Abyss That Speaks the Truth
In the depths of the charcoal abyss, the silence is heavy—like it's waiting to breathe. Shadows settle. The chaos has calmed.
Sang stands, his eyes steady but searching. The air carries a weightless calm, and his voice cuts gently through it.
Sang says,
"So... your name is Keyokthai, right?"
A serpentine hiss echoes through the darkness. The towering presence answers with a tone as casual as it is ancient.
Keyokthai, with a tone of casuality,
"That is what I said."
Sang nods slowly. One final question burns in his thoughts, and he throws it forward like a spark.
Sang, questioning keyokthai ,
"You said no one remembers what I do when I use it. Not even me. Then why do Zoick and Rakhad remember? And Eldrin, Rohdan…"
Before he finishes, Keyokthai cuts in.
Keyokthai, casually says,
"They do. Everyone close to you… they'll remember. All of it."
Sang's eyes widen slightly. A realization flickers across his face like the glint of a long-lost truth. Then, almost awkwardly, he extends a hand—not physically, but through his name.
Sang, nods his hand and by joining his hand and bows and says,
"Well... hello. Let me introduce myself properly. I'm Sang Jaey."
But the mood shifts. Keyokthai's expression darkens, voice low and unsettling.
Keyokthai, in confused ,
"Why did you change your name?"
Sang.completely thrown and lost what the eyes widened says,
"What? What are you talking about? I didn't change anything! I've had this name since I was born in this world."
A beat of silence. Then, Keyokthai speaks with quiet finality.
Keyokthai, in furious,
"No. You had another name. And you were never born in this world."
Sang, stepping back in disbelief, tone sharp and in mockingly says,
"Oh, come on! Now you're changing my name and my birthplace? Fine then. Tell me—what's my name? Where am I from?"
Keyokthai's voice becomes still—calm like the edge of a blade before the cut.
Keyokthai, in same furious says,
"Your name is Shammroy. And you're from the planet Jatin."
The words crash into Sang like a thunderclap. His breath catches. His memory jolts—
That name…
Whispered once, unknowingly, outside the Zius Palace.
Keyokthai steps forward, voice now laced with something between prophecy and truth.
Keyokthai, calm and tells,
"You realize it now, don't you? That whisper wasn't random. It was your true name, buried deep in your subconscious. Focus. Dig into your mind. You'll find the rest—your real memories."
For the first time, Sang doesn't resist. He believes him.
He closes his eyes and concentrates, letting the silence seep into him.
Keyokthai, with a faint smile whispers,
"You're doing the same thing you did the first time we met. But this time… you're not surprised."
Sang suddenly snaps, breaking concentration.
Sang. Got irritated and yells at keyokthai,
"If you keep talking like that, how the hell am I supposed to concentrate?!"
Keyokthai smirks—a brief flash of amusement in the abyss.
Keyokthai. Chuckles and says,
"Sorry."
Sang exhales, refocusing.
Darkness closes in around his thoughts. Then… flickers.
Two faces… blurred but smiling.
Laughter. A circle of people around a glowing campfire.
A voice echoes from within the vision—but it's distant. Inaudible.
The memories… are coming.
In the Shadows of PowerIn the grand halls of Kaelthor Empire, where silence dances between ancient shelves, Kaelthor and Varnak stand surrounded by books that breathe history.
The mood is calm—too calm.
Varnak. With a tensed face says,
"Why do you care about him? He's no match for you anymore. Just hearing about him… it'll rot your soul. Leave it, Kaelthor. Rest."
Kaelthor gives a quiet nod, but his eyes linger too long on the pages—like they're holding an answer he doesn't want. With a dissatisfied sigh, he turns and leaves the library.
But Varnak stays behind. Alone.
The silence is colder now. A drop of sweat rolls down his temple. His heartbeat betrays his fear.
He whispers to himself, voice barely audible—meant only for the shadows.
Varnak.In his thoughts barely ,
"Glad… we're safe. Perhaps the cosmic gods will forgive us. We were never his comrades. His name… must remain buried. Forever."
The camera pans back.
Not to Sang. Not to Shammroy.
But to that cave.
The one with the glowing eyes still watching… waiting.
