Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Noah's past

Noah was at a gate. He saw a lock on it and ignored it, cutting it open with his shadow blade. He saw what he wanted there were three prisoners, who became happy when they saw who broke the door open.

"Finally, I rescued you all. Suiryu is a dumb god for having such a bad security system," said Noah.

Just as he said that, the area around him started glowing gold, and an unknown entity with 12 wings, one eye, and a giant body descended. It aimed its hand at Noah, and Noah felt divine pressure crushing him. His mates were freed because Noah had released them, and they were teleported into another dimension.

Some soldiers of Suiryu's army saw the explosion and reported directly to him.

"Hahaha, fool. He fell for the trap, because when he opened the prison gate, the summoning spell of Doderach was activated."

Doderach was a divine entity that even gods feared. This entity lived in an unknown space no one knew where. When he was summoned, he was never fully summoned; only 10% of his power manifested.

Noah stood in front of Doderach. He couldn't summon any of his undead because, in this dimension, dark energy was completely suppressed. He only had his shadow blade, with which he tried to defeat Doderach. But Doderach launched a divine wave, and Noah was thrown to the ground. Many holy knights surrounded him, and after a long battle, Noah defeated them while his teammates were removing the seals from themselves after their hands were freed, allowing them to use their powers.

Noah stood, covered in blood, facing Doderach. Suddenly, his friend stepped in front of him.

"You can't use any power, and you only have swords, so sit back and let us finish this, chicken," said Rico.

A long time ago, when the God of Destruction was defeated by the gods, Noah had defeated many beasts and warriors with his swords at a very young age and encountered an old man.

He trash-talked the old man and said he could beat him with one hand. Right after that, he got beaten badly. The old man didn't kill him instead, he offered to teach and guide him. Noah then met three youngsters who were training with the old man.

One could use elements fire, water, earth, and wind.

One was a martial artist who relied purely on strength and skill.

One used weapons and fused energy with them to strike.

All of them were strong. Even together, they couldn't defeat Noah, yet Noah still needed training.

He lifted giant rocks, wore heavy weights, practiced sword attacks, and meditated. During meditation, he discovered he had a strange energy it was dark. He remembered reading about it in a book, and when he reread it, he learned:

Dark energy was an extremely rare energy not everyone possessed. It was used for mind control, necromancy, advanced weapon fusion, and more.

Noah became deeply interested in necromancy and tried to learn it by himself. One day, he killed a giant orc and attempted necromancy on it and succeeded. He ran to his master to show him. The master was stunned that Noah had learned it alone. He knew Noah possessed rare dark energy but never expected him to master it on his own.

The master then trained Noah in everything he could, even though he himself didn't have dark energy. Noah became an absolute beast, defeating every opponent he faced.

One night, Noah sensed a massive presence approaching his master's house. His master stood in front of the house, facing it. Noah tried to ask what was happening and who it was then his master dropped dead.

"HAHAHAHA! FOOL, HE REFUSED ME, THE GOD OF SOULS!" said Psyche.

"I wanted you in my army, young boy. You had great potential," said Psyche.

Noah erupted with dark energy coiling around him. He screamed,

"ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!"

But his master had anticipated this. Knowing Noah would get himself killed fighting a god, he had cast a spell on the house, teleporting Noah and the others far away into the mountains.

"Huh? Where did that brat go?" said Psyche.

After that, Noah didn't cry. He calmed down. Rico, Kai, and Akira kept asking where the master was, and Noah replied, "Master went into deep meditation. I don't know how long it will last, and he teleported his house here because I'll train you from now on in the mountains."

They knew Noah was lying they had some idea of what happened that night because they had seen Psyche, the God of Souls, outside the window.

They continued to live together and train. Even after completing their training, Noah was still consumed by rage and wanted revenge. He stalked Psyche and found him near Sky God Suiryu's castle. Noah mistakenly thought they were at war and stepped in as a third party. Sky God Suiryu captured him and locked him up.

That's when his teammates arrived. They rescued him and fought the Sky God together, defeating many angels and sylphs. They were forced to escape. Noah escaped, but he couldn't save his mates.

From then on, he began preparing reviving as many undead as possible and growing his undead army. He even found a dead elder dragon and turned it into one of his undead.

Back in the present, Noah's teammates were making Doderach struggle. With one final strike, they shattered the dimension and defeated Doderach.

They quickly carried Noah away and hid.
