Chapter 91 - Brutality: Part 2:

Author's Note: I am not an editor or a professional writer. I will write this and edit it to the best of my ability. I also do not own Uma Musume, which is owned by Cygames. Watch the animes and read the mangas, for they are pretty good. Finally, please enjoy.

Arthur Crownly POV:

I arrived in the meeting room where multiple Zoom calls were connected, along with many members showing up for the meeting. They were all informed beforehand and now know that the NRL and their allies have declared war live on broadcast. Some were worried, others were calmly contemplating the situation, but all were pissed off. Shigeyuki asked me if I was okay and was actually worried about me over everything. That's why this man is my best friend and no one else.

Halo was pissed with my wife, Duplicit, wanting to attack back with violence. I told them all to calm down, and soon they did. We discussed the league and how our investment in the Broncos was already paying off. This made the investors happy and silenced the doubters. Soon, we were coming up with plans to prevent what happened here today from happening again and how to strike back at them.

That's when my assistant Yuna barged in, saying," Sir, another incident exploded in the tournament, this time mentioning you." Everyone screamed," What!!" Soon, the event in question played on screen. It was the sixth race and the race with Crimson in it. The race was a blowout, and nothing seemed to have happened yet.

Then the interview happened, and everyone soon became speechless at what she said. It seems Crimson is upset at the lack of competition, mentioning the words I said earlier in her grievances. I did not expect what I said to her earlier to make her feel better to bite me in the ass so soon. Yuna explained how they're clowning on me online and how this makes the other teams in comparison to the Broncos look weak. Also, people are crying favoritism and other bullshit.

Still, this gives me an idea. One to deal with the problem directly, another to strengthen our teams, and another to cover for our team's weaknesses. I looked at my allies arguing about what to do. That's when I told them," All of you shut up; I have a solution that will help everybody." They finally began to listen, and I told them," First, we're going to use this incident to our advantage as well as the declaration of war by the NRL."

I then explained," First thing we're going to do is we're going to allow teams to rearrange and change their rosters after New Year's to strengthen their teams. Also, teams can now replay players if a suspended or injured player chooses them as their replacement. All trades will be approved by us, making sure all the teams can't just ransack each other, and we can make sure all teams become stronger during this period. We will also allow teams to practice together and help each other. This will help our teams become stronger and fight against the NRA, which we admit has great players, but terrible ownership."

I then tell them, "We will also secretly hunt down spies in the league and heighten security. Then we add in rules if there's an incident or starting next season if there's not. This will protect our players, staff, and more from saboteurs coming into our league. Blue and Violet will be in charge of that while Yellow and Dark will begin hunting our enemies in the underworld and their allies involved in this incident. Now raise your hand if you agree to these ideas."

Almost everyone agreed, but some were confused, so one raised his hand and asked," How will this affect the investment we made on the Broncos. At least they're not just blindly following me, so I explain to them," Nothing, the Broncos get along so well they will stick together knowing them and welcome the challenge with open arms and excitement. They did start this conversation with their live hissy fit, and now they can't complain if we grant their wish." They laughed, and soon everyone agreed to it all. Soon everything began.

The captured assailants are being treated harshly as instructed before questioning in a special location. Duplicit began preparing the assault team, while Halo was investigating all the data needed for it. Shigeyuki is now informing proper channels, while Yuna is preparing all staff and supplies in the background. Soon, every registered team and every organization tied to us will be informed of our decisions. Then every media outlet and soon everyone else.

Private Investigator

Private Investigator Yukino here, and at the moment I'm investigating a story about a missing former idol. She used to work for a company that was in direct control of the Gold Family Mafia. She was a top star in the company with many jealous rivals. Suddenly, one day, she disappeared.

I was a big fan of hers, and she inspired me when I was in a dark place in my life. That's why it affected me when she suddenly disappeared one day. She was one of the Gold Family's deleted victims. Informants have told me she found too much and was added to a list of those assigned to be erased from society. They were all usually Uma Musume, and the entire species is incredibly protected by the goddesses themselves. Receiving great power and fortune to protect them.

That's why they say the Gold Family created a special way to kill and dispose of them. Usually involving erasing their entire existence. That's why it's hard for anyone to post anything online about them. I talked to a few people she knew and found out she learned too much about the company and was sent to a certain place before she disappeared. Now, no one knew where Tactical Gray was.

Her family, being helpless, asked me to search for her and bring a fan, and now having a reason to look into the underworld, I did it for scraps. Still, all the people that went missing and had ties to the Gold Family Mafia have their missing posters on law enforcement boards from local police stations to Interpol. Still, the power of the underworld makes searching for them a low-effort deal. I had trouble finding clues anymore, but soon something caught my eye. Bank accounts from 15 different identities that didn't exist before now showed up out of nowhere.

