A New Day – Tuesday.

After checking on Kurenai's Rasengan progress, Kitazawa headed to the Ninja Academy.

"Kitazawa-senpai!"

Iruka spotted him and quickly jogged over.

"Kitazawa," Mizuki greeted flatly, masking his emotions.

"Morning," Kitazawa nodded. "You two headed to the meeting?"

"Yep," Iruka said with a sigh. "Can't believe I've already been teaching for three months."

"You're just getting started," Kitazawa smiled, teasing, "Who knows—maybe one day you'll be principal."

He wasn't really joking. In the original storyline, Iruka did end up as head of the Academy.

"Oh, no way!" Iruka said, flustered, waving his hands.

Sure, he'd love that role someday, but he knew he wasn't there yet.

"That's a good one," Mizuki chuckled. "Iruka? Principal? I'll eat a kunai if that ever happens."

"Mizuki, don't forget. Saturday, 9 AM at the village gate," Kitazawa reminded, glancing at him.

"Yeah, I know." Mizuki's smile froze. His tone dropped flat.

Inside, though, he was boiling. He wanted to kill Kitazawa right now.

Why did this guy even have to control how Iruka laughs?

Kitazawa, that damn buzzkill, always ruining everything.

"What are you guys up to?" Iruka asked, genuinely interested. "I'm free on Saturday. Need a hand?"

"No thanks," Mizuki replied instantly. "It's between me and Kitazawa."

With Iruka around, it'd be way harder to pull off the murder.

"Next time, for sure." Kitazawa patted Iruka's shoulder.

"You guys…" Iruka started to ask, but Kitazawa cut him off.

"Principal's here. Let's get to the meeting room."

He had just spotted Sarutobi Hisao in the distance.

Iruka held back his curiosity and followed.

8:30 AM.

All teachers across the Academy's six grade levels were seated—conference room packed.

"Before we begin," Sarutobi Hisao stood up, "I have an announcement from the principal."

The principal, officially, is the Third Hokage—Sarutobi Hiruzen. But when he's working at the Academy, he's referred to by title.

"The principal has decided to appoint Kitazawa as the new Head of Academic Affairs."

"What?!"

Mizuki shot up from his seat, face darkening. "Why?!"

He'd figured Kitazawa might climb up, but not this fast. It was too much.

"That's the principal's order," Hisao said calmly. "If you want answers, take it up with him."

Mizuki collapsed back into his seat, looking crushed.

Iruka had wanted to congratulate Kitazawa, but seeing Mizuki like that, he swallowed his words.

Still, deep down, he felt awe—and ambition.

One day, maybe he could earn a promotion like that and get recognized by the Hokage too.

"From now on, Kitazawa will chair the monthly exam meetings," Hisao continued. "Starting today."

"Got it," Kitazawa replied, standing and walking to the podium.

"Take a seat," Hisao gestured.

"Thanks, Principal."

Kitazawa sat down, cleared his throat, and opened the meeting.

It was his first time leading one, but he'd sat through enough to know how it went.

Worst case, Hisao was right there to step in.

The meeting had two main items:

1. Teachers submit questions based on their lesson progress.

2. Those questions are collected and turned into the written test—previously selected by Hisao, now by Kitazawa.

For Kitazawa, this was perfect. It helped him work toward his own goals and ace his rankings.

Luckily, he didn't have to take the June exam. His focus was on July—the final exams.

"Meeting adjourned," he said, wrapping up.

"Not bad," Hisao said, grinning. "For a first-timer, you ran it like a pro."

"I was just following your lead," Kitazawa replied. "You've been setting the example."

"Haha," Hisao laughed. "Anything you need, don't hesitate to ask."

"Appreciate it."

After Hisao left, the other teachers surrounded Kitazawa—offering congrats, hoping to get on his good side.

Only Mizuki stood still, feeling like the world had turned against him.

The party wasn't for him.

Even Iruka, his old buddy, had joined the crowd to celebrate the "new king."

Mizuki clenched his fists.

For the first time, he was genuinely looking forward to Saturday.

