Sienna stiffened, her heart melting like ice in high heat. She crouched so they were at the same eye level and asked in an incredibly gentle voice, "What do you need?"
The little boy said meekly, "Uncle... I-I need Uncle."
Sienna blinked, a bit hesitant.
She really wanted to avoid going out as much as possible. However, being stared at with such a hopeful gaze made any negative words stick in her throat. She stood up and sighed. "I'll help you look for Uncle, then."
Of course, it wasn't guaranteed she would find him. She would just do what she could and try to explore possible places he might be.
The little boy nodded, letting go of her jacket. "Thank you."
Sienna took a deep breath and nodded helplessly.
"Now, go stay inside. Don't come out at all, okay?" she told him, holding his cheek with both hands until he affirmed with a "Yes."
