Chapter 304 - Chapter 304

Marco's suggestion basically struck a chord with Lucy, and the girl became almost obsessed, spending the following period entirely focused on researching this matter.

Marco wasn't idle either.

He made a special trip to "Blue Pegasus" to find Hibiki Lates.

Marco had always been very interested in this guy's Archieve magic.

Previously, he had even asked Hibiki to investigate his own magic, but naturally, nothing was found.

This shocked Hibiki—how could there be something his Archieve couldn't uncover? This made him respect Marco even more.

It was Marco who had previously enlightened him, helping him accept the reality of his breakup with Karen and encouraging him to share his love with more women.

For this alone, Hibiki felt immensely grateful to Marco.

Otherwise, Karen's death would have dealt him a devastating blow.

Although Hibiki was still deeply affected, he recovered relatively quickly and didn't let it consume him entirely.

Now, all he needed to do was try his best to find Karen's killer and avenge her—this was what a guild companion ought to do.

Marco sought out Hibiki not to discuss "sharing love with all women," but to ask him to search for knowledge related to Celestial Spirit Magic.

Marco had come for Lucy and Hisui's sake.

The research Lucy was conducting could also benefit Hisui, who was also a Celestial Spirit Mage. She could even assist during the research process.

Although Hisui's aptitude in Celestial Spirit Magic was far inferior to Lucy's, having an extra person meant more perspectives and ideas.

"Celestial Spirit Magic..." Hibiki pursed his lips.

When it came to Celestial Spirit Magic, people in Blue Pegasus would naturally think of Karen Lilica.

"There is indeed a lot of knowledge in here."

However, Hibiki quickly adjusted his mindset and earnestly answered Marco's question, delivering some good news.

"There's a lot of ancient knowledge, including an ancient Super Magic called 'Urano Metria.' It's extremely powerful but also incredibly difficult to master."

Hibiki operated his "Computer," retrieving data from the magic database.

This magic was truly extraordinary—practically an encyclopedia.

It was no wonder it was called the magic database; it even contained Super Magic.

Coming to him had definitely been the right choice.

"How powerful is it? And how difficult to master?" Marco asked curiously.

This 'Urano Metria' seemed different from what he had in mind—it sounded more like a trump card, a powerful ultimate move.

"This magic can summon the power of all eighty-eight constellations in the sky, using starlight energy to launch a full-range, locked-on attack on the target. Although I've never seen it, the archieve describe it as terrifying." Hibiki explained.

Although he possessed a treasure trove of knowledge, he couldn't utilize it himself—he didn't know any of these spells.

He was only skilled in using archieve, so he could only vaguely grasp the extent of its power.

"As for the difficulty of this magic... basically, no one can learn it. Unless I use the power of archieve to directly implant this magic into the mind of a Mage with exceptional Celestial Spirit Magic aptitude. As long as they can withstand it and not have their mind overwhelmed by the knowledge, they should be able to learn it. The requirements are just too harsh."

After discussing its power, Hibiki moved on to the difficulty of this magic.

It wasn't something one could learn simply by reading books—it required the most straightforward and brutal method: directly implanting the relevant knowledge into the brain.

Hibiki's magic possessed the ability to link minds and implant magical knowledge.

Using his archieve, he could connect his mind with a designated target's, transmitting thoughts and information directly, much like transferring data files.

Naturally, this ability could also implant magical knowledge, enabling the recipient to learn magic in a short period.

"Isnt this a bit... overpowered?"

To be honest, this was the first time Marco had been genuinely shocked by a magic spell.

In Fairy Tail, he had witnessed plenty of extraordinary magic—even Super Magic being used as casually as basic attacks by someone like Gildarts.

Yet, he was still astonished by this Archieve.

With this Archieve Magic, couldn't one mass-produce Mages? This magic seemed a bit too broken.

"This method is quite violent. It should only be used as a last resort, as it could potentially damage the brain. The more complex the magic being transmitted, the more caution is required."

As if sensing Marco's shock, Hibiki added an explanation, which somewhat eased Marco's astonishment.

"As expected, everything comes at a cost." Marco nodded.

In truth, if one were ruthless enough to disregard all consequences, this magic could still be used to mass-produce Mages.

But the associated risks and success rate made the magic somewhat more reasonable—not entirely overpowered.

"This Urano Metria... it feels like..."

Marco's expression turned peculiar.

He quickly realized something—was this magic specifically designed as a ultimate move for Lucy?

Extremely high aptitude requirements, immense learning difficulty, and great danger—with virtually no one having mastered it before.

Wasn't this the standard cheat skill reserved for the main characters?

Within Fairy Tail, the only one who met the learning conditions was Lucy.

Even Marco's top disciple, Hisui, might not qualify.

When it came to Celestial Spirit Magic, Lucy's talent was absolutely unmatched.

"Is it really that incredible? Still, I wouldn't recommend attempting it. It's too dangerous."

Though surprised, Hibiki advised rationally.

He didn't recommend trying it, as he had no intention of harming his comrades with his own magic.

The potential side effects were too severe—it could even turn someone into a fool. It should never be used unless absolutely necessary.

"Understood. We'll discuss this later. For now, please transmit the other knowledge related to Celestial Spirit Magic to me." Marco nodded.

He had no immediate plans to call Lucy over to test it out.

This magic probably wasn't meant for Lucy in her current state—forcing her growth might only harm her.

"There's no need to transmit everything to you. Only a small portion hasn't been passed down. I can provide you with a detailed booklist—you just need to search for them. Celestial Spirit Magic is quite widespread across the Ishgar continent, and I have access to relevant information here."

Hibiki was very considerate. His personality was genuinely quite good.

It was truly unfortunate that he had to deal with someone as peculiar as Karen before—he really deserved better.

As for Hibiki now becoming a playboy, Marco refused to take the blame for it.

Who would undergo such a drastic personality change just because of someone else's words?

This guy must have confronted his true self—he was always a playboy at heart.

"I'll begin now, Marco-san. Please relax."

Hibiki looked at Marco, signaling that he was about to use Archieve Magic to transmit knowledge and establish a connection with Marco.

"Go ahead."

Marco nodded, his curious gaze fixed on Hibiki Lates as they both watched the light screen, observing Hibiki Lates operating the "keyboard."

After Hibiki Lates finished his operations, two small figures appeared on the light screen—one representing Hibiki and the other Marco.

An arrow moved continuously between them, giving Marco the distinct impression of watching a computer interface.

"Transmission starting." Hibiki spoke, and the Archieve Magic began to glow, activating its function to channel knowledge directly into Marco's mind.

"This..." Marco frowned.

The sensation wasn't unfamiliar to him—every time he received system rewards and unlocked new abilities, he experienced a similar feeling, as if knowledge suddenly flooded into his brain.

The resemblance was striking.

"It might feel slightly uncomfortable, but that's normal."

Noticing Marco's frown, Hibiki spoke up.

He had been monitoring the situation closely; the transmission speed and volume of knowledge should be safe, as he had performed similar operations before.

"It's fine. You can speed it up. I barely feel anything."

Marco smiled, realizing that Hibiki had misunderstood him.

At this level, the process was practically unnoticeable to him.

Urano Metria (ウラノ・メトリア Urano Metoria) is a Celestial Spirit Magic spell.

When the user recites the incantation, the 88 constellations of the sky come down as spheres and bestow their power upon the caster.

This person then aims at their intended target and releases the energy gathered into a tremendous attack.[2] This attack causes severe and brutal damage to its target.