He stormed out. Let Kitazawa gloat for now—he had just one week left to live.

Mizuki was already planning how to take him out.

To be safe, he'd hire two rogue chunin. When the job was done, the blame would fall on them.

9:00 AM.

Kitazawa let out a breath.

These teachers were way too enthusiastic—it was overwhelming.

And it reminded him of the downside of being too nice.

No wonder the Uchiha were always cold-faced—nobody dared to bother them.

"Time for class."

Kitazawa stepped into Class 1‑A.

A glance around—no Sasuke, Sakura, Hinata, Shikamaru, or Ino.

He had already sent a shadow clone to take them to the artificial lake for special training.

They'd still get their theoretical grades, so… no big deal.

Special students deserved special treatment—tailored instruction and all that.

"Class dismissed."

Teaching was smooth. He wrapped up the lesson quickly and walked to the door—then paused.

"Naruto, come here."

"Yes, Sensei!"

Naruto ran over, eyes lighting up. "Are you gonna teach me a new jutsu?!"

Obviously, the Shadow Clone Jutsu had changed his life.

Ever since learning it, he felt way stronger.

"You sure you still have energy for more jutsu?" Kitazawa chuckled. "Just focus on taijutsu with Guy."

Because of the Nine-Tails' interference, Naruto took way longer than students like Sasuke to learn anything—sometimes ten times as long. It just wasn't efficient.

Unless it was a super-simple, brute-force move like Multi Shadow Clone or Rasengan.

And Might Guy's training? Pure hell. He trained like a lunatic 24/7.

"Okay," Naruto scratched his head. "So why'd you call me then?"

"How's your Konoha-style taijutsu coming along?" Kitazawa asked.

"Pretty much got it down," Naruto replied. "Guy-sensei taught me a bunch of moves just like it."

Kitazawa nodded thoughtfully.

Yeah, that tracked. The Konoha Whirlwind series probably evolved from the basic Konoha-style—just a powered-up version.

"With where you're at now, you don't need to keep doing standard combat class," Kitazawa said. "Instead, come find me at the lake. I'll run you through special training."

"Seriously?! Awesome!"

Naruto practically bounced. "I've always wanted to train with you!"

He'd been jealous of Sasuke and Hinata getting to skip class to train.

He still couldn't skip classes, but at least now he could train alongside them.

Kitazawa laughed under his breath.

Only Naruto could get this hyped about more work.

If it were Shikamaru? He'd vanish the second he heard the word "training."

"One class period's too short," Kitazawa said. "So after lunch, head straight to the lake."

"Got it!"

Naruto didn't complain at all—in fact, he looked excited.

"Alright, get back to class," Kitazawa said, patting his shoulder and turning to leave.

He wasn't heading to the training ground to check on the others—he was going to the Hokage Tower's Mission Hall.

Simple goal: take on a mission he could do with Mizuki on Saturday.

The Mission Hall was bustling even in the morning.

Kitazawa glanced over the wall of mission listings—sorted by rank.

He filtered straight to B-rank.

Sure, he could take on A-rank as a Special Jōnin, but it wasn't worth the hassle.

He wasn't doing this for money, after all.

He skimmed through the listings one by one.

Then he saw it: Bandit Suppression – At xxx Mountain.

Apparently a group of bandits had taken over the mountain and were robbing travelers.

He chose it for a very simple reason—one of his students was from a nearby city.

Now he had an excuse: "I'm protecting my student's route home."

Sure, that student only went home once a month and lived in Konoha most of the time—but still.

"Hi, I'd like to take the xxx Mountain mission," he said at the counter.

"How many in your team? What's your rank?" the clerk asked.

"Two people. One Special Jōnin, one Chūnin."

"Alright, that qualifies," the clerk said, nodding. "Though we recommend a third member for safety."

"No need. We've got it covered."

The clerk didn't press the issue and handed him a mission slip.

"Thanks."

Kitazawa took the slip, smiling to himself.

This whole process really did feel like he was playing some kind of open-world RPG.
