Chapter 136 - Essence Replication and the Family's Evolution

The Christmas holidays started on the twentieth of December and students were given a choice. If they wished to attend the ball they would have to stay in the school for the holidays and if they wished to spend time with their families they would not be able to attend the ball.

Most students accepted this as there was no way for them to go to their homes and come back on Christmas Eve and attend the ball.

However, Aaric was a little different.

Aaric teleported to his house on the day the holidays started and was greeted warmly by his parents.

"Aw, you are getting cuter and cuter by the day. I bet you got a lot of girls asking you for the ball," Edwina doted on him and gave him kisses on his cheek when he appeared.

Chaya was also getting lots of kisses and love.

Aaric was not even a little bit embarrassed and did not try to push her away.

Elder Huo and Simon just waited for their turns patiently while Edwina doted on Aaric.

After a long long time Edwina separated from Aaric. Allowing Simon to give him a hug and a pat on the back.

"You look stronger. You will grow up to be a heartthrob just like your dad here," Simon said with a laugh.

They had met in the dreamlands recently and even then they were acting as if they last met months ago which did not bother Aaric and he just basked in the love.

"I will ready the sofas for you to have a comfortable sleep," Edwina whispered to Simon sweetly as he stepped back.

Elder Huo patted Aaric's head. "You made me proud, disciple," the old man said with a smile.

Aaric then spent his time telling them about how he was doing with his studies and school.

He had an AI in his head to help with his studies so he was not really worried.

"Oh, that reminds me," Aaric said and took out a whole lot of skill scrolls from his pouch.

"I have lots of gifts for you," Aaric said and snapped his fingers.

The space they were in was isolated with them still sitting on their seats.

The isolated space was pitch black and somehow filled with a lot of magical energy.

"These are skill scrolls. Most of them are no use to us. But they can help us with the management and control of the powers we already have," Aaric started explaining what the scrolls did and how he obtained them.

"I had no idea how powerful we are before I used these scrolls. We have the blood of the gods after all," Aaric concluded after explaining what he did in the Tensura world.

"Can't we just train and find out all these powers ourselves?" Simon mentioned with a shrug.

"We can. But have you even thought that your words can literally change the laws of the whole universe if you wish?" Aaric asked Simon with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, you can. So can Mum and me. But we never thought we could do it and that limited us," Aaric said after he saw Simon shake his head.

"Dad, I understand you wish to train and earn the powers you get. But we are worthy of it in the eyes of the gods who gave us these powers and you can always train more even at the top," Aaric added firmly.

Simon looked around at the space they were in, the space Aaric had formed with a snap of his fingers before looking at Aaric and nodded with a smile.

"Elder Huo I," Aaric started. He wished to give the Elder a scale of Vasuki so he could be chosen by a god as well but the Elder interrupted him.

"I have met some good gods in the dreamrealms last I was there. Let us see what I can earn for myself first," Elder Huo said gently and Aaric nodded before the scrolls started floating in front of them.

They integrated the Observer and the Sage skill first allowing it to form the Insight Architect skill.

Aaric had formed a magic circle with the seven orbs containing the Lesser Daemons in all directions to facilitate the energy required for the skills to form.

He was using his own magic energy to replenish the reserves of the Daemons just as their energies were being taken.

He did not use his own energy because when the signatures of the energies of the seven colored Daemons converged it formed a very pure and malleable form of energy that helped with the skill integration.

The Daemons in the spheres were in a suspended state so they did not feel anything and even benefited from the experience.

Aaric then used the Necronomicon and Immortality Ultimate skill scrolls to give them the Ultimate Skills they required.

Edwina acquired the same skill as Aaric himself because they both had the blood of Vasuki in them.

Simon gained the Ultimate Skill Celestial Vahana Flow of the Deep.

Simon and Edwina's Ultimate Skills were on the level of Aaric's just without the ritual talent he had.

They used the second skill Immortality for information and it did not help them much as it did not do much for Aaric as well.

Elder Huo was a different case however.

