heimdall reminded him.

"Oh yes, I almost forgot."

Thor slapped his forehead and looked confused.

On one hand, he had a mission. On the other, Aron was here.

"You go."

"I've already been to Asgard, I know the way."

Aron calmly let him go.

"Then… next time you come, I'll treat you to wine a thousand years old."

Thor promised with a serious expression.

Aron seriously doubted it.

Kept for more than a thousand years? In Asgard? It would be a miracle if it lasted overnight.

Leaving the Rainbow Bridge, Aron suddenly remembered.

"Where did Heimdall say Thor was going again? To… Muspelheim?"

He didn't remember the exact name, but he had seen the sign when the bridge was activated – the Land of Fire.

"Could it be related to Surtur?"

"Is it possible that Ragnarok is beginning?"

He shook his head. Unlikely.

A short while ago, during Ultron's crisis, Jane Foster discovered the Aether particles.

That meant the events of Thor 2 had only just begun.

Ragnarok from the third movie should still be at least a few years away.

Still…

"Hela is with me. What Ragnarok?"

Aron smiled and dismissed the thought.
