Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Hela – Old Man, Give Me Two More Artifacts!

Aron stepped into the Great Hall of Asgard.

Odin was, as always, sitting on the throne, in his well-known pose.

Aron couldn't help but wonder, does this old man have some kind of problem like Thanos, or was his backside simply welded to the seat?

However, it soon became clear that his assumption was wrong.

He wasn't welded.

Odin slowly stood up.

In his hands he held the Eternal Gun, as he slowly walked toward Aron.

Aron's eyes immediately narrowed.

This old man… was becoming stronger again.

Stronger than the last time he saw him, only a little, but the difference was there.

And that could mean only one thing.

"Are you dying?" Aron asked bluntly.

"Mm."

Odin nodded without hesitation.

"I am already aware of Hela's situation."

"You're doing an excellent job."

"As I told you before, she is an incredibly strong warrior."

"As long as you can give her a goal to fight for, she will always be loyal to you. Of that, you can be completely certain."

Odin's words were absolutely clear, giving the final assurance of Hela's loyalty.

But Aron had no doubts about Hela.

It was obvious to anyone watching, Hela loved battle. She was the embodiment of the warlike spirit, a true battle maniac, and that was her nature.

"Alright, let's skip the useless talk. You know why I'm here."

Aron had no intention of discussing family and home with the old man on the throne.

Although technically Odin could be considered his father-in-law… well, whose fault was it that his daughter didn't even want to acknowledge her father?

"..."

"Come with me."

...

Soon, Aron followed Odin to the treasury.

"You may choose one of them."

Odin opened the door and gestured inside.

In other words, Aron could only choose one of the artifacts.

"This is your treasure of Asgard?"

Aron paused.

Honestly, he expected something more impressive.

What Odin called a "treasury" seemed almost empty. The temple in New York had a larger collection of magical artifacts than this place.

"Choose only one? When there are so few of them?"

"This is only one of the treasures of the Asgardian palace."

"My collection is large, but these are the finest things that can be offered."

Odin immediately noticed Aron's dissatisfaction, so he frowned and gave an explanation.

In other words, perhaps not quantity, but here were the highest quality items.

"Alright then."

Aron began carefully inspecting the room.

Inside, he could immediately recognize a few items: the Infinity Gauntlet (for the right hand), the Cosmic Cube, the Casket of Ancient Winters, the Eternal Flame.

Apart from that, there were several unknown items, a huge glass orb, a broken stone tablet, an ancient sword, a horn, and a model ship.

"What is all this?"

Aron looked disappointed.

Other than the Cosmic Cube, that is, the Tesseract, one of the Infinity Stones, the rest of the items looked like a pile of junk.

Even about the Infinity Gauntlet, he wasn't sure if it was real or fake.

He remembered the movie Thor: Ragnarok, where Hela commented that the gauntlet in the treasury was a forgery.

"Maybe I should bring Hela here. She knows every detail and would surely know what's worth anything here."

"???"

Aron was confused when he heard his own thoughts.

But just then, Odin said something that completely stunned him.

Aron looked at him as if the old man had lost his mind.

"Odin… do you remember what you said earlier?"

Weren't you the one who didn't want Hela to ever set foot in Asgard?

And now suddenly, you want to see her?

"Son…"

"I just… want to see her."

Odin sighed softly, his voice unusually calm.

"..."

"Alright, but don't come complaining to me later."

Aron was silent for a moment, then began the summoning.

"I summon…"

When Aron left Limbo, Hela was preparing for an invasion of Lucifer's hell.

So, when she felt Aron's call, she answered with a delay, whether because she was busy or for some other reason, it wasn't clear.

But shortly after the ritual was completed, the response came.

"She's probably busy…"

Zuuummmm—!

The moment Aron wanted to explain the situation, the space in the treasury shook.

Suddenly, a dark green rift appeared.

"Hela?"

"Father."

The scene of the father and daughter's reunion was anything but emotional.

Hela stepped out of the rift but paid no attention to Odin.

Instead, she immediately went to Aron.

"Ah, Asgard… what a familiar scent."

The moment she set foot on Asgardian soil, it was as if she had shed heavy shackles.

Her power suddenly rose, visible even to the naked eye.

Until then, after absorbing Mephisto and the Spirit of Vengeance, Aron had finally surpassed her in strength.

But now, in just a few moments, Hela regained her power and leapt past him again.

In fact, she had always been at the level of "Heavenly Father" – now she had simply regained what had always been hers.

"Ah, this feeling…"

"Like returning to the days when you led wars across the Nine Realms, isn't it, father?"

Hela opened her eyes.

The true princess of Asgard, the real Goddess of Death, had returned in her full power.

Once again, she stood on the land that had been forbidden to her for thousands of years.

The dream of return was fulfilled.

"I am sorry, Hela, but I had to do it…"

"I could no longer endure the wars."

"What our people needed was peace."

Odin sighed deeply, his voice carrying the weight of ages.

"Ah, that story again."

Hela immediately showed impatience and even looked at Aron with a trace of humor in her eyes.

"Darling, may I lead the army of the dead and attack Asgard?"

"If you can defeat this old man, go ahead."

Aron answered without blinking, knowing she was only provoking.

"Then forget it…"

Hela waved her hand and looked at Odin with a cold smile: "Don't worry, father, I will not forgive you. But you don't need to explain anymore, I don't care."

"By the way, I do thank you for allowing me to meet such a good man."

She said this and leaned against Aron.

"???"

Odin's one eye showed disbelief for the first time.

He looked at Aron as if trying to understand what kind of situation this young man had managed to create.

"Ahem."

"Hela, help me see what's worth taking here."

"Let's grab a few more pieces."

Aron quickly changed the subject.

Hela smiled and began walking around the treasury.

First, she stopped at the Infinity Gauntlet.

With one gesture, she knocked the gauntlet to the ground in disgust.

"Fake."

"..."

Odin's eyelid twitched.

"It's true, just not adorned with gems."

"Worthless."

Hela completely ignored it.

She continued and one by one knocked down each item, destroying Odin's collection as if taking revenge on him.

She didn't stop until she came to the sword.

"This sword… its name is Gram. It belonged to my grandfather Bor."

"That is, the last divine king of Asgard."

She picked it up without hesitation and tossed it straight into Aron's hands, while Odin watched in shock.

"Darling, take it."

"This is the first dowry my father prepared for me."

"Now I'll choose one more…"
