Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: Noble dragons never keep their promises!

The ferocious Dragon Might descended from the sky like a bursting dam.

The Griffons immediately became restless. Facing an incredibly powerful Red Dragon, they couldn't help but tremble, their bodies swaying uncontrollably.

Several Human Knights were directly thrown from the sky by their Griffons.

They fell heavily onto the ground.

A massive shadow coldly stared down at everyone. Even the Griffin Knight Captain, a mid-level warrior, couldn't help but change his expression drastically, a strong sense of unease rising in his heart.

A large Dragon.

Although it didn't seem to be fully grown, it was already capable of posing a significant threat to them.

This wasn't a waste like a White Dragon, which was often the path for some adventurers to earn the title of Dragon Slayer. Even a juvenile Red Dragon was quite powerful.

At the same time.

He tore open another spell scroll.

A transparent, glass-like magical aura was attached to everyone. This was a fourth-circle spell, Anti-Dragon Aura, which could weaken a Dragon's breath attack.

Dragons.

They were not common on the continent, but their existence was widely known.

Because any kingdom that was slightly prosperous had been plundered by Dragons, every army unit would prepare corresponding methods to deal with Dragon attacks.

However.

The leader of the Griffon squad did not want to start a war. He forced himself to remain calm, then looked up at the colossal creature before him and replied in a respectful tone, "Greetings to you, Red Dragon Your Excellency. Please forgive my presumptuous question, but what is your purpose in descending here?"

"You've trespassed into my territory, and you still dare to question me as to why?"

Caesar retorted coldly.

This place was actually more than ten miles away from his territory, but fighting near his home always annoyed a Dragon, unless the other party paid a sufficient price.

Whoosh!

Burning dragon breath spread from his mouth, and a large amount of Fire Elements gathered around him. The temperature rose steadily, and a black and red flame halo appeared in front of Caesar.

The halo was filled with dazzling flames.

It illuminated the surroundings with a fiery red glow, and the high temperature it emitted made every Knight sweat profusely. They stared intently at Caesar's movements, each one on high alert.

Boom boom boom!.....

Loud explosions rang out, and the black and red flames quickly spread, directly engulfing the group of Griffon Knights. The scattered sparks of fire were like blooming fireworks.

Some Knights raised their large shields.

As the Griffin Knight Captain gritted his teeth and crushed another magic scroll, the fourth-circle spell Shield of Faith combined with the fourth-circle spell Anti-Dragon Aura, surprisingly resulted in no casualties.

Just as they were preparing to fight to the death.

They heard Caesar say lazily, "Daring to step into a Dragon's territory, this is your lesson. Leave behind a sufficient price and you can scram!"

This Griffon squad looked extremely wealthy.

This could be seen from the fact that his fourth-circle spell failed to wipe out the entire group. They had trump cards, but not many, otherwise they would have already fought him.

Shameless!

This evil Red Dragon probably intended to wipe out everyone from the moment it appeared!

It only changed its tune because it didn't succeed!

The Griffin Knight Captain gritted his teeth in hatred, but he had no way to deal with this hateful evil Dragon. With extreme pain, he left behind ten gems.

Crystals, agates, jade... none of them had any magic power, but they were priceless items.

Dragons loved treasure the most.

On the surface, Caesar maintained the pride and aloofness of a Dragon, but in his heart, he was overjoyed. As a Dragon, he yearned for treasure, and this was the first time he had obtained his own treasure.

In the Red Dragon's lair.

Caesar had also seen it, a dazzling array of treasures, but that hateful Red Dragon wasn't even willing to give him a single gem, not even when he acted spoiled, rolled around, and tried to be cute!

Sooner or later, he would take back all the treasures that belonged to him!

This was the dream of the young Dragon Caesar.

Seeing Caesar reveal a slightly satisfied expression, the Griffin Knight Captain also breathed a sigh of relief. Although Duke Zijin had already gained control of most of the Silver Moon Kingdom's forces and was not afraid of a juvenile Red Dragon, slaying a Dragon was not a simple matter. And if they failed to kill the opponent, Duke Zijin would eventually be finished.

He gave a signal.

A Griffon Knight landed on the ground, intending to take Princess Diana away, but unexpectedly, Caesar suddenly unleashed a breath of Dragon fire, instantly incinerating the lower-level warrior along with his Griffon.

"You!"

The Griffin Knight Captain was enraged. He had underestimated the evil of the Red Dragon. He had learned about the Red Dragon's notorious reputation from books and other people's accounts, but he hadn't expected the opponent to lack even basic integrity. This completely shattered his understanding of evil Dragons.

Caesar said impatiently, "This girl is in my territory, she is already my property. Before I get angry, get lost!"

As an evil Dragon.

Being willing to explain a few words was, in his opinion, already a form of mercy.

In his past life's memories, Caesar had seen an animated series that featured an evil Dragon named Sheng Long, who had a classic quote: "As everyone knows, I never keep promises!"

This was simply a model evil Dragon!

"Good, good, good!"

The Griffin Knight Captain no longer restrained himself. He said angrily, "Evil Red Dragon, your shameless actions will sooner or later be avenged by our Duke Zijin!"

He angrily left behind a harsh threat.

Just as he was about to lead the Griffon Knights behind him away from here to report the situation to Duke Zijin, he unexpectedly encountered another incident.

A giant Qing Yu Eagle blocked their retreat.

Its claws and talons were sharp, and its green-tinged red feathers were like an incredibly tough armor. Some parts were even inlaid with red Dragon scales. In addition to the strong wind, there were also flames emanating from it, making it look incredibly powerful.

Its size had reached sixteen meters.

This was undoubtedly a very powerful magical creature. After the Dragon Vein Transformation, its combat power might even be stronger than Caesar's current power. Even a young Dragon might not be its match.

"Threatening me?"

"Threatening the great Lord Caesar? Humans, I've changed my mind again. I want your treasures, and your lives, from now on, no longer belong to yourselves!"

Seeing that the Qing Yu Eagle had completely finished its Dragon Vein Evolution.

Caesar also stopped pretending.

He grinned viciously at the group of Griffon squads who had delivered themselves to him. He had already planned to eliminate them. Each of them looked rich and powerful, so how could they not attract the covetousness of a greedy Dragon? The delay was just to prevent the other party from escaping immediately. With the Dragon Vein Qing Yu Eagle blocking their retreat, their chance of survival was now infinitely close to zero, with little chance of turning the tables.

Without any surprise.

The Griffon squad was caught in a pincer attack, and not a single one managed to escape. Only the Griffin Knight Captain, a mid-level warrior, struggled for a while, but was eventually eliminated.

The power of Dragons.

It was well known, and it was also the reason they were unwilling to initiate a battle.

Even at the same level, a group of Humans was no match for a Dragon. To describe it in terms of a game from his previous life, it was like the quality difference between a one-cost card and a five-cost card.

This was a difference in life level.

Indestructible Dragon scales, terrifying Dragon Might, destructive Dragon breath, and incredibly outstanding magical talent and top-tier physical talent... Standing at the pinnacle of creatures, Dragons completely surpassed Humans. Unless Humans had extremely powerful magical equipment or special top-tier professions, they would have a chance to contend with Dragons. This was the understanding across the entire continent.