It was done in a way no authorities or regular people would notice, but I, who is a master of technology and programming, immediately detected it. I created this program to locate anyone hiding and trying to avoid trouble using secret identities. I found so many missing people and runaway criminals this way, even those infiltrating the country. I haven't been caught yet with this cause I use other clues to launch my trigger, and they never notice the real weapon. I looked at the files, and boom, immediate matches with 15 missing people.

My secret weapon does it again. Now I try to follow this lead, but every time I do, something bad happens. First I get sick and am down for a week. Then the clients of other cases I took get impatient, and for 2 months I'm busy solving those. Then I have to deal with my finances and businesses.

Finally, after that, I get injured and am out for months. Like what the fuck is my luck lately? Then after getting back to the office and having nothing else to investigate, I reluctantly do the case. I see the accounts are now protected and have been changed. I sigh in failure; soon I turn on to watch Korean TV that I have a legal subscription to, as I loved K-dramas.

That's when the TV showed a tournament playing. I forgot it was the Super Major today, and the FSRL is huge in both Koreas. The tournament was just starting, and I decided to watch to see why the rest of the world outside Japan liked this so much. The first race happened, and I was immediately speechless. A race where everyone broke the world record- and who is Cobalt? Then the next race happened.

I can't believe it; the NRL declared war in such a violent way. I had so many questions. Who are the Bloody Broncos, why was the NRL, the biggest racing league in Japan, declaring war on a league no one in Japan has heard of? The world truly is bigger than I thought. Plus, with armed men, the NRL truly was connected to the underworld. The next races happened, and every single one either made me rise from my seat or helped me understand what racing can be.

I watched the show of Ruby, the crowning of Ivory, and the relay that made me see multiple styles of racing at the highest level. Then the pure dominance of Crimson. Now I knew why the NRL was so threatened; there's now a rival that can overtake them. Soon, I was watching the tournament with my employees, who heard me cheering. Soon they watched too, and they were also cheering like crazy.

They all got here after I watched the first race, so they watched almost the whole thing with me so far. We even connected to the entire floor's television cause it was such a slow day. Soon the next race began, and from the Broncos came someone called Agent Ash. Then the camera zoomed in on her, and I was speechless; it was Tactical Gray. I know cause I memorized her silhouette, body shape, hairstyle, and different outfits so I can immediately recognize her as soon as I see her.

The question is, what is she doing on a racing track, she's an idol. She wasn't a racing idol, as you see all around Japan, where racers had to perform after a race. No, she was just a singing and dancing idol with no racing experience. That's when I saw she already had a win in her record, and I soon looked it up. She won a mixed relay and barely finished before everyone, even though she had a lead and advantage, is what this article I'm reading is telling me.

Now she's racing by herself on one of the most dangerous races: the obstacle race. Where brutality is king and violence is inevitable. What could the Broncos be thinking, sending her into such a brutal race? I watched on, and as she stepped into the field, I noticed every other competitor look at her in fear. I saw every fear reaction: some wanted to flee, some wanted to fight, and others just froze.

Why were they so afraid of her, what did she do? The video drones spanned the field, showing multiple staff members on different teams hiding things within the field. Then each ran off as the contestants got weapons, gear, and more on them as the race was about to begin. Gray was holding a bunch of items in her outfit. I was so worried about her.

The race soon began, and the gates opened. Everyone rushed out as fast as they could, but that's when a chain lasso came and grabbed the front racer. The front racer, confused, didn't put up any resistance, so she pulled ahead, but didn't see she was pulling someone towards her. Everyone was speechless; it was Gray, and she was flying towards the first-place racer real quick. Soon she landed on top of her, and she did it so gently the girl didn't notice at first.

Gray took out a whip, and once the girl did notice, she whipped her. The girl screeched in pain, and Gray whispered in her ears, and soon the girl ran faster, crying. Gray whipped her again for some reason, making her run faster. Soon she was getting through obstacles with ease, pushing everyone off. Soon others began to attack her, but they were either dodged or repelled.

That's when someone accidentally hit the girl she was riding, knocking her out. Gray saw it, pulled off her chain, and lassoed away on her chains like Tarzan. She was swinging off from obstacle to obstacle, and soon she flew high above her competition. Still others started trying to shoot her out of the sky using projectiles and thrown items. That's when Gray took out a detonator from her pockets, and soon she clicked it after sending herself upwards towards the sky.

Soon explosions appeared, blowing up the other racers. The drone zoomed in and saw they were non-lethal bombs that used air pressure to blow people away. Soon she swung above the field until she reached the end and won the thing. The other racers were so far behind it was going to take a while for them to arrive. Everyone was booing her like crazy, and some rule changes are probably going to be made.

