Hani and Emma had made plans for the weekend. They chose a day, and Hani requested her one and only wish. With Emma's father improving and Stella's confirmation of her passing score, everything seemed to be heading in the right direction. With one less thing to worry about, Emma was thankful.
Since Emma was a person who kept her word, especially to Hani, she had agreed to Hani's wish. The one wish she made for acing her trials. Hani has discussed it with Mai, intensely trying to whittle down her dozen wishes into one.
[Mai: Wish number 5 seems to have great potential, but I will have to say that 14 is so not worth it. Emma will probably do that even without a promise like this!]
[Hani: I guess so. At this point, I am stuck between 5, 9 and 18.]
Hani stared at her phone. It was near midnight as she lay in her bed, duvet over her head, texting. She had spent so much time chatting with Mai that she had forgotten the time entirely.
