Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 The Fourth,The Fifth and The Start

Ray hurriedly clasped his hands in respect and greeted the woman 'Greetings Senior ', he said as he looked at the woman in respect. To say the least this female phoenix was beautiful and charming more charming than the other femme fatales like Naina. Her beauty was beyond what human words could convey and was beyond what he had ever seen. Her hair cascaded down her shoulders making her appear more beautiful and charming. 'Oh what am l thinking about.' Because Ray did not understand the ancient of ancients, rune language, he did not know what it meant but based on his mind he thought that he knew what was about to happen in this cave and could not help but blush because of his perveted mindset. There were candles in this place that were a source of light in the room and these candles were uniquely shaped because they were made in the shape of a phoenix making it more pleasant and romantic. 'My name is Sylvia and l am known as The Oracle and my job is to ask you questions that you must answer. All of them are to be answered and none of them are to be failed . If you fail one, you fail all do you understand', she told him with a smile plastered on her face and he nodded like a mute person as his mouth salivated at the figure of the woman. The trial should have been about this woman not some random questions he thought as he looked at her figure before looking downwards. 'So are you ready?', she asked without any disdain on her face making him like her very much. He smiled and said 'Bring it on Senior'. (Oh she will)

She smiled before telling him 'For every lesson there is a thirty seconds to give an answer to each question and failure to give an answer to any is disqualification and after that removal from the world of the living, fantasy and even of the dead because you will be condemned', she said to which he nodded. 'What is wrong with these people and getting people erased from reality'. 'Maybe it was part of the so called depopulation agenda', he nodded as he agreed to this thought. The lmmortal Golden Phoenix was truly a wise being who was worthy to be revered because his plan was working so he could not help but give him a round of applause.

'Are you ready to participate in the fourth trial ….. lntruder', she asked him with a smile that would make one's heart stop beating and leave one exasperated. Ray hearing this almost felt like shouting 'l have a name and it's Ray Nagisaki but he let it go pretending to be the gentleman he was not. 'Question one, two, three, four and five came and he answered them. Every time he was asked a question by the oracle he would see that the beautiful golden sand in the hour glass would start dropping and every time the luminous golden sand touched the surface of the glass' his heart beat furiously as the tension rose up. Every question was difficult and would contain mystical components within it that would play a significant role when he gave the answer to every question that he was asked by the wise and beautiful woman. lt felt like his soul was being put so much pressure upon and every second he spent thinking about the answer he should give to a specific question the more it was exerted making him not only breathless but making the school uniform he was wearing soak in a foul stench called sweat because of the perspiration and the pressure that was exerted on him. Now he was on question number six and he was still on. He discovered that this trial was all about his mental fortitude, he was supposed to show what level of intelligence he possessed which was a success according to him. The woman looked at him with her beautiful amber eyes that were like fire-flies shedding their beautiful light in the evening acting as a source of light looking at him with a satisfied look written in her very wonderful eyes. She was surprised by him greatly. lt made her both a little sad and a little happy that she had found another who might be the one but if he was not it was a shame because she might have to wait for thousands or millions of years before another one came so she just hoped that he would be the one to possess the inheritance. Thinking about all this she looked at the blushing Ray who was looking sideways and pretending not knowing that he was being looked at by her. 'What a shy fellow', she thought. 'What is it that still persists when times are hard and unless it is diminished by an individual or beast it remains unconquered for eternity', she asked another riddle. The hour glass started to do what it was supposed to do and that was to act as a clock that was determined to ring after thirty seconds but the difference in this case is that the pressure would exert itself more powerfully on the person and if one did not answer that his soul would be destroyed and his spirit would be cursed and be trapped in the void because of erasure or it would be in the void, either way the difference was the same. With every second it exerted itself and only when it was left with ten seconds did he say the four letters which are h-o-p-e'. 'The answer is hope ', he exclaimed. All of this time he had been thinking about what was such a thing that would be like that and in the end before he said anything he knew what the heck he was supposed to say and he knew that it was not just a concept and it was not just a principle, neither was it just a law nor was it a mere word clothed in the ordinary rendering of it but it was the way, the very way of living the life of a victor. Hearing this she was impressed and a delighted expression showed on her face. She asked another question after removing her warm and jubilant expression and was left with an expressionless face instead. 'What is it that is profane, what is it that makes the majestic heaven, the glorious earth and the tempestuous seas that roar with pride lose their colour of beauty? What is it that brings darkness and is instead of good, tenebrous and instead of being in a state of sanctity is cantankerous and vile in all its fullness, more vile than the stench of death itself', she asked a question yet again. This question rendered him powerless, that is it caught him off guard more than any of the others and it made him panic stricken. Seconds passed by and with every drop of sand down the clock, kissing the surface of the beautifully translucent glass that was pure in nature no matter how much you would try to convey it in words. 'Darkness, sanctity what is it', he thought to himself for some time before he opened his mouth ajar and said the word 'corruption.'