Elder Huo influenced the formation of his Ultimate Skill by his wishes and helped in formation of the Ultimate Skill: Sage of Transmutation, Grand Alchemist.

It was a skill on the level of Raphael that Rimuru had and was more geared towards alchemy and potion making and absolute transmutation.

He used the Ultimate Skill Immortality to gain the sub skill Essence Replication.

The sub skill allowed for the complete regeneration of his body and healing of any wound he may sustain.

It did not take Edwina and Simon much time to get used to their skills and new powers.

Just like Aaric they had also gained awareness of the sea of divine energy within them that had the power to command reality and reshape it according to their wishes.

They now understood they were now beyond even the level of the gods of the material realms because those gods had limits on their powers and authorities based on the creator of the universe they were formed in or the ruler of their pantheon on the material realm.

Aaric and the family did not have any such limitations or authorities over them and could do as they wished.

They could make or unmake worlds and universes on their whims and make the infinite material dance on their fingers.

After the skill gaining was done Aaric dispelled the isolated realm and they appeared in their mansion again.

Elder Huo was still sitting on his chair finding out about his new skills still in a trance.

The energy and space around Elder Huo changed and curved as different phenomenon happened all around him.

Water flowed around him changing colors and states as it moved.

Fire formed around him going from scorching hot to freezing cold in a matter of seconds. He was manipulating fire to burn and even to freeze.

Space bent around him. Lightning flashed and Aaric made sure no damage was done to anything in the area.

"It seems he is testing the limits of matter to see how it works," Aaric muttered and his parents nodded as they observed the same thing.

Elder Huo's skill was doing as Aaric had just said.

The skill was manipulating space and matter to its limits so it could gain all information it wanted and help with anything Elder Huo would want.

Elder Huo opened his eyes after a moment and let out a breath.

His understanding towards the universe around him had transformed into something completely above most mortals. He even looked a little younger.

"Well. I never thought existence could feel this fragile in my hands," the old man muttered and chuckled with a shake of his head.

"I am sorry about that. I did not do that on purpose," Elder Huo added and tried to bow in apology but Simon did not let him.

"It's fine. No harm done," Simon said holding the old man's shoulders to stop him from bowing.

"Thank you, disciple," Elder Huo said sincerely and patted Aaric's head like a grandfather.

For Elder Huo comprehension of the universe was what he strives for and in his culture the more you comprehend the closer you are to true enlightenment.

So Elder Huo was profoundly thankful towards Aaric for giving him such knowledge and comprehension.

Elder Huo had not even given voice to his skill and did not allow it to talk to him like an AI.

He used it like an upgrade to his mind as an added body part.

"You are welcome. I will always do what I can for you," Aaric said with a smile getting a chuckle from the old man as he gazed at the family he had gained in Aaric, Simon and Edwina.

Aaric then took out some ingots of a new metal he had made.

He had used the Orichalcum he had gotten from the Tensura world and had even added gold to Magisteel to make more of it.

He had then bathed the metal with the energies of all seven Daemon signatures forming a new metal he called Septem Orichalcum.

The metal looked golden but darker. More stronger than gold with less luster and more power.

"Dad can you give me your sword? I can have it reforged with this metal," Aaric said showing Simon the new metal.

Simon shrugged and gave Aaric his sword and he stored it in his pouch.

"Well I think I have stalled enough. I have one more thing to tell you all," Aaric said and took a deep breath.

"I am with Luna and Daphne and I love them both and they love me," Aaric said and held his breath, more worried about his mom's reaction.

"Well yeah. We have eyes," Simon said with a shrug and surprisingly Edwina shrugged as well.

"I raised you son. And any girl will be lucky to have your love. I know you will cherish them," Edwina said and kissed his forehead.

She then went to the kitchen to help Nibbin with the dinner as she wanted to help make food for Aaric.

Elder Huo shrugged it off as well and picked up a parchment and quill to write a letter to someone.

Aaric stood dumbfounded for a moment before going to his room stiffly to process what had just happened.
