Chapter 93 - Nesiamun

The car crashed into the earth and exploded into a mass of fire that lit up the world. The surrounding trees burned, and the earth around the incident melted. At this point, the figure that had suddenly attacked without Cate's notice appeared. She stood over twenty feet tall and was covered in grey fur from head to toe. They had a wolf-like head, limbs, and ears. Their eyes glowed with a yellow light that was clearly noticeable even though the sun was shining brightly. Their figure was sleek with a feminine charm that was through the roof. Their claws were black, long, thick, and curved.

The female werewolf looked over the burning wreck with her eyes filled with rage that would not soon dissipate. "Grrrrrr," she growled when she felt a new arrival. The vampire that had been moving through the shadows finally showed himself. The moment he appeared in the real world, the sun was suddenly covered by dark clouds that blotted out its light for tens of miles. The stronger the vampire, the more the mother earth rejected them. This was seen in how new vampires were not affected by the sun at all, but as they grew older and more powerful, the sun became a real problem, and when they were thousands of years old, a second in the sun meant death by fire.

There was no escape. Still, these ancient vampires had access to many powerful magical skills, one of which was to manipulate the weather. Not all of them had this ability, but those that did easily blotted out the sun and lived in the darkness of the clouds. The werewolf looked at the vampire, and the vampire looked at the werewolf. These two were ancient enemies with a hatred so deep that it was embedded in their blood and marrow. It was clear that they both wanted Cate dead, but they also wanted to kill each other right from the moment they laid eyes on the other. This was inevitable for these two.

At this moment, a piece of the burning car was sent flying, almost beheading the vampire. The two supernatural creatures looked at the car and saw a fair hand rising from the fire. Cage stood up and walked out of the terrible blaze. She was completely naked, showing her perfect body to the world. At this moment, it was as though all else became dull, and only she was left in this world. The vampire and the werewolf who had come to kill her were all stunned into disbelief at what they were seeing.

Cate was truly beautiful. It was as though this was her curse. In her past life as Medusa, her beauty had brought her attention from the gods. It was this same attention that led to her downfall. In this life as well, Cate held a beauty that could bring down nations and plunge gods and goddesses into sin. Cate did not care that she was naked. She looked at the vampire and the wolf. From how they were looking at her body, she understood that these two were already lost. "Can you tell me why you want to kill me?" Cate asked, and these words pulled the creatures back to their senses.

The vampire looked away from Cate and made sure not to look at her again. "Is this some kind of magic?" he wondered. The werewolf, on the other hand, did not look away and instead took a closer look at Cate, almost burning a hole through her. The vampire managed to calm down and gather the rage and bloodlust he had come with. "I am Nesiamun. Your parents, Ilarion and Smaranda, captured my wife, Nesutekh, and sacrificed her to the evil god, the Arch-Fiend Apophis. They sacrificed her alive. Her screams as she was enveloped by the black flames of Isfet filled the world. Since the parents are long dead, it is only right that you, as their daughter, pay for their sin. I will capture you and sacrifice you to the great god Amun. This is a punishment that fits the crime."

Cate looked at the man for a few seconds without saying anything. Nesiamun was black with features almost appearing to have been carved out of basalt. His sharp jaw, firm gaze, and long dreads gave him the appearance of an ancient and noble ruler. He was seven feet tall and had a fit, muscular body. The white suit he wore fit his body perfectly, giving him a modern elegance. In short, the man was truly handsome, with an attractiveness that had Cate's heart doing weird things. The werewolf still stood in place without doing anything.

"I am indeed the daughter of those two dark sorcerers, but surely I cannot be held for their crimes. Even if you are firm in your belief that the sins of the parent must be borne by the child, isn't death too much punishment for the innocent child?" Nesiamun's eyes glowed slightly at these words. "If I had found you to be an innocent young woman as you claim, I would indeed have left you alone, but this is not the case. I smell the blood of hundreds on you. On top of this, you are surrounded by the screams of your many victims. Most supernaturals would never see this, but I am different. I have been blessed by the great god Amun. I see right through the many sins you have committed. You can never be related to the word innocent."

Cate was taken aback at these words. She looked at herself, trying to see the sin Nesiamun was talking about. She could also not hear anything resembling the screams of her victims. "Even if I have killed some people, who are you to judge my actions as evil? There are many reasons to kill people, and some of these reasons are more than good enough." Nesiamun seemed frustrated with Cate's lack of understanding. "I have the ability to see through the cause and effect of each death. I can clearly see that most of the people you killed were innocents who had nothing to do with you. You are a truly evil woman that deserves death. I shall deliver this death."
