I'm about to meet what could possibly be my team today. I had to get up and call upon my staff for this glorious meeting and occasion. A certain scout I had met a few days ago promised me a creative and strong team. Leading up to this event, I was looking to get into professional Free-Style Running. Even though I am a successful businesswoman, I was born the twin sister of an Uma Musume, but I was born human.
She brought our family glory and honor in Europe, as our family is from the United Kingdom, even though our father is Japanese. Still, I was considered lesser than her, even though I had made our family so much money. I decided that I would start my own company as far away from my family as possible and sponsor a team in Free Style Running. My sister is in regular races, I believe I can make a mark my own way where she is not, I even changed my last name to my father's. I created a fashion brand that is making money locally and internationally already, but I wanted a team to bring it to the next level.
I didn't have to yes, but I wanted to. I brought over staff that I considered my friends and who I know are very good at the jobs I assigned to them. I even designed my company to support the team in a way that both can support each other without sapping the other dry. Still finding the athletes was difficult as no international stars wanted to move to Japan to join my team, and the sport isn't very popular in this country. That's why I used my resources to find scouting agencies to help find athletes that I could use to build my team around.
I soon met Ayana Hiraga and she told me about a very strong team she has. She was confident in them and showed me their practice records and performance recordings. With what I can see so far they're at a world-class level with the elites if we're talking about flat racing. In Free Style Racing I'm not too sure what level they would be at. I'm embarrassed to say that I'm going into the sport lacking experience.
Still, I'm not a fool, so I ask what the catch was, as to why they're not signed with any club or organization yet. She basically told me their requirements, which boiled down to wanting to be paid well, having the ability to do performances at the tournaments, which is an option. Then having creative control, and strategic control, with a budget for great performances. I told Ayana I'll agree to the pay, but I want to meet halfway on the creative control and strategic control. Then I told her that for the performance and budget, they have to show me a video of a performance and they have to agree to a mandatory practice for performances and training.
Finally, I demanded to have a meeting with the team before signing anything, and do my own tryouts to see their level for myself. I also said hiring and firing of staff are up to me. I then agreed that unless requested by a player trades resignings and firings of the players have to go through the team and their agent first. She agreed and soon the meeting was decided. I gathered some of my servants and staff to make necessary preparations, as some will be the team's staff and some are just my personal staff.
Today was the moment of truth as soon as I heard about the agency's bus arriving at my organization's newly built base from one of my butlers. It was go time, as the base was designed like a western mansion I greeted my new guest. They all arrived in track suits and once they came into the team's base I greeted them like a proper lady should. "Good morning Miss Ayana Hiraga, and these must be the very ladies you have excitedly spoken about. I am looking forward to seeing what they can do."
They were all speechless for some reason, but the awkward silence was soon ended by Ayana. "Yes, they are all looking forward to today's tryouts." I nodded at her and soon they were led to the practice field by one of my butlers. When we arrived I began testing each of them and I was impressed with what I saw. I tested them in every distance, every track, and every time I saw what they could do.
Victory Gate was clearly the team's leader, and everyone there clearly respected her, she is very adaptable and tactical in any situation. Mama Blues the second in command is very observant and caring as well as very fast and has a ton of stamina to boot. Then there's Tactical Gray, while not as talented as the rest lives up to her name of being tactical and knowledgeable, using it to win any situation. Next is Tyrant Rose a charismatic yet conservative individual, who is very swift and untouchable as well as agile and very handsome for a woman. After is Great Wonder a lady like me and is very kind and athletically gifted, she is also gentle and cooperative with others, which worries me a bit.
Then there is Enduring Rain a bold and energetic fellow, who like his name has a lot of endurance and toughness and seems not afraid of hard work at all. Next after is Edged Lily who is highly talented in every aspect, but not afraid of punching above her weight class, still she is kind of socially awkward. Then there's Steel Valkyrie I can feel the desire for victory and competition from a distance, and her strength just by meeting her. After there was High Spice has a lot of stamina, perfect pacing, and an insane final kick perfect for dominant stayers, but is a complete uncaring bitch. After her is the honest and observant Imperial Punk, who's a great runner and a great all-rounder.
Then after them is Sweet Pollen a feminine tough girl who loves physicality thanks to her natural toughness and strength. Next was Black Diamond the creative force of the team and a natural sprinter in any terrain. Then I saw an amazingly brilliant talent, Endless Journey, she is adaptive to everything, naturally curious, and amazingly flexible in strategy, form, and style. Next was Norn Viking, whose eyes I saw had the same desire for freedom and brilliance I had, she was flexible, smart, and very athletic. Finally was the psychopath weirdo with endless energy and stamina King Wild, she sprinted through everything getting faster every time, she's crazy.
I was very impressed with this team, and soon gave them a rest, showers, and let them change clothes. Still, during that time the staff I hired to watch with me were asked by me their thoughts on the recruits. The staff hired for training and caring for the team approved of their abilities, but wanted medical records and tests done just in case. While the ones in charge of supply and performance wanted to see the performance videos first. We soon gathered everyone and we soon watched their performance video in the team's video room.
We soon saw their performance, they all wore rented suits, and the video seemed to be a music video style. The title said," Out of the Way, written and produced by Black Diamond." It was an original song, one that I've never heard of. The song began and it soon mesmerized me, then they all began dancing. The performance was smooth, slick, and cool, the vocals were a mixture of great to top tier, and the music was something I had never heard before, a genre I had not explored, but was definitely going to later.
I was stunned, and in absolute awe, they weren't perfect, the video wasn't top tier as it was obviously recorded by a phone camera. They were not in perfect sync or in perfect cooperation, and the suits were not top of the line either. Still looking around I and everyone else were having a great time, they just needed some tweaking and we were the ones who could do it. I knew I had to sign this team, because I wanted them more than ever. The show ended and I requested a meeting with Ayana, and the team's leadership it was time to sign some contracts.
I got them to agree to do medical examinations and we all got what we wanted. Still, I gave them the team's naming rights in exchange for total staff control. We all shared creative and training responsibilities, and we all put in the necessary details and clauses. After signing everyone and everything, I now have a team that I have to move in. I gave the team an allowance to buy new stuff, and told my staff to prepare for work, for I had to look for a coach.