Soon Gray was being interviewed by a pissed off, but being as calm as possible interviewer. She then asked," Please give us an explanation for that bull…aw..performance?" Gray then, with a smirk, replied," I think I did great winning that." The interviewer then exploded in rage, screaming," YOU DIDN'T EVEN STEP ON THE FIELD ONCE!!" "HA HA HA!"

Gray laughed at her rage before responding," Yeah, I was way above them, where they look like what they are, cause they're nothing but ants beneath my feet." All the other racers tried to come at Gray before security got in between everyone, stopping them all from getting violent. All of them decided to curse at Gray instead as Gray taunted each and every one of them. Everyone was booing Gray, which is the opposite of Onyx earlier, who, speaking of which, showed up and dragged her back to their area. Onyx shook her head in disappointment as Gray looked at her, upset.

The camera looked at their team, and her team looked at her in disbelief or disappointment. Their captain tried to calm the team down. Still, Azure said," Bro, if you didn't feel like running, you could have said something, and we would have gotten someone else to run." Gray responded," Yeah, but I wanted to win and enjoy crushing their dreams." Ivory then got in between both of them and told Gray," Bro, I've seen this shit before; you've shown a major hole in the rules that ruins the sport."

Ivory then got close to Gray, saying to her face, "They're going to patch that shit real quick. This isn't like what Celeste did where she messed with common shit that's hard to get rid of. This is game-breaking in a bad way." Gray then smiled at her face," Good. Now no one else can do what I just did, and I left my mark in the game once again."

The camera drone flew away, and I was speechless. She was truly a she-devil. I soon looked up her past races and made plans to meet with her. She was part of the Bloody Broncos team from Japan, it seems. Guess I know what I must do next, after the tournament, that is.

Tactical Gray POV:

Days ago, I found a game-breaking thing in the rules of the race. It came to me like lightning, fast and immediate. It happened when we were stuck in our base. Everything worked out well, and no one found out about what we did that night in Wellington. Vic was still recovering, Mama was focusing on her training, GW was worrying about Iguro, and Rose was buying her gear.

Steel was arguing with Tsukasa, Lily was being cared for by ImP, and Spice was beefing with her rivals online. BlaD was working on her music. Sweets was studying the rule book for her race while working with Yuto, and Norn was getting together with Suzu. Finally, Jo and KiWi were plotting who knew at the time. Rain showed me her new exercise, as I like looking at her muscles like that.

Shut the fuck up, I know. Her new exercise was inspired by American Ninja Warrior. Which was a bunch of upper body exercises, swinging from rope to rope. Once I saw her do it, I knew I had enough material for tonight, and I had inspiration for what I would do next. I soon looked at the rules, and I knew it would work. I asked Rain to help me with the exercises she just showed me.

That dumbass not knowing what I was planning helped teach me rope-to-rope swinging techniques. Then I ordered chains, trained with them, and was taught riding techniques by Sweets, who was a country-born girl in her past life. Then she taught me lasso skills, while learning how to use the force of others to pull me by Jo. I even learned psychological techniques from KiWi at the same time. Soon everything came together, and I kept my plans a secret from everyone.

Days passed, and the day of the tournament came. By this time, I had already mastered everything thanks to my enhanced Uma Musume brain. This body also seems to be able to learn and memorize at a faster rate, like it was trained to do so in the past. Who were you, Tactical Gray, who were you before I took over? Soon the tournament began, and the races did so as well.

Each race went by, and each was amazing in their own way, with me having drop-kicked Rain in the face for her idiocy earlier. This tournament is looking to become one to remember already. Soon it was my turn, and after Rain, who was leaning on me, finally got off, I left. It's so obvious she likes me, but I'm not confessing first, cause I know that dumbass would just think I meant as friends and reject me without knowing what I truly meant. It's not that I'm scared of her rejecting me or anything.

I soon stepped onto the field and saw Yuto signaling that everything was ready. Perfect, the air bombs I added as a surprise gift for these ants are now ready. I looked around and saw each of them cower before me. It's so adorable when they do that. I've been studying the rules and common knowledge and psychology since I got here. I know this plan will work.

Soon everyone got into their gates, and inside the pod I prepared my chain lasso and whip I got. The gates opened, and I threw the lasso in a certain direction and soon started counting down, as I already measured how much time I needed. Once I reached zero, I lassoed the first-place runner where I predicted she would be and jumped, being pulled in her direction. I flew and landed on her back as gently as I could without her noticing me at first. Once she did, I whipped her before whispering in her ear," I'm going to keep whipping you until you get to the end, so you better be quick about it."

She got scared, and I whipped her again, making her run faster. Don't you just love horse riding? We ran as I fended off the angry little ants, until they got smart and took out my steed. I used my second chain to begin phase two of my plan. I Tarzan-swung, lassoing different obstacles with my two chains as I glided over the course.

