Chapter 61 - Episode 61: “The Boy Who Breaks Pillars”

The Gathering in Querion's Den

The den is dim and ancient, the rock throne looming in quiet authority.

A million demons in human disguise sit in two endless rows, flanking the throne like silent statues.

Between those rows, on the bare stone floor, Zoick, Rakhad, Querion, and a man sit in a loose circle.

Behind them, Eldrin lies motionless… until now.

The man raises a single brow, his tone casual yet commanding.

Ferin,

"Ok. Let me tell you my name."

Zoick folds his arms, leaning back with a lazy smirk.

Zoick,

"Now you're introducing yourself? That's your timing? Manners aren't really your thing, huh?"

Ferin's lips curl into a faint smile.

Ferin,

"My name is Ferin."

He tilts his head toward Zoick, curiosity in his gaze.

Ferin,

"So… what's your power?"

Zoick shrugs.

Zoick,

"Scientist. Once had a little… 'experiment'. Desire got the better of me. It misfired. Now I'm something beyond limits."

Querion's eyes still in shut , focus to Rakhad.

Querion,

"And you?"

Rakhad smirks lazily. And casually says,

" I am Phoenix Fire Mage."

Querion nods in approval. Behind them, Eldrin groans, coughing as he slowly sits up. Querion chuckles.

Querion,

"Finally awake, huh? Ha… ha…"

Eldrin walks over, settling into the circle. His voice is flat,

"So… you've started talking about him?"

Ferin tilts his head, puzzled.

Ferin,

"I don't know where to start."

Eldrin exhales sharply.

Eldrin,

"Then I'll start… with that one."

The King's Sons

The scene shifts—Eldrin's voice carrying into the past.

We see the grand house of the Second King of the Abyssal Nexus Court.

Eldrin ,voice-over,

"On that day, I stood beside the Second King. Along with Ratnire… and Ziron. We wanted to see how far his five-year-old sons had come."

In a high viewing platform, the Second King watches the ground below—an open arena.

At the far end sits a steaming plate of prawn fried rice—Seyokthai's favorite.

Eldrin,

"Are your sons capable of your dreams?"

Second King,

"Yes. I believe in them."

Ratnire,

"Then let's begin the test."

From the shadows, Seyokthai steps into the arena. His eyes soften instantly at the sight of his beloved dish. He takes one eager step forward—

Ratnire,

"Seyokthai! Don't rush. That arena isn't empty. It's filled with stone traps—indestructible. One hit, and you could die."

Seyokthai smirks, unshaken.

He dashes in—

A massive boulder drops silently from above. He slips past it by a hair.

Next, stone logs swing across his path in rapid succession, each strike deadly. He weaves between them effortlessly.

Hidden pillars shoot upward from the ground—he leaps over them like flowing water.

The Second King's eyes tighten with worry. He rushes down, Eldrin and Ratnire , Ziron at his side.

Seyokthai reaches the dish, evading one last upward strike from a pillar trap.

He picks up the bowl with a grin. And then the second king with worry came and check him if he is okay or not

Seyokthai,

"Dad! I'm fine!"

Ratnire steps forward, curious.

Ratnire,

"What's your ambition, Seyokthai?"

Seyokthai,

"To be King of the Abyssal Nexus. And… Supreme Saviour."

Eldrin nods in respect.

Eldrin: "Ambitious indeed."

The Shammroy Trial

The second King turns.

A small figure steps forward—Shammroy. His fists are clenched, a confident smile on his face.

Ratnire,

"Bold little one."

Second King,

"Let's leave the egg fried rice for him. And we are out ."

By seeing his eyes with a confident, eldrin wants to warn him,

Eldrin,

"Sham—"

But Shammroy doesn't wait.

He charges in, surpassing each trap—boulders, logs, stone pillars—until…

WHAM!

A massive log-pillar combination strikes him hard, sending him sliding back to the start.

The King freezes, sweat beading on his brow. He tries to step forward, but Ratnire blocks him.

Ratnire,

"Don't interfere."

Shammroy runs again. And fails. Again. And fails.

Ziron shakes his head.

Ziron,

"Pointless. He can't do it. I'm leaving."

Hours pass. The boy's body is battered, but he refuses to stop.

The Queen enters. Her eyes widen at the sight of her injured son. She rushes forward—

Second King ,grabbing her arm and says

"Don't go. It's his battle."

Queen ,tearful

"This is too much for him!"

Seyokthai steps forward with unwavering belief.

Seyokthai,

"Don't worry, Dad… Mom… I believe in him. Go, brother!"

The King and Queen blush faintly—touched by the bond between their sons.

Breaking the Pillar

Dawn approaches. Eldrin shakes his head.

Eldrin,

"He hasn't made it once. King, give up on this dream for him."

Seyokthai ,furious

"How dare you talk about my brother like that!"

Eldrin smirks faintly. Speaks,

"Sorry. My mistake."

Shammroy rises again.

Everyone watches—tense.

He slides under the first boulder. Leaps over the swinging logs. Dodges the pillars with perfect timing.

The final obstacle—an indestructible stone pillar—launches at him.

He doesn't evade.

He smashes it to pieces.

Everyone's eyes widen. Eldrin whispers in disbelief.

"That's… impossible."

Shammroy calmly takes his bowl and starts eating.

The Queen runs to him, hugging him so tightly he stops chewing.

Queen , with happy tears,

"I thought I'd lose you."

Shammroy ,deadpan

"Mom… you're stopping me from eating."

She laughs, feeding him herself. Seyokthai runs in, tackling him with a grin.

The King smiles proudly.

Second King,

"He never wanted to escape. He wanted to break that pillar from the start. He wants to destroy anything in his way. And he will become more than I've dreamed."

A Family's Bond

Laughter fills the arena—father, mother, sons together.

The King joins in playfully.

Second King,

"Hey! Let me join too!"

Ratnire and Eldrin , Ziron eventually join, the once-tense ground now alive with warmth.

Later, they sit together. Ratnire turns to Shammroy.

Ratnire,

"What's your ambition?"

Shammroy tilts his head.

Shammroy,

" Ambition? What's ambition?"

Ratnire chuckles, explaining.

Ratnire,

"It's what you want to be in the future."

Shammroy stands, gazing at the open sky. His voice rings with certainty.

Shammroy,

"I will become the Overlord!"

The King, Ratnire, and Eldrin, Ziron freeze—eyes wide in shock.

Shammroy turns back, laughing. His mother and Seyokthai laugh with him.