I smiled as none of them could reach me, but soon they started throwing objects at me like the imbecile apes they are. I luckily dodged, and soon I took out my detonator. I clicked it, and soon all the air bombs activated, causing chaos as I kept swinging from place to place. I could hear them booing me, every single one of them. I didn't care; I needed to do anything to win, and to do that I needed to stay healthy.

What people don't know about me is that when I entered this body and we started working hard, I felt like something was wrong. I checked with Mana after joining the team; she told me, in common terms, this body was a glass Uma Musume. It means, like Sakura Laurel and Mejiro Ardan, I was injury-prone and fragile compared to other Uma Musume. Except I was also less talented than those two. I wish I could work hard like Rain and be able to hone my body into something great like her, but no, I was put in a fragile and untalented body.

Compared to regular humans, I was overpowered; compared to Uma Musume, I wasn't even considered anything. That's why I had to make them fear me and do whatever it takes to win. Only the heads, team leadership, Jo, and Rain knew about this; that's why they helped me create interesting ways to better myself. At least my body still has the durability that surpasses humans, and can learn and adapt, even if I have to make sure it doesn't crack to pieces. I soon swung enough to get to the finish line, and everyone was pissed.

Which is to be expected after what I just did. Soon I was pulled aside for the interview by a really pissed-off crew. It just shows how much passion this world has for racing. Once everyone arrived, the interviewer, obviously ticked off but holding herself back, asked," Please give us an explanation for that bull…aw..performance?" Wow, she really is holding back her rage.

I decided that I'm going to tease everyone, so I replied," I think I did great winning that." She exploded, screaming," YOU DIDN'T EVEN STEP ON THE FIELD ONCE!!" I laughed out loud before responding to mess with them even more," Yeah, I was way above them, where they look like what they are, cause they're nothing but ants beneath my feet." That did it, and soon the other players came to fight me, I didn't back down, cause I could probably cause some suspensions if I didn't. The referees and staff separated us, and Rain came and pulled me out of there.

Rain, I'm trying to mess with them; why did you stop me? I didn't say it out loud, but her shaking her head made me realize I might have pissed off parts of the team as well. A lot of them have pride in racing, and this stunt might have pissed the others off. Once we got there, I was right, and most of them were either disappointed or pissed. ImP and Spice came towards me, and soon Imp spoke, saying," Bro, if you didn't feel like running, you could have said something, and we would have gotten someone else to run."

How dare she say that to me? She doesn't even know the hard work I went through and my struggles. How dare she say that to me? I calmed down and told her a half-truth," Yeah, but I wanted to win and enjoy crushing their dreams." The first half was true; the reason was for me to prove, even as fragile as I am compared to them, I'm still the one they needed to fear. ImP might be observant, but sometimes her beliefs can blind her.

That's why I'm forming a belief in her head that I only do this to be a jerk. That way I'd blind her even more from the truth as a little bit of revenge. Then when she does find out about my condition, it makes her feel terrible about talking this much shit towards me. I smiled, but soon Spice came in and told me," Bro, I've seen this shit before; you've shown a major hole in the rules that ruins the sport." Oh my, Spice is calling me bro, which means she's not talking to Tactical Gray, but to the soul who inhabits this body.

She was talking to_, the person who I was before I awoke in this world and became an Uma Musume. This means she's serious and isn't fucking around for once. She then continued by saying," They're going to patch that shit real quick. This isn't like what Celeste did where she messed with common shit that's hard to get rid of. This is game-breaking in a bad way."

I see; this is from experience and knowledge. I tell her my thoughts directly," Good. Now no one else can do what I just did, and I left my mark in the game once again." That was the truth about the situation. I then saw the drone leave, and I spoke to my team, saying," Now no one can do what I just did, and now, like last time, the game changes once again."

I continue as everyone was now paying attention to me," Time may pass, and I may be gone from the game someday. Still, do you know what will never go away? My mark on this game, cause after tonight the game will change, cause the rules will have to. Records will be broken, achievements will be made, but the league will always have a piece of me within it. In this league and even maybe outside of it, my mark will never disappear."

I then laugh and say," Do you know what the funniest part is? This is just the beginning, cause I'm just getting started." Everyone was silent, but soon Vic spoke, saying," You know this is why people think you're a villain, right? Not only do you cause trouble and are unapologetic about it. You somehow also do crazy ass villain speeches like that."

Everyone else laughed, agreeing with him. Rain then agreed with Vic, saying," Yeah, and the fact everyone in the stadium saw that cause you forgot the hanging cameras are still on and you forgot to remove the mic attached to you from the interview earlier. You didn't even realize cause you were so proud of yourself too." Everyone in the stadium was speechless as I realized I was still on the big screen. Goddesses, damn it.
